My partner and I did the farm tour/cooking class with Khieu/Q and it was a highlight of our time in Hoi An. We biked to the market, had a brief row on the river in a coconut boat, toured the farm, then had a cooking class where we learned to make several Hoi An specialties. We love gardening and cooking so it was very cool tasting herbs from the farm and learning about their organic practices. The food came out great and was a lot of fun to prepare. The best part of the tour was definitely Q; she was a charismatic and knowledgeable guide who has grown up in Hoi An. We had lots of time to relax and talk with her and the other people on our tour and we learned a ton from her about modern life in Vietnam.

Beautiful surroundings and really nice family. The food was absolutely perfect and tasted really good and fresh. We were very satisfied. :)

A wonderful morning, starting with a coconut boat ride which developed into a cooking class all set within the beautiful surroundings of the organic farm would definitely recommend coming here 😀

We visited this as part of a bike tour around the shrimp farms and rice fields, a trip around the local market and finally a quick go down the river in a baker boat. This was all super informative and fascinating as well as very picturesque and relaxing.
We then went on to the eco farm which is one of the first in the area to avoid any form of chemicals or pesticides in their very beautiful organic farm. We were shown around by Hamy who was translating for one of the farmers, both lovely people. The farm is a lovely experience where we also picked a few of our ingredients for the cooking class.
The cooking class was led by the wife of the farmer and her son, they were brilliant at explaining the ingredients and as it was only a small group (which they aim to maintain) it was very personal and unrushed. We prepared, marinated and cooked several dishes and then went to eat in a lovely setting between the farm allotments where we enjoyed the food we had prepared and the conversation with the locals and our other tour guests.
Such a fabulous and memorable place and I highly recommend visiting.

This was one of our best experiences in Vietnam. We started the day with a visit to the local markets where our guide showed us many various locally grown items. After that we headed to the river for a lovely basket boat ride up the river (unfortunately as with everywhere else in Vietnam this river was significantly polluted). We then went to visit the organic farm where we inspected the gardens and got some info on organic farming in Vietnam and how dedicated the organic farmers must be to meet the stringent guidelines in such a polluted environment. We were treated to a foot soak made using produce from the gardens. Then we finally got down to cooking a great meal under the supervision of a lovely patient lady. Overall this was a great experience that surpassed other cooking classes that I have done elsewhere. Highly recommend.

This was the highlight of my Hoi An Trip. Beautiful people running the class. Accommodating to vegetarians! Got to pick vegetables from the farm. Food was probably the best food we ate the whole trip. Got to take away the recipes and can’t wait until we get home to try it out for our family and friends :)! Highly recommend.

Definitely one of our highlights of our trip to Hoi An! We had a private tour of a local market, were taken to a large organic farm where many crops had been planted. There we learned how to make our own organic pesticide, compost, and planted crops with the farmer. We had selected our own 4 course menu as we are Vegan and they were happy to accommodate. Learned how to cook all of our favorite dishes and got the recipes given to us at the end! We have cooked them at home now and they taste exactly the same bringing back very fond memories. Highly recommended!

I had a really great time at the Thanh Dong cooking class. I loved getting to learn about the organic farming methods used here in HoiAn, and even getting to get in there and get my hands dirty. Exploring the beautiful garden, and then heading across the small road to the cooking class really set the stage for a lovely experience.
The cooking class itself of course served up some some tasty food and some great learning. Can't wait to try making banh xeo on my own. So good. And the fish in banana leaf, yummy!!
There are so many cooking classes to choose from in HoiAn, but getting to participate in this one was wonderful. I loved getting out to the organic farm and meeting some of the farmers that do this laborious work. For me, this was the ideal way to do a cooking class!
