One of the oldest and finest Eastman color cinema hall of Asia that was built in 1976 with the cost of 18 CR INR at that time. Had the centralised AC, chandelier and red carpet that made the finest cinema hall of its time.
Worth visiting if you happen to get the tickets for your favorite movie.

Sabarmati Ashram.
After his return from South Africa, when Mahatma Gandhi was not touring India to spread the word on satyagraha and non–violence, he stayed mainly in Gandhi Ashram Wardha or Sabarmati Ashram at Ahmedabad.
Sabarmati Ashram is located in an area of 17 acres on the banks of the Sabarmati River. Other than Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya (a Museum) almost all other buildings have been retained and maintained in the same condition as they must have been in the early 1920s when Gandhiji and his contemporaries had stayed there.
The complete ashram area has been kept very neat and clean. Saw the cottage where Mathma Gandhi and Kastur Ba stayed. I was named Hriday Kunj by Kakasaheb Kalelkar, Mahatma being the Heart (Hriday) of the Ashram. Also saw Vinoba Kutir where Acharya Vinoba Bhave had stayed during his visit to Ahmedabad.
Not much of a fan of Gandhiji, so the best part I enjoyed was the excellent view of the Sabarmati Riverfront and the ghat descending down to the water level of the Sabarmati River. Returned to the hotel from here and called it a day.

Don’t worry if you have not booked the train online pre handed you can go for a joy ride which can be bot at the station. Make sure you stand on the right side ticket counter otherwise you’ll be standing at the toy train lane which actually not easy to get offline. So if you want to get it’s ticket make sure you reach the station as early as possible to get it in the morning for left side passenger train lane. Ooty Toy train is one of the steepest in Asia, even steeper than its Himalayan counterparts. It is located 86 km north west of Coimbatore and 128 km from Mysore

Step back in time aboard the Kalka-Shimla Toy Train, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that connects the Indian plains to the ‘Queen of Hills. This toy train ride is one of India’s most incredible feats of engineering covering a staggering 102 tunnels, 864 bridges and 919 stunning curves.
The Kalka-Shimla train allows passengers to see mesmerizing sights and hamlets that they would have otherwise never witnessed. At 656 metres, the train starts climbing uphill, passing through the 18 stations and reaches Shimla, located at an elevation of 2, 076 metres in the lap of the Himalayas. As the train ascends through steep mountains and curves, its speed slows down. At every station, there are tea and snack stalls, so passengers can relish in the local food along the way. The journey is magical, to say the least.

Took this tour with XeniaCities and I would say it was one of the highlight of my trip. Very informative and knowledgeable guides with great communication skills. Pick up from hotel and drop of was exactly on time as communicated. The pottery workshop and interacting with the people was incredible. Can not recommend them more.

I travel a lot for a work-related purpose and ended up having to go to Delhi to meet a client. They recommended Xenia Cities and I must say that these guys have done a really awesome job on providing such luxurious authentic experience. The guide was very knowledgable, and I highly recommend them. They have differentiation in the market
