The palace is one of the only few tourist attractions of Jodhpur. It's divided into 3 parts as a museum, kings palace and hotel. It's not a old palace, as made very recently. Usually the organise luxury weddings here.
You can only access the museum as a tourist which is just a third part of the whole palace. The displays and architecture are beautiful. The garage with vintage cars would be the thing to add and one should definitely see.

Mind blowing palaces. The architecture and maintenance of this palace is unbelievable. You have to be there to feel the energy.

Muy pobre el. Museo para tremendo Hotel. Pocas cosas en exhibicion. Se visita en menos de 30 min. No vale la pena pagar entrada si no se puede ni asomar al hotel tan grande

First of all it's not fort anymore for public. This is house of King's Family which is not or should not be access for all.so why they charged with public just for outside building experience????
Maximum part of building is occupied by Taj Hotel.
Only 6 rooms ( small ) is Museum ??? Wow and that too pictures of their old family rulers , some antic clocks that's it. For this Guides are Charging Rs. 250 ???? This is actually called fraud .You can see all 6 rooms in less than 10 minutes ( including selfy) , but they will tell you that guide will explain 45 minutes tour covering whole museum. I must say they are cheater & advise for all not to hire them if accidentally visited there just have beautiful family photos. ( outside Building) & go for next place.

Hyped up place.
Just one glance from outside is max that one can try.
Inside, there’s no proper lighting, clear invisible information.
One can comfortably give it a miss without even having to regret.

Il palazzo è meraviglioso, segno evidente della ricchezza e della potenza dei nobili indiani per cui vale la pena m il museo in se non ha nulla da dire non vi sono elementi interessanti

Quite underwhelming. The architecture is mediocre which is masked by its size. Nothing much to see or admire. Give it a miss if time is limited

Class of architecture and old memories being restored. The display of vintage cars is really good. Worth visiting and the get to know the beautiful old things have been put in the museum

Tourists/ visitors can enter this museum by entrance ticket during the visiting hours, which otherwise is a five star hotel which is open only for the room guests of the hotel. The museum is in a part of this palace with a large collections of royal items nicely displayed in glass cases. One should visit this museum to also have nice glimpse of the beautiful palace from the outside which is otherwise not open for local public and tourists

If you're not staying at the hotel, there's not much point in visiting it. Good for some photos from the outside and a quick look at the car collection. It is a grand building.

You can pay to stay at the palace as it is a hotel as well. Considering the present situation it will accept guests according to government guidelines. So i suggest that you look into their website and call on the number to clear your queries.

Is a hole day is sufficient for jodhpurs visit?

If you want to just cover important tourist spot like mehrangarh, ummed bhavan (and some shopping) then 1 day could be doable. But i have been there for couple of years and i would recommend to spend at least 2 days. Spent sometime walking the lanes of blue city near the fort, savor some local cuisines, shop from local market. Many would say you can do this in one day but then you would be doing is just for sake of covering the spots and not living those moments, believe me :)

Yes they charge nominal 30rs for indian guest and 100 for foreign tourist.

it is not possible to visit the Palace unless you are staying there. A part of the palace is with Taj Group .

If elderly couple are coming alone to see the museum(they cannot climb stairs) will they be comfortable to see the place?

Yes! Its possible for them to visit . They don't have much stairs except at the main entry of the museum. They can take a 4 wheeler till the ticket are and walk up to the museum. There are around 6-8 stairs ( not steep) which leads to the museum so if they can manage that much stairs, they can visit the museum comfortably.
