this spot is improving but definitely the best times will come one day. It is ok to see or use a boat. Some restaurants there. But there are better spots in Jaffa

Jaffa is an ancient city on the Mediterranean coast, with a history of more than three thousand years. The embankment of ancient Jaffa is an interweaving of history, architecture of different periods. It is noteworthy that the modern city of Jaffa is united by a common municipality with the city of Tel Aviv.

We started our walk along the beach promenade to Old Jaffa from Neve Tzedek and this walk has become one of many highlights of our trip. The sea wasn’t calm, so many surfers had a great chance to enjoy the wind and the sun. The views of the sea with skyscrapers on one side and Old Jaffa’s fortress and the port on another were totally smashing. Tel Aviv has become such a glamorous seaside city over the past ten years...
We climbed the stone steps to Old Jaffa, enjoyed its atmospheric cobblestone streets with traces of Muslim heritage, the sweeping view of the sea from the top, and returned along the same promenade to Neve Tzedek for our late lunch.
There are plenty of cyclists on the promenade, so be mindful to walk on the pedestrian path.
We climbed the stone steps to Old Jaffa, enjoyed its atmospheric cobblestone streets with traces of Muslim heritage, the sweeping view of the sea from the top, and returned along the same promenade to Neve Tzedek for our late lunch.

Um tesouro de Jaffa: o porto tem milênios de história, sendo uma área com uma vista linda para o Mar Mediterrâneo, com a cidade de Tel Aviv ao fundo, cafés restaurantes e galerias. O pôr do Sol é lindo demais. Parada obrigatória em Jaffa.

Something you must do when visiting Israel! A lovely stroll along the water; see the fresh fish markets and explore the old city. A WORD OF CAUTION: I was stupid enough to set my purse down for 30 seconds to snap a photo and it was stolen. Amidst the throngs of visitors from all over the world, some very dishonest and horrible men lurk about watching eagle-eyed for any opportunity to steal. Whoever took my purse was gone in a flash. Some nearby tourist looked at her photos and we see him in one of her pics grabbing the purse from behind a wall where he was hiding. I can not say this place is dangerous, just use common sense and don't do a dumb thing like I did. (Thankfully I didn't lose phone or passport!)

The port of Jaffa has a venerable antiquity as is the whole city, dating the oldest remains (adobe ruins) to the 16th century BC.
But nothing today recalls that remote period: the layout of the port refers at the most to a medieval and early modern era, when the port was at the service of a prosperous city like Jaffa, and also of a much wider hinterland. At the foot of the historic city extends a large embankment, which did not exist in the past: as an old photo on display here and relating to the citrus trade shows, once you passed directly onto the boats from the stairs that descended from the old city.
Today the commercial fleet has disappeared, the boats present are those of the fishermen, those for pleasure and those that allow tourist navigation in the surroundings.
The embankment along the port houses pleasant places where you can eat and drink. You can walk on it, enjoying the lively character of the place, and the views towards the beaches and skyscrapers of Tel Aviv, to the north.
Overall, the old port is an essential complement to visiting Old Jaffa.

…which forms a nice start or end point to any walk along the beaches. There’s not loads to see here but the buildings are pretty amazing.

Yes, there are nice caffe and restaurant, also one of them with fresh from the sea fish 👍🏼
You go through display? Choose one you like and they will cook for you.
They have horse back riding there too.
Right in port, right next to the sea.
