Batik I chose and batik I unpacked were not the same in pattern or quality. I chose table cloths with borders, but when I unpacked the borders were only on one side not all around the item like the one displayed. Many of the batik napkins were messy with irregular mistakes. When we picked out items they are then taken out back to package. I think the shop workers then chose lesser quality batiks to bring back to us. We spent lots of money and bought 3 bags full of items. The only items that were true to what I chose were the shirts.

The workers are not welcoming, and the place seems kinda dull anyway since the workers are behaving that way

We visited the workshop and the kids could choose a batik picture to paint which was then put on a t shirt. The kids loved this activity. Lots of batik clothing and gifts to buy at reasonable prices. We were here for an hour which was enough. You have to return the next day to collect the t shirts.

Went there last weekend. 2nd day stay at kuantan i stop by here to do painting. And luckily available, rm 10 for each handkerchief, got 2 sizes - small and large. Plus rm 5 to remove the wax and if you want to use it as handkerchief. And you need to leave it a day for them to remove the wax.
You can also paint the cloths and bag with different prices of course.

This place is a bit disorganised, but it has a wide range of batik material and clothes, in different styles and qualities.We found a couple of sarongs we were happy to buy.

Take your time to browse.
The kids did their batik painting.
Just walk-in no fuss and reasonable prices.
The staff were on hand but were busy with bulk orders.
Yes if you need the finished piece minus wax it is a day's wait.
Loving the curio shop.
Full of familiar deco stuff.
Especially from Indonesia aka Bali.
However many pieces not in mint condition.
Would not hesitate to purchase if priced right.
The batik factory is indeed classic.
You don't come across such a vast set-up nowadays.
The craftsman was working on an intricate piece.
Lots of suitable souvenirs available.

i already call them that i got interested to come and ask for all detail. but when i actually come there . i cant do the batik canting just because they said i need to book and come again next day.the lovebird at the restaurant is cute tough.

We were looking forward to a great hands on experience at batik painting but the staff was not very helpful and friendly at first. We only understood what we had to do after checking with her a few times. We also had to share pallets even though there wasn't anyone else doing the painting. Despite all these, it was a good experience. Towards the end, the staff was more cheerful and friendlier. I hope the management will look into improving their service to make batik painting a more pleasant experience for everyone.

Authentic. Interesting. Educational. Shoppers’ paradise for batik. They have a variety of batik products to sell. Interesting to watch batik stamping. Amazing to see how batik is made in a big scale. I loved watching a place that caters for study tours. Great for kids to have hands-on experience with batik painting. Great village.

Every time I go to Kuantan, I will surely make my stop at this place. Under one roof you can get a range of stuff from fridge magnets, table cloth, scarves, tshirts, shorts, sarongs and batik silk wear for ladies and gents. Some are unique and requires time to do the selection. This was where I got my batik saree done - one piece only. Check it out. Look out for Ms Lai, she will be of help.
