Incredible Guided tour.

Highly recommended Fijian experience. It was a great little hike, water was perfect to swim in and we loved meeting the local families. Thank you for allowing us to experience this beautiful waterfall.

Waterfall Fun
feb. 2020
This has to be one of the coolest things ever. You have to present a gift to the chief of the village that owns the waterfall and get permission to visit it. The village welcomed us with open arms and allowed us to see their village, along with swim in the AMAZING waterfull!

Take school supplies to the village rather than kava as advised--a pleasant walk and a swim at a waterfall
feb. 2020
The guidebooks and even our hotel owner told us to take 15 Fijian dollars worth of kava to give to the village chief. We were met by the chief's granddaughter (she will inherit the role when her grandmother and father die) and she advised us after receiving our gift to bring pens, books, paper, etc. for the schoolchildren in the future instead of kava for the men. Since we will probably not be back to that area, I want to pass that information on to whomever might go there in the future. She said the children need school supplies, including books, far more than the men need more kava to drink. They actually grow their own kava that you will see on the walk to the waterfall. We enjoyed swimming in the waterfall and the wall was easy and interesting.

Beautiful natural site/setting and wonderful people
apr. 2019
My wife and I hired a local taxi / guide during a day stop to Savusavu on a HAL cruise in April 2019.

The driver took us to this very scenic site where the local people greeted us and we paid a nominal entrance fee. It was well worth the price as we saw a very unique waterfall up close. Our local guide accompanied us along a +/- 1/4 mile path to the falls where we spent some time enjoying the scenery, watching others enjoy it, and swam and waded in the waterfall's pool. The local people who greeted us were wonderful and gracious hosts. The walking trail/path could be a challenge for some due to heat and uneven terrain but worth the effort.

We would not have found this site without the taxi driver / guide as the site is not well marked at the intersection of the nearest road and the unpaved road that leads to the falls.

Best Christmas Day Ever!
des. 2019 • Par
We had our own car and as instructed by our AirBnb owner went to the village chiefs daughters house and made an offering. They were very excited about their family visiting from another island (it was Christmas Day after all!) so we wished them lots of happiness and went to the falls. Not a long walk, and absolutely stunning lush greenery. We were the only ones there so just had to get in the water! Refreshing, peaceful and just perfect!

Nice clear water.

We were guided into the village and then to the waterfalls. It wasn't a really spectacular falls but it was cooling and the water was very clear. Our guide Elayne gave us very good advice when coming to a Fijian village - you shouldn't wear sunglasses or hats when meeting with the chief of the village. Women should wear something that covers your shoulders and knees. When sitting during the welcoming ceremony you shouldn't sit with your feet pointing towards the chief. Also don't take any pictures until you've presented the gift of Kava to the chief and the welcoming ceremony is completed. These are important things to know so you don't offend anyone. We did enjoy our day as it was very informative.

Must Do - Waterfall visit
okt. 2019
A group of 12 of us visited Vuadoma Village and Waterfall after two days of torrential rain. This didn't dull the experience in anyway. The area was lush and green and water was beautiful and perfect for swimming.

We were fortunate to have the whole place to ourselves as we went earlier in the day. So beautiful & the water felt so good. Could spend hours there.

Cascade sympa, le reste fort décevant
sep.
