According to the estate guide, it is the smallest tea estate in Darjeeling located near by Zoo. Approach road is pathetic, steep slopes and incline while coming back and pathole filled. Once you take turn into this road, there is no turning back, you have to go down all the way to estate to return. If you love your car, don't go here.
Comimg to factory tour, it lasted less than 10mins only two process are running. They offer tea for tasting at the end of the tour. Overall, not worth spending time.

This place is amazing!! When visiting Darjeeling, you MUST visit Happy Valley Tea Estate. We visited this past weekend and it is honestly one of our favourite places in this region. The factory tour and tea tasting and products for sale were all outstanding. The employees were kind and attentive at every step. They were very welcoming and provided great customer service.

The manager was also so kind and gracious and generous with his time. He went way above and beyond to make us feel special and welcome and to show us how to really appreciate Darjeeling tea. We honestly don’t have enough words to express our gratitude for the experience. Do not miss this place when visiting Darjeeling! You should also buy tea here. It’s truly one of a kind! And don’t miss the chance to walk around the tea plantation as well to complete the visit.

Not worth your time. This was the quickest factory tour I’ve ever been on. There’s very little to see with a cursory description. Photos are prohibited inside. The tasting was very poorly designed.

Terrible is the one word to describe our experience. From a 1.5 km patchy, pot holed road that was built perhaps 20 years ago. Poor description by guide in anglicised Hindi to a group of 20 people who had to seek out Rs 100 each. Most descriptive posters were made years ago that had fainted. Ancient machinery, poor experience of tea tasting in soup spoons. Tea at Rs 750 per 100 grams was a rip off. Toilets were pathetic, wet, smelly, no water.

Very well worth a visit if you are in the Darjeeling area. Beautiful scenic views as you approach the tea estate. Fascinating guided tour for a very small fee. Our guide, a charming young lady by the name of Jaya was very knowledgeable and helpful and explained the process of making tea from start to finish. Jaya also took us through the tea tasting explaining the different "flushes" and flavours of the teas and introduced us to "White Tea" that we had never seen before. We purchased a number of packets of tea for our friends and relatives in the Isle of Man and have had very positive feedback - all declared the teas to be superbly and delicately flavoured. Tea is also 100% organic which is the only tea we drink.

Tour was perfunctory. She had a canned speech, about a 15 minute tour. Good english, wasn’t very engaging, never asked our names, etc. only wanted to know what hotel we were from, why I don’t know.

Tasting: this was the biggest disappointment. I expected being served a small amount of tea in a teacup. Instead, the teas were sitting out (uncovered & cold)in a small container. Each of these 5 tea containers had a serving tablespoon in them. We were then given our own tablespoon, took the serving tablespoon from the tea container, poured it our tasting tablespoon and slurped the tea. We continued the process for the next 5 teas. I felt it was unsanitary and would have been a much nicer experience if we

After tour used the washroom. No excuse for the condition. FILTHY

1. They are cheaters. They Sale tea at the rate which is more than double from any other reputed tea vendors or n darjeeling. 2. Staff is rude and non interested in tourists who pay for their tea estate tour. 3. They ask name of hotels we are staying in and moreover drivers get tourists here rather than agencies. Things sounds fishy here

Hello Darshan, You and probably someone else related to you have left us same negative review on Google Reviews as well. We have already responded to your and the other person's review. We will re-share our view points here. 1) We can't be called Cheaters if you have find Our Teas expensive. Believe me our teas are way more expensive than this. We have subsidized the prices for Indian Market. And if were cheats then we would have sold the Teas at a Jacked up price at the Tea Boutique and in other prices everywhere. But it's not the case, you can Google Happy Valley Tea, its sold at same prices offline and online. And there are hundreds of factors behind the prices of our tea, one of the top most being it's Pure Darjeeling. Just to let you know, most of these reputed local tea vendors have a reputation of selling Nepal Teas in name of Darjeeling Teas. Ref: https://bit.ly/3QrIovv Moreover our Teas are Organic for a very long time, grown biodynamically in harmony with nature. And the Highest Tea Plantation and factory at 6800ft make the growing teas and manufacturing them more expensive. 2) We are having a Huge Influx of Tourists all of a sudden post Covid and the team gets overwhelmed at times with all sorts of people and they may take a little bit time to respond. We can be a little humane to the ladies who are hardworking and managing everything. True, they are local and don't have very polished spoken skills and the language barrier mat at time come as rude but its not so. There are thousand of other reviews across the Internet for Happy Valley which will corroborate that the Hilly People who single handedly manage everything there are the most hospitable people one can come across. We are in the Service Industry and we understand that we may not be able to make 100% people Happy with our Service but we will continue our efforts to do better. Having said that, we have passed on your remarks to the Management and will work on this internally. 3) We ask the name of Hotels since there have been instances where people have left their valuables at our place. Having the name of Hotels handy helps. Though it's not mandatory. And we don't see the harm in Drivers bringing Tourists and not Agencies. Happy Valley is one of the Top 10 places to visit in Darjeeling for decades. It's not surprising if the drivers suggest to drive you to the Tea Estate on their own. We are not incurring any expenses on this. If any agencies were hired to do so then the Rs 100 Guided Tour fees would have increased and many including you won't have liked it. Hope we have been able to answer your feedback in a profound manner. We are extremely sorry if we are little blunt in putting our perspective. Regards Team Happy Valley
