The traffic was horrible. They charge a fee to go there but the property is not maintained. The road is broken . I had a tough time walking on it. No facilities. Not even a water cooler. Toilets very far. Would advise senior citizens to avoid.

Heaven on Earth. You feel like you are at foreign land. So clean and good spot for family outings.

Mannavanur Lake & Sheep Farm is a must visit if you are in this area. Its a nice grassland where youc an take few photos, rest and relax.

Lovely lake with serene surroundings, away from the hustle of kodaikanal town. Around 1km walk to the lake from the entrance,with a tea stall at entrance. Entrance fees apply

Very calm place -- Very neatly maintained -- Must visit lake - One can enjoy a nice picnic.. This place is worth a visit until it becomes too crowded..

scenic drive from Kodaikanal. Winding roads, pine trees, wind in your face, clouds / fog on the roads...just beautiful!
It's a clean, green Lake well maintained by the forest department.
Don't miss the Corracle boat ride and the Zipline.
Worth a visit if you are in Kodaikanal.

Zip line workers are cheaters there.. Went to mannavanur lake and they charged entrance fee of 20 or 30 something. We can also pay at the entrance for boat ride, boat ride & zip line. I don't know what is zip line so i didn't pay at the entrance. I went inside and saw the zip line and i really wanted to try. We gave cash of 1500 for 3 people by 2.30 pm but the person gave me 3 bills but the time of bills mentioned there is 11.00 & 11.30 am and it's also looks like old bill. I feel something fishy and at the end of the ride another person came and ask our bills to give back. I'm not sure what is happening but I know they cheats everyone and the govt too. Someone check and do the rightful action against them.

You get to see the real beauty of Kodaikanal as you travel towards Vattakanal. The road towards Mannavanur Lake is further up, about 35 kilometers from Vattakanal. The road trip from Vatta to Mannavanur lake is something you should experience on your journey to Kodaikanal. The roads are so pretty, it is covered with greenery, and it is peaceful. The lake is lovely; it's not crowded like the main destinations like coakers walk or Dolphin's nose.
PS: You won't get a two-wheeler(scooty or bike) for hire in Kodaikanal. The best thing to do is to reach Madurai, hire a vehicle, and ride to Kodaikanal. It is about 120 km from Madurai, half of which is a highway(NH44 and a state highway), and the rest is the beautiful Kodai Road(about 60 km uphill). You will see a lot of stunning views and waterfalls en route. It was one of the best road trips I had in South India.

In this place have good view point and lake. The lake is around greenish gross and trees. The local guys operated parisal in this lake so children's are very enjoyed and good for photo suits

Must visit and enjoy crockel and kayaking , excellent view with some good activities - not much of snacks options so better to carry some eatable if gng with kids

This is in one far away place and the Berjiemen lake is in an other Al to gather different place

One day trip with 18 people is very very short. The best thing you can do is to spend your time at Kodaikanal lake which is at heart of the city. Young ones can do cycling around lake, old ones can do boating in lake. Do some shopping of chocolates.. have food in good restaurants nearby lake and enjoy the walk around the city.

This is quite far from the actual Kodai town and would take about an hour and a half drive to reach there. But you would need around 5 hours max to visit this. So it’s okay if you’re staying away from the place.

We had unlimited meal for RS.80/-. It was good.. they serve like at home.. if you're bothered much about hygiene then it's OK place .. otherwise it's good. As others suggested.. you can survive with packed food... But good place to spend the time...

Roads are not that much good. Up to 15 kms from kodaikanal road is good. Afterwards road is worst and we have to travel slowly. Nearer to Mannavanur road is ok.
