Es un lugar bellisimo para disfrutar de la montaña, paisajes, bosque y aves. Ecofiltros disponibles al subir excelente idea. Caminamos 8 horas y no logramos llegar a la cima es necesario mapas y mejorar la señalizacion del mirador. Para subir desde la entrada principal hasta el mirador se necesita entrenamiento y capacidad física, llevar alimentación e hidratación . Mejorar mantenimiento en la carretera, habían 2 árboles que obstaculizaban el paso uno parcial y otro total. Se necesitan opciones de transporte en caso de emergencias. No hay mapa, el señor que cobra no tiene capacitación en turismo. No hay numero de teléfono de emergencia onsi lo hay no informaron. Pero el lugar es sin duda MARAVILLOSO Y VOLVERE A SUBIR , SIN DUDA.

What a beautiful hike in the rainforest. There’s something for everyone. A great hike, beautiful hummingbirds and other species of birds, butterflies, beautiful avocado and banana trees, such pretty hibiscus and calla lily flowers and so much more. The air is so fresh and peaceful. The staff are friendly, the trail is really well maintained. Highly recommend.

This is a wonderful place to go just outside of Antigua, easily accessible by Uber (or you could walk there in about a half hour uphill, if staying on the south side of town).
We didn't explore the entire complex, but saw plenty. When entering, past the swimming pool, the road forks. To the right is the main dirt road, along which you can quickly get up in elevation or have more of a canopy view.
Straight at the fork, into a parking area and past the house with the 'ghost dog's sign, is a smaller trail with some boardwalks. Here are the hummingbird feeders and quicker intimate access into the trees.
The fruit growing areas were also interesting. An all around great place to spend a few hours.

65 Quetzales is a lot to pay for hiking on a bulldozed jeep track, but we figured the security was worth it. Except today we were attacked by a pack of four aggressive dogs while passing a property on the main trail. Luckily we had mostly passed their territory by the time they sensed us, but they sprinted up to us barking like crazy and looked ready to bite. We had to throw rocks as we backed away and eventually they went back to the property.
This could have ended very nasty if it was just one of us on their own, or with children, and had been caught further in their territory instead of mostly past it.
Simply, this is unacceptable. And the staff at the bottom did nothing about it except tell us we should file a written complaint. Well here's my written complaint.

Mal servicio al cliente, hubo cero comunicación de parte de la oficina, y al regresar habían dejado la entrada principal cerrada, por lo cual intentamos llamar al número pero nunca hubo respuesta!! La experiencia fue pésima!

We visited the place today with my mom and grandmother and we rally love the nature and pools. We where the only ones using the pools and we park the car close to the sidewalks ( not to obstruct the passage).
After few minutes a guard passed with his motorcycle saying in a rude way ( MOVE THE CAR BECAUSE IS NOT A PLACE TO PARK IT).
That was not all, then he returned with his motorcycle and circulated slowly in the area with some bad gestures. He did not stop looking at us we felt very intimidated because we already had paid for the pool tickets and our parking.
The administration should have more courteous staff in the area.
People if you really want to enjoy your day with your family and the nature try another spot, Finca Colimbia or Filadelfia have good amenities too.

Great little park to visit to find some unique birds while in the Antigua area. One of the few places around the region that actually has hummingbird feeder‘s. Look for regular visits from Rufous Sabrewings, Rivoli’s and Berylline Hummingbirds!

What an amazing walk through some of the most beautiful forest I have ever encountered, my wife and I are from Vancouver British Columbia so we are no strangers to rainforest hikes, for being so close to Antigua and such a small fee that is very obviously put into maintaining the amazing trail system we were in awe of Guatemala’s beauty

Just a short walk from Antigua is the start of a great hike on private property. For anyone wanting to be completely safe this is it. You pay a small fee, 50Q=$6.00USD.
There’s an unbelievable elaborately built wooden stair system you can use or follow the loggers route up to the finca “farm.”
It’s 10 miles Round Trip from the start, 3,000’ of gain. Starts at 5,000’-8,000’ and the views are amazing!
Volcan Agua, Volcan Fuego, Volcan Acatenango plus Antigua and from the summit facing the other side, Guatemala City.
Three large pools are fed by natural mountain water. It’s $2.00 USD to swim.
Worth every penny!
On your way here take a nice stroll passing coffee fields, a small village and Macadamia forests. Two small shops sell water, juice snacks and beer. The villagers are wonderfully friendly. I’ve done this hike three times now in two

The finca above allows camping you won’t believe the views! And there’s several small houses they rent.
Take a head net, mosquitoes aren’t the issue some crazy gnat colony thrives and I ate a few. They love the water in your eyes! You will only be bothered by them halfway up the road to the farm and back.

Pay a few dollars and go for a hike in the jungle. The vegetation and mushrooms make this space a sanctuary. It costs a little extra to hike and swim but it's worth it (and don't be cheap and just pay for the pool then hike, maintaining the space and protecting the environment takes money and if you can afford the extra $4, pay it!)
