Nothing special for elderly but for kids and young couples, this place is good for taking selvies, pictures and simple visit to learn how they make their famous chocolate cookies. There is a simple activity as well for your kids to learn to decorate their own cookies. It will be around JPY 1,200 per 30 mins (inside the chocolate factory building). To enter the chocolate building (they have mini museum inside as well) you have to pay tickets that cost around JPY 800 for adult and JPY 400 for kids.
They also have a special chocolate store for you to buy gifts for your loved ones.
Some neat cafes are also there but quite crowded because this place is also a tourist destination.
Other than that, nothing so special about it.

The paid area is not worth going to. If you want to make a cake or make an original can, it might be worth paying the entrance fee. If you just want to buy souvenirs, the free area is enough. This is my personal opinion.

We traveled all the way from Shin Sapporo with our kids to visit the chocolate factory. The entry price was reasonable, and we found the crowd to be manageable, which made for a pleasant experience. We highly recommend taking the bakery class, which was more of a pastry decorating class, but still enjoyable for both kids and adults alike.

While the factory tour showcasing the chocolate manufacturing process was interesting, it didn't stand out compared to other attractions. However, we were enchanted by the outdoor garden, especially with the snow adding to its beauty.

One downside was that the chocolate prices at the factory were the same as those outside, so we didn't feel the need to purchase any. Overall, it was a lovely way to spend the morning with our kids, and we left with fond memories.

Since it was my first visit, I went to both the free and paid areas. The cute, fairy-tale-like exterior and interior have many photogenic spots. When you pay the admission fee, you get a Shiroi Koibito for each person. That's nice. It was delicious. There's a lot to see, including the history of Shiroi Koibito and a corner about Sapporo's soccer team. You can also buy souvenirs. I was very satisfied.

Great place to visit any season of the year. The time we went there , just encountered so many visitors, but it was festive. History suggests that the founder should be making chocolate but decided to focus on pastries or cookies instead . An exhibit on how it was done was rather superficially demonstrated. But I suggest buying their specialties at the store or having soft ice cream or coffee at their coffee shop.

I've been to the paid area before, but this time I didn't have time, so I just enjoyed the free area. There's plenty to enjoy just the free area. The chocolate carnival that takes place at the clock tower every hour for about 10 minutes is especially worth seeing. Soap bubbles were flying under the clock tower. The shop in Tudor House sells Shiroi Koibito and other sweets in a spacious store. I wanted to buy a lot of things, but I'm going to Sapporo Dome later to buy the limited edition Shiroi Koibito to commemorate Shinji Ono's retirement, so I just looked around. Next time I have time, I'd like to go to the paid area as well.

Lots of photo taking opportunities. Outdoor is beautiful with snow. Visited view deck for the small production plant. There is restaurant and gift shop there as well

It's been two years since my last visit. I've been there more than ten times, and now I'm an honorary member so admission is free. I visited on August 31st, and unlike when I visited two years ago, there were a lot of tourists, and it seemed like the park had almost returned to pre-COVID levels. Inside the Chocotopia Factory, a gold Shiroi Koibito tin worth about 30 million yen was on display for a limited time. I took a break in the Chocolate Lounge, did some shopping at the shop, and then left the park. I stayed there for about two hours.

I’m a massive fan of the Shiroi Koibito white choc biscuits, so was super excited to visit the factory location whilst in Sapporo. I was a bit underwhelmed. I’ve been to the Cadbury factory in Tasmania Australia which was big and they used to take you through the factory, I don’t think they do that anymore but the experience was much better. Here, you only see the tiny operations through glass windows which is self guided. There were no specials or 2nds sold in the gift shop, all were at set prices as per every other shop. The gardens and flowers and buildings were all ok. Nice choc ice cream outside from a van vendor. But I wouldn’t make a day of it, more 1-2 hours, entry fee a bit steep at 800 ¥ for what it was.

From Sapporo Station, you can take a highway bus bound for Otaru or walk from Miyanosawa Station on the Tozai subway line. On the day we visited, it was opening time, but there was a line at the ticket booth. They were students on a school trip. It seems that you can enter smoothly by purchasing tickets in advance. Admission is free on the day before or after your birthday, and you can also get a complimentary chocolate drink at the cafe. We didn't have much time, so we rushed through it. There was a piece written about the history of Shiroi Koibito, and it reminded me of the fact that there was a case of expiration date tampering. The shop on the first floor sold chocolates that were only available at the store. There is a charge for paper bags for small quantities, but you can get up to one bag for free if you put in a large quantity. From September, there were Halloween events and products.
