We did not go in for tea. Was just outside the tea house admiring its menu and was really walking through while enjoying the lanterns. Not really interested in expensive tea at that time!!! However, this tea house looks really charming and its entrance is quite welcoming with an array of tea cups and tea sets to be admired and purchased.

The place is beautiful, just in front of the Yuyan Garden of Shanghai. The atmosphere and decoration are very nice.
Evne when tea is a bit expensive, it's a wonderful experience.

Talk about service without a smile...
My partner and I were sat down and pointed to the most expensive page on the menu (235RMB for a cup of tea).
The waitress then stood over us whilst we flicked through the menu to try and find a more reasonably priced tea. After 30 seconds, she scoffed and walked off.
We had a nice view from the window, so we decided to stay and purchase a still unreasonably priced tea for one person for 118 RMB, she said it was not possible to order one tea as there are two people. We said we understood the menu meant the tea is for one person, but only one of us will be drinking it. After some huffing and puffing she agreed and stormed off, only to come back with an under-brewed tea.
After only a few minutes she then came back with the bill and an attitude.

Beware. As others have reported, they show only a portion of the menu and push you to the most expensive options. 238 RMB (almost US$35) for a cup of tea. Make sure you demand to see the full menu. Very dishonest.

Die Überschrift sagt eigentlich schon alles aus. Nettes Teehaus. Aber das war es definitiv nicht wert.

Queued for long to enter. The tea and the service are average, but the story of the bends in the bridge to slow off spirits and the lake it is situated upon are a charm. Do go on week days. SOme days it is too crowded to appreciate.

Shanghais oldest teahouse, in The middle of a small Lake, with a interesting bridge.
Go up to The first floor, sit by a Window, and look out at The crowd downstairs, while you enjoy your tea. The House is from 1784, and has been a teahouse since 1855. And If you sit a little bit, you can imagine, that you are 100 years back in time.On groundfloor you Can buy tea, cups and teapots.
Be aware, that they offer you a tea-arrangement, with teaeggs, tofu and ricecockies, that are very expensive. It was not possible to see other pages of The menucard. We paid 326 yens for a White and a jasmin tea.....

The teahouse is located in Old Shanghai, which is now a shopping district. The teahouse is in a picturesque setting in the market, surrounded by bridges and fountains.
We had a black tea service which came with quail eggs, tofu, a gummy rice ball and candied dates for two. The tea was excellent. The staff does speak some English to help you make selections. You can purchase tea and tea service sets downstairs.

友人が上海を訪問した際に参りました。店員さんは語学が堪能なので、安心です。お茶を頼むとお茶受けのお菓子なども沢山つけてくれます。またお湯はお代わり自由。コスパ良しです。

I visited the teahouse on 19th august and paid for my tea with credit card - the first swipe did not go through. Now looking at my statement my card has been charged twice - can you please process the refund?
Is there any email I can contact? Thanks.

I went to Huxingting Teahouse on 02.06.2017 and drunk tea. My account costed as 68 rmb and I paid it by credit card. The girl who served me, bring pos machine twice and said to me the first one wasn't realised. However, the transaction was realised twice and you charged 68 rmg twice from my credit card. I want you to cancel one of them as it must be. If you send me your email, I will give you detailed information. This is urgent.
