Always valued Kolomensky as a large park not so far from home, rather than as a historical and architectural monument, although of course this importance of Kolomensky is very great. However, I like to just walk around here.
This year, unfortunately, Kolomensky has a lot of reconstruction work, you can't walk along the promenade, some churches and palaces were also in the forests.

If you're from near Moscow, you're likely to be disappointed at least this year for sure and going there doesn't make sense at all
The tent temple built many years ago is completely closed, will not come out to take even a beautiful photo, everything is covered with film and scaffolding, no brick or pebble can be seen
Waterfront closed Improvements under way
Peter's House 1 closed
Churches and temples, although built many years ago, but there is nothing special about them, ordinary working churches with many parishioners, they hold services without any special decoration inside, everything is very modest, some do not even have wall paintings, the ordinary temple of which is very many in any cities, although historical value, but not at all interesting and the eye is not attracted from the point of view of the tourist it is a wasted time
Museums... cute restored (mock-up new-model) palace of the Tsar, yes beautiful, but inside nothing valuable and interesting of antiquities, the expositions are very modest and the cost of a ticket for admission does not justify (600 rubles per person), at all, there is just not interesting at all, the guide will of course tell a lot, but it is so to say history and all this can just be read in books, anything you see will not immerse you in what the guides hang about, it is necessary to have a very good imagination and it is unlikely to help
Restaurants and cafés were certainly attached to the palace, which distorted its appeal, well not to eat, but to see and plunge into the historical atmosphere of the past, alas it will not come out, boredom is out of the light, the tour guide tries very hard, but alas what you see does not fit with what you hear
The park and apple orchards are well maintained, and according to the inscriptions, apples remember tsars and empresses, but nothing interesting, a lot of people who have had a picnic, who sunbathe as a family, play badminton, play ball, someone with dogs plays, who collects apples in huge packets, driving from Moscow for a walk in the orchards makes no sense at all
Children there and boredom at all, the territory is huge, the terrain is hilly, the paths go up and down, children are unlikely to want to walk so much, entertainment for children is free, and for a fee, not worth such money
Although this place is considered a witness to history, tsars, to go there for the sake of seeing objects that will immerse you in the historical atmosphere I do not advise, there is nothing left there, just a zone where tourists are drawn out of their finances, and for Muscovites it is almost a cottage, come by subway with food packages and lie all day on the grass with pizza snacks and burgers, there is allowed to sit, lie and do on the lawns of the park which will allow you to be raised, but everything is clean, no one litters
From Moscow region I do not recommend to go here, rather go there to Moscow region to the nearest river or forest, believe it will be more interesting and do not have to ride in noisy subway or stand in Moscow traffic jams on the road, same nature, same animal, but no crowds of people and intrusive (the signs attract to visit) not interesting museums at all
On the territory there are food outlets, ice cream in cups usual 200 rubles, water 200 rubles, doughnuts 6 pcs 400-600 rubles, toilets free(they are clean) for a large family it is expensive as a snack
Apothecary town... well, it's dull at all, in the gardens of cottages much more interesting
Museums in general are rambling, the exhibitions are very modest, they are few, in museums some exhibits are not signed because they have no particular value, cupboards, chests, chests of drawers, buffets and carved with angels, which are still possible to find in old houses to this day, just old things a little cleaned up and everything, no historical personality they touched, like old grips, jugs, chests in the village at Grandma's, not interesting, especially children, surprised also that arriving there nesk years ago (for work I was in the area and stopped by the palace while waiting to meet) there in the exhibition was a bed of the Tsar not the same as it is now presented, it is strange, in general a complete deception everywhere, found antique furniture well put in the museum for the setting and okay, it is very doubtful that these things even touched the place where they now stand, just a warehouse of old things of some and all range of fingers can be listed
I think the trip was a waste of time, many walked, but nothing impressed the eyes, the Internet writes much more interesting about this place, so let's go, but we were expecting total disappointment
I advise if you want to walk in a beautiful park then it is better to go to Arkhangelskoe, the park is decorated with ancient, increasingly interesting sculptures, you can take a photo beautiful, but there is nothing to do with the children there either
Kolomenskoye will be suitable for recreation of Muscovites and tourists from cities far from Moscow (although they will see nothing particularly interesting, well at least from the tour guide will listen to our story)
I do not recommend this place to visit
It's just an oasis in the middle of a huge metropolis, Muscovites will definitely like it, the air is cleaner than in the city, the bike lanes, a nice walk
It's not worth going there from Moscow

How many times have I come for a walk to Kolomenskoye... and I can't count! In terms of entertainment, it's very interesting! All kinds of festivals, fairs, exhibitions, championships, etc. Manicured, drowned in greenery and flowers, the grounds... a river running alongside... lakes in the grounds... a stunning museum of wooden architecture... a huge food area... Nothing to list! Everyone, I think, will find something for themselves here.
I always walked on my own, and the last time I came with an audio guide. Who cares!... It was like I saw Kolomenskoye for the first time! A unique park!

