The experience was great, although some long queues. We visited before spring festival but it was still very busy. Dress for the cold, it was -23C and with the breeze felt like -30C. Looks good during the daytime and amazing at night when all the sculptures are lit up. The snow park is not lit at night so you have to go in the daytime.

A group of us with 20 people just completed an 8-day travels to Harbin, Changbai Mountian and Shenyang. It was an amazing trip, with many beautiful nature scenes especially in Changbai Mountain, delicious and interesting local food with different types of hot pots (one even in an ice-cubicle) and exciting travel route such as the motor-cycle ride in 老裏克湖. Along with all the fun, we were all satisfied with the hotel accommodation as well.
This is a package offered by Wing On Travels in Hong Kong. We were led by a very responsible guide called Ben Leung. He partnered with a local China guide called La-La. Both of them were dedicated and helpful.

The Ice festival is worth braving the cold. Harbin is beautiful, the food is great and it's a short train ride to Yabuli to go skiing.

A very impressive, spectacular collection of ice carvings and ice and snow structures. I love it just as much as I did on my first visit. Be well-dressed for the frigid weather.

Whilst spectacular if you look at it in terms of creativity and application, im not sure it's really worth the cost of entrance just to say you experienced it. We went at night and it was extremely cold (as expected). The dome had very limited seating and it was impossible to find a seat to eat something.
Good range of food choices with 2 levels to choose from, and nice little stores to buy gifts etc.. but for $300 odd I could have given it a miss.

It's very impressive, and the view from the ferris wheel is excellent, but beyond the giant slide nothing really stood out as fun. It's very cool to look at, but don't budget too much time for it. There's only so long you can spend looking at an ice sculpture going 'yep, that must have been difficult to do'.

The scale of these ice sculptures and buildings in which you can enter must be seen to be appreciated.

Myself, my wife and my 5-year-old son had a great time.
Arrived early and went straight for the ferris wheel as recommended by our guide and avoided queing for too long.
Overall a nice experience. Food options limited.

A really amazing experience seeing this in real life. Some of the sculpture are huge and very impressive. We went in the non peak season and there was no waiting line, ticket price 298CNY/person, children under 1.2m have free entrance.Suggest to go around 3pm as you have the option to see everything in daylight and night, both being equally impressive.Make sure you have enough layers of clothes as it's going to be very windy.Take a break and warm up in some of the restaurants or shops, everyone does the same.Don't miss this place while in Harbin!

Impressive ice and snow sculptures and reason so many people visit Harbin around that time. Had a private tour van who took us there, however also easy to get to by taxi. Went late afternoon when it was already dark, did a ferris wheel ride and marvelled and the impressive ice sculptures, all illuminated on a cold but beautiful evening.

Is it open all year? Or only specific months?
Skrevet 22. november 2019
Yes Harbin Ice and Snow World usually opens from December to February only...

Hi, my mum want to see this ice sculpture. The problem is, she need he wheelchair from time to time. My question is wether this place is wheelchair accessible
Skrevet 18. oktober 2019
It depends on how icy the ground is at the time that you are there. Most of the ground was flat so it was easy for my wife to get around using a walker. This is different to a wheelchair as the weight of the person using it is distributed over four wheels and less likely to get bogged in wet ice.
I am going to ask the guide who showed us around the park if he thinks they should hire a similar walker so that more disabled people can see the sculptures.

Can i still see the ice and snow sculpture in Feb 25-29,2020
Skrevet 7. oktober 2019
Best period to visit is January....
Skrevet 7. oktober 2019
I was there mid January during the week and a Chinese National Holiday period. It is busy, but I didn't feel the crowd was overwhelming or too much. People are not bumping into you and you do not feel jostled as you walk around (during the day or in the evening).
