Very poor crowd managenent. The filthy approach roads to such a holy place was shocking & led us to wonder why and how those with bhakti in their minds are contributing to this rot. The least that can be done by the temple management and local authorities is to remove the age old unclaimed shoes & slippers strewn everwhere on the road. All approach roads to the temple region was reeking of urine smell. While the temple per se is maintained well, the ordeal one has to undergo to reach the temple drains us down totally. Avoid visiting this place.

Beautiful holy shrine. For sr citizens darshan is very difficult due to huzle buzzle of a large no of devotees. There should be an exclusive entrance for Sr citizens & should not be mixed with normal crowds. Same procedure for ladies que.
Approach road to the temple is very narrow/crowded with lot of business activitiesToo many panda agents harassing devotees. There should be proper signage displays for each of the temples in the complex with unidirectional desciplined movement of devotees. Both dwaraka &bhet -dwaraka complexes should be administered on the lines of Somanath temple Trust.

The darshan was a divine experience. Standing in a queue was painful. This is very unfortunate that the temple has tight security due to terrorist threats, but in theory, the temple should be opened to all without any security. The VIP culture still exist in the temple which is unacceptable.

I am planning to visit Dwarkadheesh Temple and understand that it's in Jamnagar. what other places I can visit near to temple if I have only 2 days to stay.
Skrevet 9. juli 2017
It is around two hours from Jamnagar by train.
You need two days to cover Dwarakish and other local attractions( like Nageswar Jyothilinga temple, Rukmani temple, Gopi Talab, Beyt island etc.)
Somnath is too far away to cover in two days.

The Gomti, Gumti or Gomati River (Hindi: गोमती Gomtī) is a tributary of the Ganga River. According to Hindu mythology the river is the daughter of Sage Vashist, and bathing in the waters of the Gomati on Ekadashi (the eleventh day of the Sanatana Dharma-Hindu calendar) can wash away one's sins.[1] According to the major religious work, Srimad Bhagavatam, the Gomati is one of the many transcendental rivers in India.[2] It is the river where sacred Gomti Chakras are found.[3]The Gomti a monsoon and ground water fed river originates from Gomat Taal which formally known as Fulhaar jheel, near Madho Tanda, Pilibhit, India. It extends 960 kilometres (600 mi) through Uttar Pradesh and meets the Ganges River near Saidpur, Kaithi in Varanasi district.
After 20 kilometres (12 mi) from its origin, a very small river, the Gaihaaee, meets it. The river is a thin stream until it reaches Mohammadi Kheri (about 100 km from its origin), a tehsil of Lakhimpur Kheri district, where it is joined by some tributaries like Sukheta, Choha and Andhra Choha. From here the river is well defined. Later other tributaries join this river. These are Kathina at Mailani and Sarayan at a village in Sitapur district. Another major tributary is the Sai River, which joins near Jaunpur. At the sangam (confluence) of Gomti and Ganges, the famous Markandey Mahadeo temple is situated.
After 240 kilometres (150 mi), the Gomti enters Lucknow, through which it meanders for about 12 kilometres (7 mi). At the entrance point water is lifted from the river for the city's water supply. In the Lucknow area, 25 city drains pour untreated sewage into the Gomti. At the downstream end the Gomti barrage impounds the river converting it into a lake.
The cities of Lucknow, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sultanpur Kerakat and Jaunpur are located on the banks of the Gomti and are the most prominent of the 15 towns in its catchment area. The river cuts the Sultanpur District & Jaunpur city into two equal halves and becomes wider in Jaunpur.

It's approximately nine hours by road. And train also takes around the same time. Exact distance I will have to Google myself. :)

Dwarka is around 450 km from Ahmedabad. Earlier it used to fall under Jamnagar district but now I guess Dwarka itself is a district.
