I love gemstones and jewelry, so I jumped at the chance to take an all day class in gemology and I am so glad I did. I thought I knew a fair amount about gemstones, but I found out that my base knowledge is just the tip of the iceberg. The class started with an overview of the different types of gems and their cystaline structure, which became very important the second half of the day. I was able to ask any question I had and received an answer. The information I learned will be invaluable in the future and I look forward to taking another class in the States to learn more. If you are ever planning on buying jewelry anywhere, you should take this class!

Visited the place due to it's trust able review in TripAdvisor but the lady who is overall in charge seems to be very "high end" and kind of rather "stone face" in dealing with customer. We had no choice as we were really interested in buying the gems in the store in which we ended buying 5 stones. We would have bought more if not for this high end lady who seems to very "watchful" in we were in the store. She really need to go for some customer service class!!! She was also "high end" approach with the two poor ladies who were working in the store.

En plein cœur de Siem Reap, certes au milieu des touristes mais un très bon accueil.
Le personnel a pris le temps de nous conseiller et nous sommes partis avec un bijou original, typique, au prix très intéressant... avec tous les certificats nécessaires.
De retour en France la bague a eu un problème mais les échanges avec le responsable, chaleureux et efficaces, nous ont permis d'obtenir une nouvelle bague dans des délais très brefs!
Une excellente adresse pour ramener un joli "souvenir" du Cambodge.

I'm not a jeweller, but love and have collected gemstones and crystals since I was a little girl. This is a lovely pleasant place, with free tuktuk to and from the hotel - as long as you don't go to any other shops, which is a shame, if you do spend money there! I purchased some lovely pieces, however, the staff were very close. Everything is locked. I prefer to just look on my own and will ask for help if I want it, not have the staff hovering over me every second. I would recommend a look here.

I tried to get registered for class but missed the “2 weeks notice” portion of the registration. I went to the store as I had difficulty registering “my way”. The staff was super nice and explained that when I tried to register as 1, i would automatically be in a private class. I will definitely register correctly the next time I come out! Staff was knowledgeable with the questions I had about other stones and stand proudly behind the owner and his integrity! Very impressive.

I stumbled across this place whilst shopping in Siem Reap. I love my gemstones and jewellery and collect back in the U.K so I was in heaven in this place! There are so many pretty stones to look at on one side which is the little museum- and on the other side of the store are the pieces you can buy for a really reasonable price. The quality of the jewellery is really good and the staff were so friendly and professional. I left the shop with a beautiful onyx ring that will forever remind me of my time spent in Cambodia :). If I had more time here I would have loved to try out the workshop to make a ring myself!

We came across the Gemological Institute as we were exploring nearby markets. It’s an excellent place, with a wide variety of gems displayed beautifully.
I was fascinated by the precious gem display (gems not on sale) and I found the most perfect gem I have ever seen. It was the most captivating green gem I have ever seen. (I just wish I could recall the type and name).
It is absolutely worth visiting the Gemological Institute, and all the staff members are very professional, kind, patient and explain each gem of interest to you.
I will certainly return to Siem Reap and purchase a gem from here on my next visit.

Прочитав отзывы, решили тоже заехать и посмотреть. В результате, много что понравилось , очень качественные камни и грамотные продавцы. Рекомендую , на базаре камней настоящих нет, покупать надо только в сертифицированных магазинах!

Amoureuse de belles pierres, j'ai trouvé mon bonheur.
Nous avons été reçu par 2 charmantes vendeuses, mais malheureusement pour moi, elles ne parlent que l anglais et le mien n est pas top.
Mais quel choix, envie de tout acheter.
Magasin merveilleux, un peu à l écart de la rue et c'est très bien, je reviendrai.

I was with my husband walking pass the shop. We went in to look for blue or red ruby. It was pretty late that night and close to closing time , although they did not rush us but we decided to visit another day. We went back the shop three days later . They still can recognized us and this lady by the name Daini is very patience. She told us which stone is natural and which is heated .We cant find any ruby we like but she take the trouble to show us the Cambodia stones .She is very honest and we can tell the professionalism in her. She took her time to explain clearly and inspect each and every stones we see. Because due to the stone is not the one we are looking for, we need some time to consider. She never pull a long face and still asked us to consider before buying . We left after her long explanation of about an hour. Finally , we decided to go back to her and bought the stone. I should say that Daini in fact a Gem to the shop . Without her , we might not even want to get anything from that shop . Conclusion , the shop is reliable and its the best shop i can find in Siem Reap.

Hello Sandra!
You supposed to declare any valuable product in excess of $ 10,000. However, even if you carry stones of great value, it is unlikely that you will be controlled, unless you carry several kilograms of stones and the customs officer opens your bag unlucky.

There are no daily classes at fixed times. We arrange schedules depending to bookings. Short classes of a half day are usually during the week days, on afternoon.

I purchased a ring from your store last week. I left it to be resized but on pick up I was given my money back and no ring. It was a ring with several natural zircons dangling from it and I paid 80us$. I did not understand the shop assistant when she told me why I could have the ring. Can you please explain?

Sorry for this problem. In fact, at the beginning, you had planned to pick up the ring the next day. But the receptionist from your hotel called us to tell us that your flight timetables had been advanced, and that you would pick it up a day earlier than originally planned. He did of course warn us in advance, so we still had time to finish the work so that the ring is resized in time. The resizing of a ring doesnt take long, but unfortunately our jeweler didn't come to work the day you came to get the ring. So we were not able to finalize the work, and it is of course with regret that we could not finish your ring in time. I therefore asked my assistant to refund you in full and to send you my apologies and explanations. But it was not my assistant who refunded you, she's a simple saleswoman. That would explain why the explanations you received were not clear. If you are still interested in this ring we can resize it and we can offer you the shipping fee to apologize. In that case, we can talk about it as a private message. But in any case, we are sincerely sorry for this problem. We apologize again.

The course include a lot of visual and practical demonstration.
We give courses for children from 6 years old, so the "english level" is not a problem.
