I recently visited Channi Carpets & Textiles in Jaipur to see how hand knotted carpets and block printed fabric are made. The demonstrations were interesting and informative. My experience in the showrooms afterwards was great. I purchased two block printed tablecloths and a silk dress in the textile shop. The range was great and the staff helpful. I also purchased a beautiful carpet which I had shipped home. I was asked to sign the carpet itself to ensure I received the actual carpet I chose in the showroom. I arranged a delayed shipment to ensure I arrived home before my carpet. It all went to plan. My carpet was well packed to ensure no damage in transit and communication regarding courier and c tracking details was clear and timely. I had a great experience with Channi Carpets & Textiles and couldn't be happier with my carpet. The cat has also given it his seal of approval.

I purchased a carpet from Channi textiles I am very pleased now that I have it on my floor a real heirloom. Delivery was very prompt and relieved in excellent condition highly recommended

SHOUT-OUT FOR CHANNI CARPETS & TEXTILES PVT.LTD IN JAIPUR, INDIA
In October, my Mom was part of a 22-member tour group that visited India with ROAD SCHOLAR, an organization famous for planning tours worldwide. The group visited sites in New Delhi; Agra, site of the famous Taj Mahal; Jaipur, described as India's textiles capital; and Vanarasi, where the River Ganges, holy to Hindus, flows.
In Jaipur, the group was eager to see textiles, and in addition to the planned itinerary to historic sites, they visited CHANNI CARPETS & TEXTILES (Address: Mount Road, Opp. Rampart Road, Jaipur-302 002 (India) Tel: 0091-141-2672214 & 2672231) to look at carpets and fabrics. My Mom telephoned me via Wasapp, turned the camera on the fabrics, enabling me to select fabric after fabric, to be made into amazing outfits on my next trip to Africa.
The hospitality was wonderful and the staff was very patient as it took over an hour browsing through various silk fabrics and making several selections. I would highly recommend CHANNI CARPETS &TEXTILES for their beautiful silk fabrics. It was definitely worth the stop!!!
My mom, for her part, got measured for several outfits, which were sewn in the shop and subsequently shipped, along with my gorgeous fabrics. Shipped via DHL, the package arrived at our home about two weeks later. We are ecstatic about our purchases and feel compelled to give a huge shout-out to CHANNI CARPETS & TEXTILES. Check it out!......

Our small group of travelers were treated to demonstrations of hand-blocked cottons as well as the artistry involved in creating & weaving hand-knotted fine woolen & silk textiles & carpets.
At the conclusion of our visit, we had the opportunity to purchase a variety of linens, scarves, clothing & household textiles. I purchased a magnificent carpet & the price included shipping to my home. The company is reliable, employs fine artisans & keeps the customer informed on the status of goods purchased thru the entire shipping process. This is a do-not-miss opportunity when visiting Jaipur.

Excellent experience. I bought pjs and a jacket downstairs and viewed many silk rugs upstairs. I couldn't find the color I wanted, so they sourced from one of their suppliers and brought choices to my hotel. I had the rug shipped to the USA and it arrived promptly and in great condition. High recommend.

We went only to look as part of a group tour of India, We quickly changed our minds when they started rolling out the carpets, we were very impressed the designs and the quality. They had us take off our shoes so we could walk barefoot, quite an experience. We ended up purchasing a 6'x9' area rug. The price included shipping and we received it a week later. We do recommend going with a guide. Our guide helped us navigate the process. While they spoke English very well, the customs of the area can be different

Bali was a gracious and generous host with great patience and a good sense of humor. My mother and I took a tour of the block-printing and rug making that was just long enough to understand the whole process and see the artisans at work. Then we browsed all sorts of stunning rugs in a private showroom. I purchased two rugs and they arrived quickly and safely back in NY with no trouble at all! And for irresistible prices too!
We also spent time in the fabric shop where we purchased raw textiles by the yard as well as beautiful premade items and also I designed custom pajamas for my kids that were delivered directly to our hotel later. Definitely go prepared to shop as it is nearly impossible not to! Everything is an incredibly reasonable price. Can’t wait to go back again in the future.

An incredible and personal experience seeing the wonderful workings of this textile factory. We saw the famous Jaipur block printing in person, how they transform the colours, and we also saw the magic of their carpet creations and the talented families behind the craft. We were then given a magnificent carpet show performance, with most of us walking away with a purchase (but we didn’t feel forced to buy anything). We were offered delicious treats and drinks whilst we browsed the carpets. Following that, we went downstairs to a museum of fabrics, clothes, bed sheets and more! Many got clothes custom made - delivered the next night to our hotel with the tailor so any adjustments made could be captured and sorted quickly, allowing us to leave with our perfect garments the next morning. It was a seriously amazing afternoon, or half a day experience as there is so much to see! I bought myself a beautiful Jaipur “Pink City” rug, and it arrived in perfect condition the day I arrived home in Australia. Seamless experience and I will forever cherish my beautiful rug and other gorgeous treats I bought whilst visiting Channi.

I saw Georgina B's post about Channi Carpets and how they had made a jacket, etc. Did they just take your measurements and make this - how did this come about? Did they have sample things, etc. This sounds like a fascinating place. Thanks for your information, nancy
