Best Tour I’ve ever been on!

Zagreb Tours offers perfect tours for Croatia. We took the best of Croatia tour and we would never have found half the great things they took us to. Vanja our guide handled every detail and was the perfect host. His details on history and the foods of Croatia was spot on. I would never tour Croatia without them.

Zagreb Tours is a Must

Zagreb Tours is a must for anyone planning a European holiday. If I could give them 6 stars I would. I first contacted Davor in January 2020 about a holiday in December of that year. Then Covid struck and things were put on hold, firstly until 2021 and then until 2022. Davor couldn’t have been more helpful in organising our holiday and the hotels he suggested were all first class, our favourite being The Esplanade in Zagreb. Tomislav (Tom) was our driver/guide and we couldn’t have hoped for a nicer fellow - quiet, helpful, flexible, very knowledgeable and a coffee lover. Leaving Tom at the end of our trip was like leaving an old friend. We travelled from Zagreb to Zadar stopping at Plitvice Lakes, then to Split and Dubrovnik. From there we had a day trip to Kotor in Montenegro where the scenery was breathtaking. We then crossed over to Bosnia and Herzegovina where we stayed in Mostar and Sarajevo, then back to Zagreb for six nights. My only regret is that we did not spend more time in Croatia. There is so much more to see. Thank you Davor and Tom.

Amazing Trip to Croatia!

ZagrebTours and Davor, our amazing tour guide, curated an exceptional travel itinerary for my family of 6. He selected wonderful hotels, provided excellent restaurant recommendations, selected fun activities based on our groups interests. Some of the highlights from the trip include: wonderful wine tastings, city tours/walking the walls of Ston and Dubrovnik, truffle hunting, mussel and oyster tasting, plitvice national park and so much more! Davor is a wonderful guide and very knowledgeable. He made everyone feel like Croatia was home for 10 days. We will definitely be using ZagrebTours and Davor for our trips in the future!

Great trip to Croatia, great guide Davor, apart form making the trip incredibly amusing he is a very well informed tour that would try to explain you any little doubt you may have. I love the mixt between a great history class and a wine tasting. Definately would recomend Davour and Zagreb Tours to anyone that goes to Croatia.

An Amazing Trip to Croatia!

We had the most memorable trip with Davor through ZagrebTours! Davor showed us all around Croatia and it was absolutely splendid. He planned very special and authentic activities for us from truffle hunting with dogs, to visiting an oyster farm and getting to try fresh oysters and mussels directly from the lake, to a wonderful wine tasting with a local family who prepared homemade appetisers and desserts to pair with the wine. We visited the beautiful Plitvice Lake National Park and Davor also went out of his way to take us to visit the smallest town in the world! Every detail was so well planned and thoughtful; I couldn't imagine a better vacation! Davor is very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Croatia and he made it very interesting for us to learn about! By the end of the trip Davor felt like another member of our family! If you want to experience Croatia, I absolutely recommend booking ZagrebTours with Devor!

Trip of a Lifetime

Visiting Croatia for the 12 days my family and I were there was utterly incredible. It’s was certainly a trip of a lifetime and one that we will never forget. Zagreb Tours truly made our trip what it was. I do not think that we would have been able to see and do half the things we did without our guide, Davor. I could not recommend this tour guide group more. My family and I were so thankful to them for helping us spend our first family tip together in 10 years. We are forever grateful and certainly hope to use Zagreb Tours again in the future!

Superior tour host with a wealth of information on the city and extensive surrounding areas!

Davor is a fantastic host, who knows all the ins and out of the history and travel bests of Zagreb and the extended surrounding area! We had an extended day tour, we went to all the places of importance and a few more. In addition, his recommendations for Zagreb and the rest of Croatia were spot on, be it hotels, bars, restaurants, or sights to see.

I got way more out of Croatia because of our tour and his helpful advice and recommend the same for you. Croatia is bigger and has more to see than I expected, make the absolute most of your time and let Davor show you the best of it!

Also too his English is awesome so that makes things easy also. A full 5 stars, especially for spending a bit of extra time on a few of the specific attractions I most enjoyed!

Exploring beautiful Croatia

I was in Croatia on business and having a spare day, I wanted to get the maximum out of that. I booked a day with Guide Davor in a very comfortable car. I got exactly what I wanted. What I most appreciated was the first hand account of growing up in a sometimes troubled region And by the end of the day I had a very good foundation of the geographic and historic reality of the area. Davor speaks perfect English and was a very congenial host. Not only would I highly recommend, but I’m planning to use their services again in the future.

Great Organization of a Balkans tour

In April/May 2022 I made a 4-week tour of the Balkans. The tour was organized by Zagreb Tours. It was originally planned for April 2020 but had to be postponed. They conducted the tour without extra cost in 2022. The organization was outstanding. I had two guides, each driving me for about half of the tour. Everything worked like clockwork. During the tour I wanted to put more emphasis on bird watching than originally planned. Both guides went out of their way to research bird watching sites during the tour and added visits to many bird watching sites. During that tour I visited Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Slovenia. I can highly recommend Zagreb Tours.

Awesome 10-day UNESCO tour of Croatia

Short version: My wife and I booked the 10 day UNESCO Treasures of Croatia tour with Zagreb Tours, and it was even better then we hoped for. Davor made the planning easy and accommodated some itinerary modifications with no fuss. Tomis was a superior guide and host, making our trip informative, smooth, and worry-free. The hotels we stayed at were top notch and well located. The locations we visited were spectacular. We will return to see more of the Balkans sometime in the future, and when we do, we will use Zagreb Tours. We highly recommend them.

Long version: We've lived in Europe, have traveled all over the continent, return frequently, and are very comfortable traveling on our own. However, with COVID reeking havoc on travel right now, we wanted some assistance to improve our odds of pulling this trip off without getting thrown into quarantine or making some administrative COVID-related error that prevented us from entering the country. After extensive internet research, we selected Zagreb Tours. I am so glad we did. Davor was easy to work with, and the itinerary we settled on turned out to be absolutely wonderful. He made sure we had our paperwork straight both coming and going so we had absolutely no problems entering or leaving the country - which was a major concern. Our guide - Tomis - was knowledgeable, articulate, professional, personable, prompt, and passionate - a superb ambassador for Croatia and great guy. He was a big reason this trip was so remarkable. Normally, we plan and execute our own trips in Europe, however, having someone else do the planning and handling the driving and logistics really does remove almost all of the stress of travel. We highly recommend using Zagreb Tours to anyone looking for a travel company in the Balkans. Zagreb Tours is a first class organization.
