My sister and I visited this winery when visiting Annapolis because it was rated highly and listed as a top thing to do when visiting the city.. We had a reservation for wine tasting and ran about 10 minutes late, which wasn’t a problem for them. I gave this place two stars because the outside area was beautiful, the inside area was cute, and it looked like there would have been live music as we were leaving… however.. the wine tasting was insanely disappointing. Firstly, it’s very expensive for a single wine tasting of 6 pre-packaged wines (30$ per person)… secondly, for whatever reason, the wine is prepackaged in what looks like plastic shampoo bottles… I am not sure if this is what made the wine taste so bad, or if the blends they chose to mix together just made for an unappetizing wine, or if they just don’t grow good grapes… but there was not a single damn wine I liked or wanted a second glass of. In addition, the wine tasting is “self guided”, so they give you a list with the wine names and flavor notes and you pour your own drink… personal preference maybe but i would have liked to have had someone telling us about the wines and winery, pouring for us (or at least providing us with the wine in glass flights we could have poured ourselves), I would have liked a discard cup or some complimentary crackers… it just seemed minimalist and cheap for that price. they do sell a la carte crackers, cheeses and meats that you can buy separately… supposedly those are local but honestly those were unappetizing and expensive as well… people seemed to be enjoying themselves but I honestly thought the wine was swill and I would NOT recommend this as a top thing to do. Just my opinion. Side note: they don’t have high chairs available.

Disappointing experience. It was an uncomfortably hot day, and my two sisters and I (all from out of town), stumbled upon this place, We were surprised to discover that we needed a reservation to sit inside. I live in an area where wineries (and breweries) are abundant, none of whom require reservations. And, the only outdoor fan being provided, was a large, industrial sized one blowing on the three young girls/hostesses, who were all staring at their phones. We each had one glass of wine, which we did not finish drinking. It was too hot, and the wine was not very good. It is a beautiful property, but the employees and policies were not welcoming.

We stopped here on Saturday afternoon to have some wine and listen to the Live music. We had the white wine flight and it was great!
The patio has plenty of seating with umbrellas. It is also dog friendly. They have a food truck which has sangria and snacks like brie. There’s also an indoor area to sit that has air conditioning. However you need a reservation if you would like to sit inside.it’s a great thing to do if you are in the area!

A few of us got together for a Farm to Table event at this winery on 20 July. What a joke! The tickets were $60 and the way they marketed the event, many thought it was going to be a buffet. Instead, tables were outside in almost 100 degree weather and individuals were coming around with what was less than a bite size taste of menu items. You only got one of each one. When I asked one of the servers walking around, the response was "this is it". $60 for maybe 6 bite size items and almost drinkable wine at $30 a bottle. The 2 glasses that came with the 6 bites was totally tasteless, and with the heat, was way too warm. We left halfway through to go get something to eat and many people had already left and many were leaving with us. There was no information on the farms that provided the food or where they were located other than the name of the farm. This whole thing was poorly organized. All I can hope, is that much of the money collected actually did go to the farmers.

Thank you for your feedback. That event was hosted and planned by Anne Arundel County Economic Development not Great Frogs. We only received a very small portion of the ticket price to partially reimburse us for the 2 glasses of wine that were supposed to be included in the ticket. We have passed this information on to AAEDC so they can improve their event.

Today, our Women’s Club got together at Great Frogs Vineyard for a Happy Hour. We all bought the tasting flights of 6 - 2 ounce bottles. Most split the tastings between 2 people. We were able the find two tables with umbrellas outside that the hostesses helped us pull together. I had made reservations for indoor seating as a back up in case the weather didn’t cooperate. We brought light h’orderves to share but they do sell a variety of cheeses and crackers. We met the young couple next to us who were sweet. The young man helped us adjust our umbrellas and his wife took a bunch of pictures for us. We decided this should be yearly event because we all had a wonderful time.

This is a sorry excuse for a winery. The wines they have on tasting, their Vintner’s white and red, are the most awful wines we’ve ever been peddled on. The white tasted watered-down new boxed wine. The red was pale, hardly any body and served very cold. They are NOT WORTH the $10 fee.
In case they missed, tasting means sampling a variety not a one glass one wine deal.
Ironically, There were on display some of their supposed acclaimed bottles but not of their staff knew about them. Neither were the bottles for tasting nor for sale. Is this a joke?
You’re better off at you local wine bar.

Great Frogs Winery is a hidden gem in Annapolis. The wine is very well done for the mid-Atlantic region. But what separates Great Frogs is the beautiful venue and restored barn. Worth a day trip!

Great ambiance. Friendly service. Delicious snacks. I enjoyed 5 of the 6 wines- maybe the white was good too, but not my thing. It was a very good way to spend some relaxing weekend time. I will definitely go back.

We did the celebration experience and had a blast! Best wine tasting I’ve done! They give you a flight and you get to go at your pace. The wine was great and snack plate paired perfectly. And the gift did not disappoint!

What an amazing find! We recently visited Great Frogs Winery and enjoyed a 6 wine tasting. It was amazing. Great wines. Great service. Amazing venue. Must visit!

We have a group of ladies that might want to try this place for happy Hour/evening. What if we have non-wine drinkers in our group? Also, is there additional food to order if people want more than just cheese/crackers? Thanks in advance.

We were there with one non-drinker. I don't remember if there were other beverages, but we made a mistake and did not order the cheese and crackers in advance. We were unable to order on the spot. Hope that helps.

The hours vary but if you want a tasting make a reservation by calling. It is well worth it. They give you plenty of snacks and bottled water. Included in tasting. Just outside of town. It took us 5 minutes to get there from town center. Really close by.
