I hosted my engagement ceremony on board CrossIndia Cruises in May 2019 cruising on the magnificent Hooghly river. I must say that it was an incredible experience which was made memorable by the CrossIndia Cruises Team. Right from the first question, to the booking, to the ceremony I was assisted by a team of professionals who make me feel so much at home. They were very flexible with requests and I always felt a personal touch. Vishal and his Crossindia Cruises Team are no less than magicians who make your special day a most memorable one. The food on board is absolutely delicious and have very attentive service. The decor of the cruise is done as per your choice and can be customized. I recommend people to try out their cruises to experience the beauty of it, Kolkata looks magnificent from the riverside. Me and my now wife Pinky would like to thank Vishal, Tridip, Pragati and the entire CrossIndia Cruises Team for making our Engagement so special...Thank You CrossIndia Cruise Team... Wishing you more successes!!!

Serampore is v congested, narrow roads & dirty.
The river front is dirty, the river sluggish and littered.
The tavern is nice to see from outside, nicely restored rooms. The dining room and the whole tavern along with a flurys outlet , is run by the Park Group.
The house is nicely restored, very clean washrooms( a big plus point for lady travellers). Rooms are big, roomy and spic and span. Very soothing to the eye.
The bane? Food. Flurys menu, flurys prices, NOT flurys quality. The tavern has no reception to channelise the huge influx of guests on a nippy sunday afternoon.
You have to wander about looking for somebody to request for a table.
The staff is courteous, very much so in the face of irate customers annoyed by the slow, helter skelter service, the waiters running about like headless chicken.
Food takes one hour to come, haphazard, one main arrives, then one by one starters and drinks dont arrive till the very end, past one hour.
Very disappointing quality of service when you think that you went with high expectations of Park hospitality and the fabulously advertised pictures. This is not what you expect at all.
Only a beautifully renovated house with totally swamped service , completely out of depth , is not likely to pull more tourists from Kolkata unless the service lives up to the expectations raised.Otherwise if it a beautifully restored tavern you want to visit, with local catering? Then it is fine.Go check out the new kid on the “limited one day trip options near Kolkata” block.

Really had a good time. The guy attending us was on his toes. I went for a date cruise on a shared charter and they took care of my little request for Carnashian flowers on my bouquet and that was so sweet. However, the candle bras I felt could be a little longer since the flame flickered off cause of the wind. Also,we had a family on the table beside us so it was a little uncomfortable with my girlfriend on the next table. Beside that, great experience.

It's was an excellent Breakfast cruise experience overall. My children and wife had amazing fun. Very courteous and friendly staff, a sumptuous breakfast and a very high standard of cleanliness and hygiene on board including the crockery and cutlery etc .The only area of improvement is that I wish there were more of Kolkata heritage for us to take a halt at."

I had an opportunity of availing of the services of CrossIndia when I opted for their much publicized 'CrossIndia Ganges Tour' on a breezy and historical February evening - the 75th anniversary of the Howrah Bridge.
The experience I gained was unparalleled to say the least on several levels. The first was the choice of ambient music - soft, soothing, melodious. The next was an assorted mix of never ending starters. There was Paneer (grilled), Chicken (two kinds), Fish (fried), an array of vegetables in some delicious Spring Rolls, and some lovingly chilled soft drinks.
And then there was the cruise itself. Languorously paced, rhythmically romantic, oddly satisfying. My darling daughter who wasn't yet a year and a half old then was a sight to behold as she rushed back and forth across the deck in glee in a way we had never witnessed before, and not yet since. Her gurgling laughter filled our hearts with a serene sense of happiness even as my wife and I grappled with a host of emotions ourselves.
There was effervescent romance (as we gazed across the river and at each other), magnanimous pride (as we sighed upon the beautifully lit Howrah Bridge) and a sense of abject peace (as we passed along the banks of the river).
We thought this could not get any better as the vessel started moving back. But we were wrong. Because waiting for us in the comfortable cabin below was a feast for the senses. It was tasty, healthy, and intelligent - to say that it was delicious would be an understatement. There was juicy chicken, juicier mutton, fragrant rice, spaghetti, roti, veg Jhalfrezi and what not! Just when we thought we could eat no more came desserts and I at least for a moment wanted to desert it all!
Thankfully I didn't and ended up tasting some lovely Gulab Jamuns and Ice-cream. By the time it was over, and we were headed back home, it seemed like we had successfully peeled off multiple layers of stress, monotonous routine, and boring nonchalance from our lives.
The night was still young (the cruise was approximately between 7:15 to 10:30), but as we walked back to Millenium Park my wife and I were somehow younger and the spring in our steps was back once again!
Thank you CrossIndia for gifting me an outstanding opportunity to appreciate the beauty of nature minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Bravo!
