We arrived at the precise meeting location a few minutes early. We were scheduled to meet at 5 PM. The address was given as the address of a restaurant. No tour operator showed up. The restaurant owner called the number for the tour operator for me and when I spoke to the tour operator he said we could meet at 6 because 5 was too early. I already paid for the tour for 5 PM! I didn’t want to meet at 6 and he didn’t understand me. Our tour was booked for 5. We just left and I submitted a claim online for a refund. I haven’t heard back yet.

So I booked this ‘ tour’ yesterday by a man. We also had contact by WhatsApp were he promised my the tour.
The tour I booked was:
2 dives! Each dive would takes around 45 minutes. Now I only did 1 dive ! You even can’t call it a dive. It was only 10 minutes and the staff was just pushing you under water ! Also they put my hand in the coral, that is not ok!!! I paid 2.000.000 for this !!!! And this was only from 9:00- 2.00 .,and just to let you know , we did nothing !!!!! I also couldn’t join the lunch , if I would I had to pay 200.000 more. Crazy!! Other people at my boat ‘ only’ paid 600.000. What is actually also to much!!! And they had the lunch included ! I am so angry. At least I want to get my money back. Thanks for this horrible day!
Side note - I should do this dive by blue coral diving. That is what he told me and I booked.

We booker at hoian small boat on viator by Phu Loc Travel, good trip on river.He and his family were very friendly. And I highly recommend using them.

we have booked this tour because we wanted the boat trip back and paid on line few days before and we got ticket and the receipt that saying we paid.
The pick up was 45 minutes late and then the guide told us that the company has not got the money through online so we have to pay him cash again if we want to go even after we showed him the proof of the ticket.
We had no choice but to pay him cash and he told us that the company will come and give us the receipt that we paid in cash so we can get reimbursed from the viator comapny who charged us on line, but they never did.
when we came home, we contacted the viator to get money back, but viator said that they will not reimburse us because the guide are not allow to take cash and he did not.
Luckily we had the proof on video that we are handing the cash to the guide, so viator finally agree to give us the money back, but we had to make effort to write to them few times.
The tour was not so good since the guide's English was not good at all and after everyone wanted to move on,he still insisted to stay under the strong sun to look around.
If I knew it will be this bad, I would have paid more and went with taxi or the private car and not have the guide.

Great way to float along the river and see hoian from a different view. Pretty lanterns as well. The dude worked hard for his money, no electric motor all manual rowing.

We booked through Klook and ended up with this terrible tour company. The boat had 23+ people on it, with not enough room for everyone to sit, told the tour guide that this was very dangerous and that we were not happy at all. First stop main island was a total waste of time, not much to see here at all. Then onto next island climbing in and out of the boat from the bow, no ladder provided, so is very difficult if you are not young and fit, driver does not help at all. Told we could have 15 minute swim, then back on boat to a cove where you are given ancient snorkeling gear, no flippers and to climb down the dangerous sharp ladder to water, even harder to get back in the boat. Back to smaller island for a lunch that I would not rave about and then told to sit on beach and have a sleep for 1 and 3/4 hours......
on return trip there was not enough room for everyone to sit under cover so my husband and I volunteered to sit in open in the bow, best part of our day.
Would not recommend this tour company. Very dangerous, money grabbing, definitely not worth it.
