This place does not disappoint! lovely views and a lovely walk. There is limited car park spots at the foot of the trail, luckily we managed to get one, but as we walked upwards, we did see a bunch of cars parked up the roads randomly. We attempted to find this place on 2 other occasions but the car navigator took us to some random carpark some 6km away, we managed to find the correct place in the 3rd attempt and were so glad we did.

I highly recommend the walk around the perimeter of this mountain. There are toilet facilities at the start and end of the circular trail. At the start of walk, I noticed the caves on the sides of the cliff. These caves were made by the Japanese for suicide attacks using small boats. There are seventeen caves along the coastal cliffs of Mt. Songaksan on the southern side of Jeju. They were constructed by the forced labour of Jeju residents.
As we walked up the path gradually, we could see Mt. Sanbangsan and Hyeongjeseom (Brother Islets) at a distance. The paths are well maintained and we also saw flat Gapado Island not too far away and Marado Island further away. The coastal view is spectacular. Soon we reached the path with more steps and lots of pine trees. This walk is simply gorgeous during Spring time. There are many restaurants and cafes near to the carpark. This walk is part of Olle Trail 10.

제주도 서쪽 송악산 둘레길을 걸었다. 화산이 만든 절벽을 따라 난 멋진 바닷가 절벽 둘레길은 정말 일품이었다. 바다도 멋지고 절벽도 멋지고 주변 산도 멋지다.

송악산은 일제의 만행도 볼 수 있는 곳입니다.
그냥 가는것 보다는 역사적의미를 생각해보면 보다 더 볼 것이 많은 곳입니다.
추천하는곳이며, 자연경관이 너무 예쁜곳입니다.

You get an amazing view when you go up the stairs. the view also changes a lot, from pine trees to sand beach, volcanic rock beach, and the view of Halla mountain (the highest mountain in South Korea). Everywhere was very clean and the path was clear and guide signs were easy to find. I also really enjoyed the ocean view. It's perfect if you go there on a clear day.

Songaksan Mountain is another highly impressive place that I have visited in Jeju. It is a volcanic mountain with several craters. It is said that there are 99 small volcanic peaks besides two major craters in which the largest one is 500 m wide and 80 m deep, and still covered with black volcanic soil.
The walking route follows the perimeter of a volcanic mountain which allows the hikers to observe amazingly gorgeous vertical cliffs around the mountain. The walking trails at the top of these cliffs along the perimeter of the crater is just spectacular. Since the mountain lies at the edge of the southwesternmost corner of the mainland the visitors can see a wide view of the open sea at both northwest and northeast sides. The view of the Gapado and Marado islands on the northwest side and Hyeongjeseom Island and Sanbangsan Mountain on the northeast side are amazing from the observation platform.

I visited this place because is part of the Route 10 of Jeju Olle Walking Festival. Walking here was the most refreshing feeling. Everywhere you look is beautiful and is hard to fight the temptation of taking pictures all the time. I wanted to enjoy the walk instead of taking pictures so I tried to don't use the phone that must. Still, couldn't help it. So I will share some pictures too. I hope you have the chance to visit this place. Even better if you can do the full Route 10. Is long but is worth it. I came here during corona times and it was super safe. Max of 15 people per group and mandatory mask (and they give you one for free btw)

Cannot explain fully how amazingly gorgeous was that place! Everything was perfect and I think I get to heal myself on the way because it's a narrow path so we were alone all the time. I enjoyed the sun, sea, mountains, nature, and myself! The combo that only Jeju Island can provide for you!

올레길 10번코스에 포함되어 있기에 한번돌아 일제가 가미가제 특공대 훈련지로 만든 알뜨르 비행장터로 갔었는데 절친부부가 찾아와 다시 이곳을 추천 해주다보니 다시 한번 송악산 절경을 돌게 되었다. 두번째는 여유를 가지고 절경과 일몰을 즐기며 걷게 되었다. 최근에는 마라도 가는 탐방선을 이곳에서 타다보니 여러번 오게된다.
