I took a tour to enjoy fireflies from the ship, which is about an hour drive from Johor city. To be honest, I didn't expect that much, but I was surprised. I was moved by the experience beyond my wildest dreams and the wonderful hospitality of the staff. The countless fireflies perched on the trees was like a Christmas tree, and I couldn’t believe that this was a creation of nature 🎄 I am grateful to have seen this for myself.
After the tour, you can enjoy raising the lantern for 20RM. We bought one to wish our daughter a lovely future and gave it to her after the tour. The staff took photos and videos very carefully and were impressed 🥺 I also recommend this one 💁♀️
The tour starts at 7.30pm, so we arrived about an hour in advance. We ate at a nearby BBQ restaurant and finished reception shortly before 7 o'clock. You will be guided to the boat in the order of reception, but don't worry as you can sit in a seat where you can see the fireflies firmly even after your turn 🙋♂️
We drove Grab both way and back, but as the ride home was past 8.30pm, we were worried about Grab getting caught in the suburbs, but managed to find a driver. If you are worried about Grab travel, you might want to ask for a charter car to go 🚗

there were so many fireflies. They were very pretty to look at, like christmas trees.
The guide was excellent, very friendly. Taught us many things n answered all our questions. They even showed us monitor lizards sleeping on trees. Would definitely recommend if u r in the area

A boat ride and a tour to observe fireflies along the river. Fireflies aren't flying everywhere like in the movies, but you can still see a beautiful scene.
There is also a restaurant nearby, so dinner is easy.
However, I rented a car so it was easy to access, but I don't know if it is accessible because it is far from JB.

So fun and something totally different from what you can find in Desaru, which is filled with animal farms. A good river cruise experience for kids.

This boat trip would be a good after dinner activity, especially if you have kids. It is inexpensive and could be quite entertaining, if you have not seen so many fireflies.
One possible challenge is to reach the Firefly Park as it is not within walking distance from the city. Taking a taxi would be the most convenient if you do not drive. We booked our ticket online and we reached the park a lot earlier than expected. There are many mosquitoes, so bring your mosquito patches and sprays. About 5 minutes before your scheduled time, you will take a life jacket and board the boat. Each boat could seat about 20-30 pax.
The boat need not travel long distance to see the fireflies. There are some trees which are just beside the river and they are full of fireflies. The whole boat trip is about 45mins. You can buy some fireworks at the park. Not the type where you can shoot up into the sky and it bursts, but some are quite good. We bought 2 types and took turns lighting them up.

This is a good place to see fireflies. The overall duration is just nice around 45 min.
We waited for the rain to stop before we joined the 9.30pm slot. Luckily, we get to see them which appeared like in the tree, twinkling brightly. The boat guide will let both sides of the passengers have close-up look at the fire flies. Some even flew to your hand. My mum who was near 80 enjoyed the trip tremendously. The fireflies park is very suitable for children and adults. I highly recommend this trip.

This is something that I was really looking for, for the 7 kids that were on this trip with us. Out of gadget, relaxing, mesmerizing and an unforgettable learning journey. We chose the 7:30PM trip as advised. Be early as you get on the boat following a first come first serve numbering system. Although the admin was single handedly mend by just 1 person, we managed to all get on the boat on time. The kids (plus the mothers) were amazed by twinkling fireflies. The breeze was so fresh and we managed to see thousands of fireflies within our 45mins journey. We ended the trip with wishing lanterns. WonderFUN wrap! PS: Just an advice to give the boat a fresh coat of paint as it is looking very tired. :)

FANTASTIC
BEST PLACE TO SEE FIREFLIES.
Most importantly, the operators are very very helpful. We booked for the 730pm boat but as we were running late, they allowed us to go onto the 830pm boat.
And while we were walking to the jetty, I dropped my Handphone into the swampy waters and I thought that it’s would be gone.
The operator told me to proceed with my boat trip while they will try to retrieve it.
I had very little hopes as the water was pretty deep.
When we returned , they actually miraculously managed to get my phone up but attaching 2 long bamboos and a net.
I was sooo grateful and wanted to offer a tip. They refused and just said it’s their job to make all customers leave with a positive experience. Soo heartwarming to know there are such tour operators around. Thank you very much. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It was OK but I thought the fireflies will fly around you, a bit disappointed that it just sat on the tree. I guess the cartoon scenes raised my expectations too much. The fireflies did light up like a Christmas tree which is amazing!

Not sure of restaurants nearby but the place isnt very far from Johor Bahru or Kota Tingii town so plenty of eating options

I whatsapped a lady named Michelle at 60-17-4607775. I had a couple of other questions to ask, and just made reservations at the same time, b’coz I read somewhere (think it was the FB pg) that you could do that. But maybe not necessary, we still bought and paid for our tickets upon arrival. Maybe they just want to know roughly how many people to expect on their boats. Enjoy ur trip!

Hello all...! I’m thinking of driving my kids to visit the KT firefly park. Never been there and unsure if the road leading in is a proper paved road or track? Is it safe? Is it far from the main road? Bit concerned in case we get a flat tyre or something.... Appreciate any information, thank you!
