A lovely museum in a number of ways. The displays are very interesting and paint a picture of how telecommuications has developed from the very earliest days in Malaysia. The building itself is a beautiful neo-classical/art deco masterpiece from a bygone era, and this is worth a visit alone. And the building houses temporary events on a regular basis, which are more than worth visiting - while I was there is was a Borneo crafts, food and drink event. Well worth a visit- and they have grand plans to grow and do more.

Interesting evolution of malaya telecommunication history. We get to zoom in the past. Musuem size is on a smaller scale

What the museum has in the gallery is very interesting, it's just a shame that there's not much of it. I was really hoping to see more of the modern history of telecommunication in Malaysia, the exhibit just stops sometime when sattelite radio was invented. What about mainframes or wifi? While maybe you could argue that it's because the building itself isn't very big, I found that a lot of its space wasn't even in use, like the whole top floor. Overall, I appreciate that we have the museum at all and especially that it's free for entry, but I wouldn't mind paying a fee if it meant the gallery would be improved.

We visited Muzium Telekom last August 2022.
There was a lady with black shirt, terracotta pant, and pink hijab was busy with her team doing some outdoor activities.
This lady (as mentioned above, seems the team leader of this muzium) want to install an outdoor banner, exactly were I was seating, in the muzium's front pedestrian area. She reprimanded her male staff (not in the video, other slender one) who was politely say excuse to me by saying no need to say excuse in a very disrespect way, as enclosed recording.
Just a wish to make it better experience for the visitors by putting right man with consistent high level of service and attitude in the right place. We hope the Muzium Telekom management will develop the slender man to have a better chance on his career, to give more positive influence towards the team and be able to lead by example including that lady (in the video, whom I think need to learn professional manner more from him).
Overall it was a great event, we saw a very interesting activities, and a movie screening on the other day.
We tried to reach the management tru Facebook (if we are not mistaken her name was Mrs. Zulitha Arina and we were not handled in an expected high professional level of services yet) then she blocked us instead

Museum ini punya bangunan yang agak tua tapi menarik dan masih bagus.
Dan saat masuk ke dalamnya, ternyata mereka punya museum yang sangat bagus.
Tidak bosan untuk melihat-lihat di dalamnya.
Sangat menarik.

We bought KL pass for all attractions in KL, but for some reasons the KL pass didn't work at this museum, Lady(forgot her name) in the reception took the initiative to speak with the KL pass customer care and spent 30 minutes over the phone to sort it out and then another colleague of her named 'TONY' did all the paper work whilst we visited the museum, so they can invoice the KL pass team later. Thanks Tony and your colleague for the wonderful hospitality. for the second time 'TONY' helped us to bring our water bottle to the restaurant downstairs around lunch time. Would recommend this museum if you are fond of telecommunications.

This little Interesting Museum of communication in Malaysia. It’s very nicely laid out. Great explanation in English. Upstairs you can use computers iPads. Are use my own with free Wi-Fi.

I saw this beautiful heritage building from the lobby of the hotel that I was staying. I decided to visit it and the entry charge for foreigners is 11 RM.
The museum tells you about the evolution of telecommunications with lots of exhibits and there is also a library which is open for public.
There are lots of seating areas inside where you can access internet. There is also a nice cafe on the ground floor.

Nothing much for the exhibition that is specific for telephones or even telephones in malaysian history. And its quite pricey.
But there are some surprises:
1) the colonial building its quite a charm and good shade from the heat
2) there a good cafeteria to try local food
3) you can further escape the heat with the aircond in the museum
4) there a WIFI zone with lots of computers for you to chill out. You can rest there while browsing through your itinerary etc.
