We were staying close to Bentota and I was referred to Thush through a mutual friend. I spent two entire days with him showing me the National Parks and diamond mines. Besides him being extremly friendly and answering all of my questions, the tours he planned were extremly well organised and I can recommend him as a Tour Guide to anyone, who is staying in Srilanka. When I am back there, I will definitely get in touch with him again.

Der Fischmarkt in Beruwala ist ein ideales Ausflugsziel während den kühlen Morgenstunden. Die bunten Boote, der vielseitige Fang und das geschäftliche Treiben sind ein spannendes Erebnis.
Anschliessend lohnt sich ein Spaziergang auf der nahegelegenen Hafenmaur.

Thushara organised a wonderful and exciting round trip for our group of 4 people. The trip started in Bentota and included visits to the following places.
Day 1:
Dambulla cave temple and the Sigiriya rock fortress (both are UNESCO World Heritage Sites).
Day 2:
Kandy and the Temple of the Tooth.
Day 3 and 4:
2 night stop in Nuwara Eliya with a pleasant hike to World's End, located within the Horton Plains National Park.
Day 5:
Beautiful train ride through the mountains to Ella with the famous Nine Arches Bridge.
Day 6:
Udawalawe National Park with its herds of Elephants.
With his knowledge and experience, Thushara guided us safe and with interesting explanations to these fascinating places. An excellent way to explore Sri Lanka!

Direkt bei der Ankunft sehr freundlicher Empfang, es war unser erster Urlaub in Sri lanka und wir wurden Positiv überrascht. Wir wurden während unserem ganzen Aufenthalt sehr wohlwollend behandelt.

From the 7th to the 13th we travelled with Thush as our very good driver in his car from Bentota to Sigiriya - Kandy - Nuwara Eliya - Ella - Udawalawa National Park - Bentota. We visited all the very interesting sites and temples and undertook various hikes, including a 3.5 hour hike on the Horton plains near Nuwara Eliya.
Thush is a very competent and friendly travel guide, who organised this round trip for us. His information about the places we visited was very valuable.
As a highlight we were invited to have supper with his family and this gave as an excellent insight into the living conditions and very tasty home made food in Sri Lanka.
We can recommend Thush Travel and Thush as an excellent travel guide.

Нам с мужем посоветовали Туша ребята с отеля и мы об этом ни капли не пожалели! Связались с ним через почту и получили очень быстрый ответ, договорились о дате нашего тура. Очень комфортная поездка с кондиционером, что не мало важно при местном климате, особенно когда долгая дорога и очень приемлемая цена - 200$ ( в них входит сама поездка туда и обратно, входные билеты, поездка по парку и вода ). Туш покупал нам воду, так как в парке очень жарко. Ехать до парка около 3 часов, прибыли мы на место чуть раньше 9 и как раз успели посмотреть на кормление слоников в приюте, которые остались без родителей. Там же есть информационный центр где предоставляется информация о слонах и Туш нам рассказал о них. После сели на джип и поехали в сам национальный парк, где увидели множество слонов в дикой природе, что невероятно захватывает, буйволов, крокодилов, варанов, лис, обезьян и многочисленные разновидности птиц. Поездка по парку заняла около 3 часов. Мы насладились видами Удавалавы и всеми живущими в нем. На обратном пути он завёз нас в кафе где можно было пообедать. Нам все очень понравилось ! Туш очень хорошо владеет английским языком и с ним было легко общаться, он рассказывал о животных и вообще о всем что мы видели пока ехали до парка и обратно! Завтра у нас с Тушем ещё один тур в Галле. Советую вам не сомневаться и смело обращаться в Thush Tours Sri Lanka!

Having already done a trip with Thush we knew what to expect and he didnt disappoint - reliable and helpful at all times.
We booked with Thush to go do a jeep safari at Udawalawe. He had it all organised all we had to do was get in his car whilst he drove at 5am.
Upon getting to Udawalawe car park we spent some time at the Orphanage (included in thushs price of $200 for 2 from bentota area) we arrived just in time for feeding and what a site it was! Interesting yet hilariously funny at the same time. There is also a small information centre which gives a brief history.
After we proceeded onto the jeep safari which we had to ourselves as supplied by Thush. It was only supposed to be for 2 hrs but we ended up spending over 3! We saw plenty of animals from birds, monkeys and buffalo and of course lots of elephants. Fortunate enough at the end to see a heard of around 10 including a calf. We sat and watched in amazement! Id highly recommend booking this with Thush.
Of course it is warm in the park so be prepared!
On our final day we really wanted to do Paramotoring at Bentota, Thush again took us there from hotel and discussed price with the company, unfortunately its fixed at $50per(9000lkr) person for 12minutes, expensive but the views and adrenaline rush are most definitely worth it and what a way to round off holiday!
(Side note - when paying in $ they only accept $50 as smallest at most places as they cant exchange)
Thush as a guide was good, kind and considerate and to be honest I wouldnt waste your time looking anywhere else. Book Tush Tours Sri Lanka! You won't regret it.

