Đúng là đẹp, hùng vỹ nhưng mà đông thật. Chờ mỏi chân mỏi cổ mới đến lượt vào mà có phải 1 điểm chờ đâu, đến 2-3 điểm chờ. Lên cao không khí loãng, leo mệt không tả đc.

View was great but so happen my visit was on a Saturday so it was packed with tourist.
The queueing system can be improved. Some parts had multiple lines so there were queue cutters. And people were standing so close to each other and openly coughing…

Habe mich an einem sonnigen Samstag Vormittag auf den Weg gemacht und es bereut. Der Spaß kostet für Touris 150.000+850.000+270.000 Dong, also gut 50€. Dafür kann man gut zwei Stunden mit Unmengen anderer (hauptsächlich asiatischer) Touris an jeder Bahn anstehen.
Oben angekommen war der Berg in einer Wolke, so dass man nichts sah. Überall sind Unmengen Souvenir Shops und der Trip kommt einem wir eine Kaffeefahrt vor.

I have seen some reviews saying lines were huge and others no lines.
I plan to go this Saturday or Sunday (2nd and 3rd November) can anyone suggest a time that would have less crowds?

sorry for late reply.....there was literally no line on the way up and there were about 50 people on the way back, tho it is so quick as each skycart carries quite afew people all at once....on the way up there were only 4 of us - get there early to beat the crowds...
Hi, during the ride up the cable car and when reached the peak, is the air so thin that breathing becomes difficult? How did you cope with it? I am travelling with kids and older folks.

Hi, After the cable car there is still one more funicular that you can choose to take. The very last part of the trip to the top is steep stairs and the air is noticeably thin. But just take it easy, don't try to run up the stairs and you'll be fine. I'm over 50 and we were also traveling with small kids.

Hello, I paid by cash but don't think there's a fee for card payment. There's no need to buy the tickets in advance. On the morning that we went, our hotel booked the tickets for us and arranged for them to be delivered to the hotel. We paid the hotel. We told our hotel the night before but they advised us to wait till the next day to make sure the weather was good before we got the tickets. The next morning we confirmed our trip before breakfast and the tickets were waiting for us right after breakfast.

The tram from sun plaza to cable car station is down. I guess its damaged due to landslide. You can take a taxi from town instead. But 1 way try to negotiate to 100VND. Thats what i did today

Hi, does anyone know if there's a footpath (a shortcut through paddies) from cable car station to the road to cat cat please? I measured on google and it's only 400m, can't see anything but paddies... Thank you

Hi, we are planning to visit Sapa in mid November. We were thinking of taking the overnight bus which leaves at 22:00h (10 PM) which will reach Sapa by 4AM next day. From the bus stop in Sapa how far is the cable car station and how can we go there? How much will it cost? We have 4 Adults. After Fansipan we would like to visit Silver Falls, can we go there without a guide? What transport can we use?
Also, to see the Fansipan top via cable car what is the best time you suggest to avoid Queues and experience clear views? We were thinking of going there at 7 AM when they open it. How long usually it takes for the entire cable car journey and are there cafes on top, are they expensive to get breakfast at the top?

Hi!
I dont know for where the bus stops, but fansipan cable car is about 3 km from city center. Cable car costs ~700kdong per person and the ride takes about 20 min. When you get out of the cable car you have two options. Either go to the top on your own (very long and exhausting in that height) or pay extra ~100k dong(not sure about exact price) for the ride to the real top. We have been there in mid october and the weather was very good from what we heard. But we were still in clouds on top and saw just mist. The ride to the top was beautiful though. There are cafes on top, i have no idea about pricing since they were closed when we visited. When it comes to silver waterfalls you can go without a guide and the best thing would be scooters.

Hi,
we plan to go there soon. Hope you can help to answer;
1) What time did you start to leave Muong Hoa valley and what time did you reach Fansipan cable car?
2) How long is the que to ride the cable car to the top? Do we have to wait long time but the tickets & que to ride the cable car?
3) What time did you finish and got back to Sapa town.
Basically, we need to reach back to Sapa town by 4 as we are informed that our bus to Hanoi will leave at 4pm. Is there any other alternatives?

Hi there!
We went to Fansipan riding a motorbike. It took us some 15min. Then you get on a shuttle bus that takes you to the main entrance. We didn’t have to wait in line to get the tickets and to actually get onnthe cable car took us some 10 more minutes. The ride is about 20 min and once you get to the top of the mountain you can spend there as much as you want but I would be there no more than one hour tops.
In case you didn’t want to ride a motorbike, I’m sure there are buses which take you there.
