Aardige kerk, maar zoals vele kerken in Kroatië gesloten voor het publiek. Mooi opgeknapt in vergelijking met een aantal vervallen gebouwen in de buurt

This is a pretty little church in the Baroque style in Varazdin. The inside of the church is quite nice especially the organ loft.

Chiesa barocca che con la sua graziosa mole ben s'inserisce nel paesaggio urbano di Varazdin. Vista solo dall'esterno, purtroppo nonostante vari passaggi trovata sempre chiusa. Alla prossima.

In 1703 the Ursuline came at the invitation of Magdalena Drašković (Countess) In 1707 they built this church and opened a school for girls. The tower was built in 1726.

Walking around Varazdin you can tell its been there awhile. This church is one of those buildings, built in the 1700's. Nothing spectacular inside but beautiful in many ways.

The Ursulines Church was built at the request of the Ursuline sisters in 1712 though the tower was added in 1726. The said nuns came to Varaždin from Bratislava at the very beginning of the eighteenth century at the invitation of the Drašković family, and before having the nunnery standing next door built they lived in that family’s Palace.
The Church is in baroque style and consists of a single nave. It’s considered the most beautiful religious building in Varaždin as far as its outer part is concerned, partly due to the light pink and white colours of its façade and of the bell tower, already visible from the other end of the Ursulinska. Owing to that and to the niches, window, the scroll pediment and the other fine ornamental elements of its façade as well as the smart belfry, it could be said that the outer part of the Church is more attractive than its interior. As a matter of fact,, the Church inside is quite simple. It’s, as said, a single nave temple. The ornaments in the chancel are rather moderate. The central part of the reredos at the high altar consists of the carving of some figures depicting the manger, flanked by statues of saints. Likewise there is such a kind of statues but of a smaller size on each side of the shrine. No side altars are visible in that temple but just statues on pedestals in some corners. The pulpit is perhaps the most artistic element of the Church interior. It’s delicately manufactured and around its enclosure there are statues representing the four evangelists on the sides and Christ at the front.
By and large it’s a very nice building worth visiting. Unfortunately in general it’s closed except at mass time. Therefore, in order to go inside it’s advisable to get the necessary information on the mass timetable and act accordingly.
The square in front of the Church entrance is usually very quiet. There are some craftsmen there showcasing their works. The talk with them may turn up to be interesting.

Очень необычным показался цвет церкви, она розовая, видели такого цвета церковь впервые. Расположена на территории монастыря, внутрь пускают, правда попросили фотографировать без вспышки. Алтарь красивый, богатое убранство

Impossibile non notarla passeggiando per le piacevoli viuzze del centro storico di Varazdin. Il suo campanile si nota da quasi qualsiasi posizione. Piccola ma graziosa!

Kostel se mi líbil zvenčí a jeho vnitřek ještě více. Stojí za to tu chvíli posedět a prohlédnout si ho.

Kostel je pěknou ukázkou sakrální architektury. Je plný pěkných obrazů a soch a přiléhá k němu hezký klášter.