Having started planning activites before our arrival in Sri Lanka, i came across Thush and his good reviews on trip advisor.
I emailed him thusharahettigoda@yahoo.com
to get quotes for 2people for Galle (70usd) and Kandy (200USD) and Udawalle (200USD) all day trips from bentota area.
He was good at replying at his earliest opportunity.
Tour1) Galle
We arranged to meet Thush at Pandanus Beach hotel on the Sunday to go Galle at 8am, he was waiting promptly outside in his hybrid Honda vehicle - clean and spacious. (Fully aircondidtioned but not enough for a Scottish couple not yet acclimatised to Sri Lanka!)
2hr drive to Galle,on way we stopped off at Turtle Sanctuary which was amazing! Seeing the development from newly born to turtles that have been hurt at sea. Also getting to hold!
From there we drove to the Moonstone mine which was interesting to see and beautiful stones- albeit the inevitable pull to purchase! After that we drove past tsunami village enroute to galle where Thush kindly let us try Coconut water!
At Galle we were shown around the fort where Thush explained the history and then allowed to walk ourselves and take in the views. After wemeet up again with Thush for lunch - tourist prices at main restaurants! We paid 2500lkr for 2 club sandwiches. After lunch we continued round to lighthouse and Galle city. Thush had also arranged river safari which for me was the highlight of the day. Visiting a friend and local family of thush we were on water for nearly 2hrs! We saw many different species including eagles and crocodiles topped off with a beautiful sunset!
Tour2) Kandy
We met Thush at hotel reception at a early 5am! It was a long 4hr drive to Kandy with some crazy driving from locals - but with Thush his driving was brilliant and making us feel safe. We brought breakfast from hotel and slept in car.
Kandy - Extremely busy and hectic city! We visited Temple of Tooth where Thush tried to explain everything and we seen the relic (just) as it was VERY crowded. From this point of view it felt slightly rushed. I was expecting more similar to Thailand with more temples.
After we visited Gem Museum, similar to moonstone mine we had an interesting documentary to watch and a tour around the workshop with some beautiful jewelry, unfortunately slightly pushy to try make purchase. But interesting enough.
After we took lunch just upstairs in local restaurant- curry, pasta, drinks and icecream for a reasonable 2500lkr (£13)
From there we went to Botanic Gardens which was stunning, Thush paid entrance fee and allowed us to walk freely. Approx 45mins seeing Bats, lizards and lots of MONKEYS!
Finally we visited tea plantation which was very interesting and we got tea and cake after! Then long drive back to bentota.
Overall a good 2 tours with Thush who was very pleasant to be around, next we go to Udawale Safari and Paramotoring and will update!

Now we’ve finished the Sri Lankan leg of our Tour, here’s the review, following on from @HGHutchinson for the final few days with Thush Tours Sri Lanka...
On Tuesday we had planned to do the Village Tour, including the River Safari, between 2pm-6pm. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t good enough to do the boat tour, but Thush still took us to the local market and, as I said I wanted to buy some souvenirs, he recommended a local Mask museum where they sell carved wooden ornaments and all sorts of trinkets and we were able to get everything we were looking for.
After this, Thush took us to the Royal Buddhist Temple, a beautiful and tranquil place of which he was very proud of - many of the trees had actually been planted by Thush himself! We were honored to then be invited for tea and Sri Lankan desserts at Thush’s home, where we also met his wonderful family.
On Wednesday we were picked up at 5am and driven to Mirissa to go Whale Watching. The boat departed at 7am and shortly after we were given sandwiches and drinks - this was all included in the price quoted by Thush. The crew explained that it can sometimes take a few hours before they find the whales, but there are multiple whale watching boats that call eachother when some have been located, so we felt optimistic. Although we didn’t see any Blue Whales, we did see a Manta Ray, plenty of flying fish and rare Short Finned Pilot Whales. The boat trip was longer than we expected, however, Thush still wanted to make sure we got to do everything we planned. The next stop was the Sea Turtle Conservation Project (Koggala) - this is definitely worth a visit - the staff were very knowledgeable and it was great to see the amazing things they were doing to save injured Turtles - some were even waiting for prosthetic limbs! Thush then drove us to Galle to see the old Dutch Fort - this really was a beautiful place, we didn’t stay for long as we wanted to get back to Bentota for the River Safari but you could easily spend a full day here, taking tours of the area and looking in all the shops.
We took the River Safari at 4pm and we were on the river for at least an hour and a half (we could have stayed out longer but we had other arrangements). Although we didn’t see any Crocodiles, the scenery was amazing and we saw many species of bird, including Sea Eagles, Fruit Bats, Monkeys and Water Monitors. Thush then arranged a ride on one of Sri Lanka’s old cart systems (a cow and carriage!) through the village which was a nice way to end the day as many of the villagers came out their houses to wave as we rode past. Thush then drove us back to our hotel for the final time and even parked up his car and waited so he could wave us off as we went on our hotel boat across the river. We’d had such an amazing week in Sri Lanka and a large part of it was because of the 4 days we’d spent with Thush. We hope to return to Sri Lanka in the future and, if so, we will be sure to use Thush Tours again.

I would suggest contacting Thush Tours. Thushara is an awesome tour guide and he will tailor tour guide that will suit your needs. He is also very knowledgeable when it comes to booking hotels (He booked us a hotel in Kandy for a better price then I could find on any of the booking sites).

I am currently staying at Centara and have been very pleased with everything here. I did tours with Thush who I found on Trip Advisor and highly recommend him.
We’ve done a Village tour (Spice farm, Turtle Hatchery, temple and river cruise to see crocodiles) and Ulladwatta National Park Safari. Both I would also highly recommend. I paid using US dollars so please contact Thush for prices. He is fully licensed and has excellent English.

Hi, myself and my husband and 20month baby will be visiting Sri lanka on 18th Jan and staying at Centara in Benoto. Can you advise what kind of tours would be ideal with a baby? I want to see elephants for sure :)

you can visit the elephant orphanage but you should bring an appropriate cloths for your child. I think in that month its not really hot. you can also proceed to Kandy and watch the cultural show

We're reaching in BENTOTA on 9th Sep and putting up in Taj Bentota. We would want to do a day trip. Please advise below:
1. What would be best suited with less travel as I've a kid and an infant along
2. What would be the price and time to and fro
3. We are interested in Elephant Orphanage, Wild Life, Fishing trip
Please advise what can we do and approximate time line
