ไปตรงช่วงเทศกาลดอกโบตั๋นพอดี คนเยอะมาก สวนใหญ่ และมีทางเข้า-ออกหลายทาง มีรถกอล์ฟให้บริการจากทางเข้าฝั่งตะวันออก ไปถึงประมาณกลางสวน มีดอกโบตั๋นหลากหลายสีให้เดินชม เพลินๆ

colorfull ,wide, big park which in April is a massive of all kinds of peony the Chinese national Flower. One can easy spent half a day in the park and wander around the flowers or the the lake. Not sure about the benefit of the park during the non peony seasons.

中国国花园，票价很亲民，牡丹种类繁多，四月份去是最美的时候，大多数都是在拍拍拍，很美的。建议直接从东门近，往里走点就可以看到很多牡丹了，再往西走，还是一样的，量力而行吧

If you happen to be in Luoyang in April, you must visit one of the peony gardens. We were there in early april and most of the plants were not blooming yet, but even the early ones were so beautiful. It's about 2 km from one end of the garden to the other, one can take a tourist bus that cost 10 yuan. Entrance to the park is 10 yuan.

you must visit here in April or the beginning of May. After that the peonies die off. But go at these times and it is really quite spectacular Easy access and some lovely walks. Does get rather busy

Довольно обширный парк с разнообразной флорой от пальм до хвойных деревьев. Можно отдохнуть от палящего солнца в одной из живописных беседок в китайском стиле или в тени деревьев. В парке столько тропинок и укромных уголков, что почти каждый желающий может найти место для того, чтобы побыть в одиночестве и тишине. Исключение - период цветения пионов - символа Лояна. Но уже во второй половине мая парк становится малолюдным, а вход в него - бесплатным.

Location and getting there.
This park is south of the river between the Luoyang bridge and the Peony Bridge.
There are entrances from both ends, although the Peony bridge end seems best.
The Number 77 bus has a stop right outside.
We walk down to the park from the Luoyang Museum, about 1 Km.
(from the front of the museum facing it, walk down the left side towards the parking attendants hut, before you close noticed a diagonal paved footpath and take it, this leads into the backstreets past a novel food garden area, walk straight across about 3 cross roads then turn left, at the main road turn right past the big junction then cross over and head for the bridge, the park entrance is on the right.)
As the park follows the river, but does NOT touch the river banks, (there is a further strip of land that acts as a buffer), their are minimal steps making for a nice walk,
During the Peony season it's has an entrance fee, otherwise it's free.
We were there in Early June, so not a peony flower in sight and the butterfly area was disassembled. However it's still a very pleasant walk, there is a small lake and the lilies were starting to flower.
This park has 1086 Peony types and 100 tree types, so in season it's a riot of colour.
The locals use it out of season for many things. The young boys playing hide and seek / tag, a couple practicing on saxophones, a grandfather training two young lads in combat kung fu, ( really quite frightening seeing the blows land full force).
Once you have meandered your way through the park, avoiding the watering systems designed to soak the unwary you exit onto the Longman Avenue. Grab a cab or turn left and walk over Luoyang Bridge on the footpath / cycle raceway to see the river etc.

在四月中旬去的，据说那是观赏牡丹最好的时候。买了门票去到园中，看到遍地的牡丹，早开的品种已经有一些凋谢，晚开的也还没有开的迹象，大多数都是刚好处在盛花期，很幸运地三个时期的牡丹都能看见，更好地理解了牡丹的雍容华贵，四月也是柳絮纷飞的时候，满园的柳絮很漂亮也很容易使人鼻子难受。园内还有许多商家贩卖有关牡丹的纪念品，两个小时左右就能游遍全园。

Very big gardens in a central location. There are peonies during April, when they bloom, but don't expect to see any, any other time of the year. It would be a nice park to visit all summer .

will be visiting longmen grottoes in early april and wonder if there is any direct buses to any park to view the blooming of peony flowers?
