Ho visto questo edificio storico solo da fuori perché in ristrutturazione! Anche solo da fuori non mi ha colpito un gran che sinceramente! Di edifici simili ne ho visti a decine e questo rimane leggermente anonimo dal mio punto di vista. Buon giudizio a voi popolo di TripAdvisor.

Estava encerrada para obras. Lamentavelmente, em agosto 2023, a maioria das igrejas encontravam-se encerradas para obras. Lamentavel!

The Church of Saint Catherine dominates the square of Catherine, the baroque building was built at the beginning of the 17th century by the Jesuit order. Before the St. Catherine's was built, a 14th-century Dominican church occupied the area, but the Jesuits thought the original church too rundown and inadequate, and worked to build this new church.
I read that it is considered to be one of the most religious buildings in Zargeb, yet it seemed to be rarely open. Furthermore, there is no clear indication of the opening hours outside, nor on the official tourism promotion website. Information to tourists and pilgrims needs to be improved.
By the way, if you go to the right side of this church building, you can see the cathedral in front of you.

Church Of St Catherine ( Crkva Sv Katarine ) is a beautiful church that is one of the oldest in the city ,when the Jesuits arrived in Zagreb in the 17th century they decided to build a church and from 1620 till 1632 this church was constructed and although it's had two devastating fires in 1645 and 1674 the church has survived ,it's a great looking church,very photogenic and easy to locate along Katarinin Trg in the Old Town ( Upper Town ) .

It is a shame that it is temporarily closed and you can not go in. It is located at the top of the city. From the outside it looks very beautiful.

La chiesa di Santa Caterina è uno dei monumenti religiosi più importanti di Zagabria.
Come indicato da altri utenti la chiesa è raramente aperta al pubblico. Inoltre all'esterno non è presente una chiara indicazione degli orari di apertura, e nemmeno nel sito web ufficiale di promozione turistica.
Da migliorare fortemente l'attenzione nei confronti del turista e del pellegrino.

Tried to visit this church twice but it has been closed on both occasions. Nice piazza at the back with views of the Cathedral and upper town.
So many of the hotels are simply closed in Zagreb. Disappointing as I’m inspired by their architecture.

Nothing spectacular about this church, but it is still a beautiful place. It was closed when we were there, but the white front entrance looked pretty.

ロトルシュチャク塔から聖マルコ教会、石の門と巡ったのですが、聖マルコ教会と失恋博物館の近くにこの聖カタリーナ教会がありました。白亜の教会で清楚な雰囲気を漂わせている教会です。雨が降っていたことおあり、しっとりとした落ち着いた雰囲気を感じてとても良かったです。

As part of a 'walk by' St Catherine's is certainly worth visiting, but whether it happens to be open is perhaps problematic.
The inside is a simple baroque style & is an obvious reflection of the Jesuits influences where devotion & good deeds were paramount, with a whole lot less influence on grandeur & hierarchy of the church order.
Consequently this church seems intimate & serene.
It is still an operating church hence opening hours are variable.
