Fantastic show! My kids were completely blown away as were we. I have been to my fair share of Lua’s in Hawaii and none of them have even come Close to this show! The buffet was great, lots of options! But the show was amazing! Way better than o expected and for such an expensive island, I thought this package was an excellent value as well! Hard to book online so I just popped in and booked in person.

We were at the show of very high quality as well as the meal which was buffet shaped a discovery of excellent Polynesian cuisine. And the next day we renewed our vows of 40 wedding that emotions and how beautiful it was. I recommend taking photographer Emilie Corthals for photos and video. Because on her way back to metropolis she is happy to discover her very intense moments. But I also very much thank the artists for their kindness, the emotions they bring true moments of happiness Mauruuru

To my surprise, after visiting 6 islands around Society Islands archipelago I must admit there isn't that much out there available to learn about the Polynesian culture - something I thought Hawaii captures better. Perhaps the Taputapuātea on Raiatea but even that (reviewed separately) has significant shortcoming and room for enlightening people more about the proud culture of this region of the world - and It hink the Tiki Village in Moorea does it pretty well!
We stopped during lunch time just to walk around/read and explore, and for that it was a decent stop - there is also a gift shop at the entrance. The outside vendors do organized tours on the grounds and in the evening there is an opportunity to have the Polynesian dinner with the festivities - we didn't do that last part so I can't comment on that.
Considering it's a free entrance pass it's a no brainer to stop by if you rent a car while on Moorea.
I must say it finally pushed us to what the Mutiny on Bounty that I am about literally watch as I am finishing this review LOL

The buffet is delicious and allows you to discover the specialities of the Tahitian oven. The team is lovely and very caring for the customers.
The show is very beautiful and explains some of the local culture.
Only anachronistic curiosity but very fun and amazing the Christmas decoration worthy of Vegas , a priori temporary...!!!

If you don't speak French-THEN PLEASE DON'T GO!!! There is a lot of cultural information in the food prep tour but they totally ignore English speaking customers. They say 98% in French and then 2% in broken English. We were so very disappointed! It is not like the advertised picture with performances on the beach. The performance was below average with young inexperienced dancers trying to watch the older ones to see what comes next. I am NOT a grumpy person who likes to write bad reviews! But I can't even give it 1 star for the food. Waste of time and money!

The welcome is lovely. For the visit of the village, we expected to find objects or decorations from Polynesia, but surprised by some Christmas decorations in early November. However, in the evening, the Polynesian show and buffet is amazing!

The village:
The Tiki village is promising in view of the many positive reviews but on site it is quite outdated sorry.
The place lacks much interactivity and modernity and this plays very much against it. Overall, the whole village should be refurbished.
We went there overnight to attend the show, everything was closed except the jewelry stand, it's maybe better the day.
Between the rather average huts or even outdated for some and the references of another time it is complicated.
I am thinking in particular of the central cabin, we find reproductions of Gauguin that rub shoulders with posters about Marlon Brando and Jacques Brel ... Even if the anecdotal side is nice, it is too old and since then there have been other audiovisual references to Polynesian culture that speak much more to young people. The same for the cabin of photographer A.Sylvain, already with Brel and Brando were on the references of our ancestors there it is even more true. As a visitor we are given to see his "photographic look" but 95% of the photos on display are young women half naked who would look just as beautiful with a top.Knowing that this person was photographer-reporter the relevance of this selection raises questions because it does not reflect Polynesian culture or historical facts.
Great disappointment, we are at the "Tiki Village" but on the spot they are very few present , except 2-3 Tiki scattered as decoration we find nothing on them , neither history, nor symbolism , nor their manufacture. Too bad.
The Show: It is the show that catches up with the general experience and the note. At first it's a bit repetitive but it gets very cool from the fire dance that bears his name well. From then on we see a real beautiful show with rich and varied paintings and very pretty colorful costumes.
In the end we have a good time but I don't know if I would recommend considering the price that remains quite high.

Great show, with an excellent dinner buffet, which was well worth the price paid.

Beautiful family and ancestral village. Piou Piou will welcome you with joy and introduce you to his village, how to braid to create Piou Piou Chanel, hats, how to grate fresh coconut, how to tie his pareo.
For those who eat on site, the buffet is filled with different salads, raw fish (coconut and others), of course the pig that you will have seen its opening with the meal.
There are 2 buffets, one cold and one hot, plus dessert before the dance show.
The dance and music show is Grandiose and quality, as well as dancers, musicians and costumers, the costumes are beautiful and colorful.
In the shop you will find quality objects at reasonable prices.
For my part I left with 3 pareos (1 for my husband, very nice model for man, 1 other for my 17 year old daughter, who chose herself and 1 for me).
Parking and very large, but I know there are shuttles for those coming from other islands too.

We decided to give it a try based on positive reviews. We ended up leaving early and had dinner from a local restaurant. The host focused mainly on it's French speaking customers than English speaking. The facilities are dated, I can learn more about the culture from a book. The Gauguin exhibit was a huge disappointment, it was run down and didn't focus about the artist at all. If we have known about the schedule upfront we would not opted for dinner show.. They served a very late dinner. Don't come hungry e relying on the buffet. I couldn't tell you about the food but we were happier after we left. Not worth it.

Hi, we are spending 5 nights on Moorea in September. Did you book the show in advance or do you think we can wait and book in person once we get there?
Skrevet 11. august 2018
We booked this in advance as it was an excursion that was part of our vacation package. There were quite a few people there the evening we went so I would be a little concerned about getting in if you try to buy a ticket at the door. The entertainment was great but not much else to see there and the food was not very good at all.
