Just loved learning about the history of Ooty through a local. Also walking through some old hidden pathways was quite enjoyable.

A very enchanting walk with Anne, through the storied countrysides of Ooty! A lot of fascinating facts about the native natural, cultural, historical landscapes were learnt as we ambled through the delightfully sensory and thoughtfully curated, scenic route. An unmissable experience! :)

If you really want to experience Ooty and its charms, then I highly recommend that you go on a walk with Anne.
I took two walks with Anne, "Into the countryside" and "Along the railway line" and it turned out to be the best experience I ever had, of any place. The walks are enlivened with Anne's warm personality and interesting anecdotes. Anne's knowledge of the flora and fauna, and the history of the place is amazing. She gently draws your attention to the little things that so often go unnoticed - the different types of moss, the shrubs and the varied colour leaves, the wild fruits, the different fragrances of leaves. In the midst of the walk, Anne offered hot coffee and refreshments which was really nice for her to bring along. Towards the end, she presented me a nice, little souvenir! ❤️
I requested her for suggestions of things to do, and she told me about a theatre play in Coonoor and took the trouble of arranging the tickets and driving me to the place and back. 😊
I will cherish the time I spent with her on the walks, it was the best part of my trip to Ooty. Now, I can't think of Ooty without thinking about Anne!

I had serendipitously chanced upon "Amble with Anne" and it turned out to be the best part of our Ooty trip!
We took two walks- "Heritage" and "Woods and Churches". Anne is someone who has grown up in Ooty and knows the city like the back of her hand. The Heritage walk was very informative (history of how the British established the city, the first few establishments, their evolution after independence, etc.) and the walk through the woods very peaceful (perfect for nature lovers who enjoy quiet settings and like to take offbeat walks).
To our delight, Anne even told us about all the flora and the history of the old houses on the way!
Anne is a great host and very hospitable. Her coffee picnic in the middle of the forest is something we will always remember. ❤️❤️❤️

Anne took us through scenic pathways, through woods and places of historical significance. It truly was an exhilarating experience for our family and we’d love to explore more with her when we return to ooty.

My husband and I were lucky to stumble across this activity online. We joined Anne for 2 walks and we thoroughly enjoyed both the walks. Anne is an excellent raconteuse whose facts and stories kept us engaged throughout our journey. Her knowledge on the flora and fauna is also amazing. She made the whole experience very memorable.She was also kind enough to bring refreshments for us. We would definitely recommend this and will go on the walks again with her whenever we visit Ooty again. Thanks Anne.

The highlight of our trip to Ooty. Anne is a amazing person to meet. She is very knowledgeable of the history, nature and people of Ooty and has many interesting facts and stories to share. My husband and I really enjoyed the walk, it was beautiful and interesting. She also gave us recommendations for places to visit and see in Ooty which were very helpful. We recommend this walk to anyone visiting Ooty to see Ooty beyond just its touristy places.

The highlight of my Trip was the walk along railway tracks with Anne. It was so so lovely, beautiful and warm. My friend and I went for this walk in Ooty, Anne was so welcoming she brought us fruits from her garden, coffee and buns for us to eat along the journey, got to learn so much about plants, the history of places, trees, and we shared so many other fun experiences and stories about each other We could've walked for 5 more hours with her it was that comfortable and fun. Thanks for all the love and warmth Anne. I highly recommend people to take a trip with Anne at least once when they are in Coonoor or Ooty, I bet it would be your best experience.

Anne took 3 generations of us on a fascinating walk around Ooty in April. She was able to keep the interest of an 11 year old boy, a mother and a grandmother. History, nature, anecdotes, reading recommendations. A lovely experience - thank you Anne.

This is an interesting walk for those who want to know the history of this place and feel its atmosphere. Anna is a wonderful and witty storyteller, a great connoisseur of these places. This walking tour is unique.
