This place has a beautiful Ganges View, one of the 5 Jantar Mantars made by Raja Mann Singh, a very good museum type on Varanasi arts, craft, heritage, and a lovely Light & Sound show on Ganga Avtaran.

Situated on the rooftop level of the 300 yrs old Man Mahala (palace) in Varanasi, Manmandir ghat. it is locally known as the Jantar Mantar observatory built-in 1737 by the Maharaja of Jaipur, Jai Singh. The facility was created to help improve the Indian calendar and map-making.
The entrance to the terrace is closed due to covid, but the view is breathtaking. A walk around the terrace will introduce you to the different measuring structures. These include the Samrat Yantra, Laghu Samrat Yantra, Dakshinobiti Yantra, Chakra Yantra, Digansa Yantra, Narivalaya Dakshin, and Uttar Gola. Even if the observatory was built centuries ago, it is said that it can still be used with great accuracy up to this day that can even match modern astronomical instruments.
Due to other popular attraction in Varanasi, most tourists do not visit this historical landmark, Unlike its Delhi and Jaipur counterpart

Jantar Mantar, Varanasi is located next to the Dashaswamedh Ghat, the main ghat of the city. The site is housed in the 400 year old Man Mandir Palace and the astronomical instruments are on the terrace roof. Before viewing the instruments, there are three rooms on the ground floor of the palace created by the Archaeological Survey of India - all have easy-to-read and highly informative interpretive panels on the history of the Ganga, Varanasi, and the astronomical instruments - lots of photos, diagrams, and maps. A video called descendant of ganga was playing in the main room.

Had some time to kill on our last day on varanasi so thought we'd drop in. We were very surprised with how good this museum was, with lots of things telling us about the history of varanasi. To be fair, the observatory itself was amazing, but only a small part of the whole experience. The sound and light show, in particular, was amazing despite being only in hindi. Would thoroughly recommend.

It is situated near Dashashmedh Ghat Varanasi. It is similar to other Jantar Mantars in various cities in India. View of Ganges from Jantar Mantar is great. It is ticketed site. A small museum is there. Information kiosk is available.

Jantar mantar is aplace where you can feel the architecture to be really classic and somewhat similar to other Jantar Mantars in various cities in India, but this is unique as it is beside the ghat and you can hear the sharp noise of Ganges flowing.

Was a place for astronomy, But for bengalies if you have seen joy baba felunath film, you can remember the last seen shooted here. It's nostalgic. A great view of ganges also

There is nothing much to see at this place except Holy River Ganga view from the Top, small museum was there and nothing much to see and seem that Maintenance hasn't been done from long time but the River Ganga view.
