Dear Lima Mentor Tours,
I'm writing to see if your company has a guide who could help my husband and me explore historic sites and museums in the city of Lima on Sunday, January 18, Monday, January 19, with an option of Tuesday, January 20. I am a travel writer with an assignment on the Peruivan Amazon, and I will also be writing an article on must see places for travelers who are landing in Lima for a short time before going on river trips.
We have been looking at guidebooks of Lima, and think it would be a good idea to have walking tours of the Plaza Mayor area, perhaps on Sunday morning as people are coming and going from the Cathedral; the Miraflores Area (the Malecon and the artists’ markets at Parque Kennedy, plus art galleries); and the Barranca area (Pedro de Osma Museum),
There are a number of additional sites that sound fascinating, for instance the Larco Museum, the Church of San Francisco and the catacombs, Huaca Pucllana, and the Magic Water Circuit. If you would like, we can send you our entire list.
Can you advise me of your rates, and also recommend ways for us to tour the city with a combination of walks and car rides. We are also interested in your ideas for experiencing the everyday life of local residents.
Our hotel for the five days will be the Tierra Viva Miraflores Larco:
- Address: 180 Bolivar Street, Miraflores - Lima
- Phone number: + 51 (1) 6371003.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Best,
Emilie
