We had a great time learning how to be ninjas.
Definitively a must for anyone who has a 5-year old ninja-crazy kid. This was his highlight for the whole trip to Japan. Older family members had good times as well.

Really well thought out and well run experience. The instructor was very knowledgeable and clearly from a martial arts background. She included a lot of knowledge in the two hours, gave everyone lots of chance to practice what was being taught and made this a thoroughly enjoyable experience. 5 stars 🌟, would definitely recommend 👍

This was such an amazing experience, don’t miss this if you are visiting Kyoto and choose this one over any other ninja/samurai experiences in the area.
Our instructor was very knowledgeable, she knew every aspect of what being a ninja was about . One of the great things about this experience was that it was run in a small class of 4 so it felt very personal. The 2 hours were packed full of activities and everyone had a go at everything. The weapons you got to try out were much more realistic than in other experiences we have done and the amount of different moves/weapons you got to do/use was amazing.
In addition to this, one of the ladies was taking photographs throughout and these were emailed to us afterwards, included as part of the experience which was a really nice touch.

Great experience. Very relaxed and laid back style of teaching, with some ninja attitude.
Very knowledgeable in the history and weapons of the 'Ninja'.

Magnifica experiencia. Recomendable 100%. Un dojo con montones de armas ninja donde aprenderás sus técnicas y habilidades. La sensei una profesional con mucha paciencia que nos hizo pasar una experiencia inolvidable. Si te gusta el mundo del ninja es imprescindible. Me encantaría volver algún día y repetir la experiencia para seguir aprendiendo de este arte legendario.

非常好的一个体验课程，从忍者呼吸 忍者步等最基本的开始， 然后了解忍者的各种武器， 学习忍者格斗术 非常有意思。还有各种各样的忍者飞镖可以玩。喜欢武术 喜欢格斗的朋友 一定要来体验。工作人员还免费帮忙拍照。

We really enjoyed our Ninja workshop in Kyoto. The instructor was very informative and created plenty opportunities for us to practice our ninja skills. We would definitely recommend the workshop as a must if you are planning to visit Kyoto.
In our group there was a young girl who was with her Mum and Dad. The workshop is a great family opportunity especially if you have teenagers.

What an amazing experience!!
We had such an amazing time at the Ninja Dojo and our teacher Chihiro San was fantastic!
She taught us different ninja techniques and let us use a lot of different weapons!

You can go to their website either from TripAdvisor or via google. The website has the booking option for whatever course you have in mind. Just fill in the required details and booking is made in your name. No money to be paid up front. You pay when you get there.
If you want to go without booking, I would still recommend checking out their website as when you try to book, the empty slots in the day’s course are available for ready reference. This way you don’t waste your time if the course is close to full.

Usually we can accept only over 5 years old, because the lesson is difficult for under 5 years old.
But if you want to let him join and don't mind it's difficult for him, he could join.

You should be fine. Just opt out of the one or two activities you’re not up to, if any.
Even the instructor combat stuff is done gently and very slowly... I think you’re fine.
This baby is going to be born with ninja training! How cool is that? :)

Help please! Just wondering what people would recommend for a 7.5 year old boy who is not hyperactive and has good concentration in general. The 1 hour or 2 hour session?? Would the 2 hour one be too long or does the time whizz by?? Can't decide!

The Time did whizz by. The instructor tried to cover everything in 1hr. 2hr would give you a lot more time on the stars and blowgun!