In May 2024, we accidentally chose the Kolomenskoye Hotel and were pleasantly shocked by the beauty of the territory and pleasant service. All liked it! Thank you sincerely! But the next morning we decided to visit the museum Exposition "Palace of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich" (male and female) and the "Portrait Gallery of the House of Romanov". We have many children and I ordered tickets for free. At the entrance, the museum employee demanded all the documents confirming the benefit and looked for them very carefully. My documents were left in the car, because... timed visit, I just bought paid tickets for everyone, just in case, and we passed. The museum employees unpleasantly surprised me with their attitude towards visitors; in not a single room did they try to tell us anything about their exhibits or draw our attention. They asked if we could go to the observation deck, to which the employee replied - do you have tickets??? In 2 places they carefully check tickets and the main task of the employees is not education, but so that “the enemy does not pass”))). There is no interest in attracting tourists and the desire to talk about an amazing place. It’s like going to a Soviet store where you can’t touch anything. The first time such an attitude(((

visited the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve and was very pleased. The reserve's territory is large; you can spend the whole day here enjoying the beauty of nature, architectural monuments and the history of this place.
On the territory of the reserve there are many cafes and restaurants where you can have a snack and relax after a long walk. There are also souvenir shops where you can buy souvenirs and handicrafts to remember your trip.
One of the main advantages of the museum-reserve is its accessibility: entrance to the territory is free, and the cost of excursions is quite reasonable. I recommend visiting “Kolomenskoye” to everyone who is interested in the history and culture of Russia, as well as to lovers of nature and outdoor activities.

I criss-crossed that park with my wife in early September. We spent the whole day there.
Yes, it's sort of far from the centre, but the place is easily accessible by subway (really one of the best in the world!) and somewhat less so by car, due to intensive traffic (which is much friendlier on weekends, by the way).
Do choose nice weather, whatever season it is; it's the key to a pleasant stay. We did, and we enjoyed every minute of it!
Kolomenskaya metro station has just been reopened after a thorough overhaul (Kashirskaya too); the highway bordering it on the west is covered with brand-new asphalt; lawns are reformatted; all underground crossings are rebranded. So, the multi-annual renovation had been at last completed, literally just days before.
The park is charming and very well maintained. Key attractions have already been mentioned here, so I'd just add that it's quite often that various zany festivals, festivities, open-air games, etc. are organised there on weekends. Thus, do check in advance on their site (it has an English and even a Chinese page), please.
Parking alternatives are huge, and there shouldn't be any problem leaving one's car there, sometimes even for free.
Due to its enormous size, one may feel that toilet and café/restaurant facilities are scarce in some areas. Do bear in mind. I'd also recommend taking a walk through its distant, wilder part, which is closer to the Moskva River. Privacy will be superb!
Strongly recommended. Just take an umbrella with you and wear comfy shoes.

Incredibly beautiful architecture! You just can't take your eyes off it. This is not the first time I have come, this time I took my children with me. They are also absolutely delighted.

We have been to Kolomna Park many times, there are a lot of interesting and picturesque places in it, and the park is definitely worth a visit.
But lately it’s simply impossible to walk along the embankment! On the opposite bank they opened a go-kart, and there is CONSTANT noise, roar, and squealing brakes. Both in the morning and in the evening, I wasn’t even too lazy to look at their schedule on the website - from 10 to 23 o’clock. It’s as if you’re walking along a highway, and not in a park, your ears curl into a tube, just like the impression of the walk.

Very beautiful place and building. It's nice to see, to be in that atmosphere. And in general, take a walk around the reserve. There are a lot of people, but it doesn’t cause any discomfort.

д.) платный?
Skrevet 26. februar 2019
Skrevet 6. mai 2018
Skrevet 7. mai 2018
Skrevet 22. august 2017
