This course has a nice design and plays pretty open for the most part. Fairways are maintained and greens are fairly good except for where there’s been some burnout. But the sand traps are horrendous, mostly gravel, and if you don’t want to destroy your irons, take a drop and treat them as ground under repair. Any ball that runs through the green is likely lost, as most greens are elevated and the grass on the back side isn’t watered so your ball will run forever on that dormant grass and ricochet off rocks. The big downside to this course is pace of play. There’s no enforcement of slow play, too many groups are booked, there aren’t enough carts, and the last two times I played it took over 3 hours for nine holes. Seriously. I have given up any more rounds there this season, and likely won’t return next fall. Too bad, as with an owner who would invest more where it’s needed most, and faster play, this would be a fine track.

Very friendly playable golf for our twenty senior golfers. Greens very large with undulating surface. Was really windy but really enjoyed the course. Unfortunately bar and restaurant closed and no beverage cart but we survived

We were unhappy with our experience on this golf course and let the manager (Mike Somebody) know. He was off-hand with us and downright rude. Needs to be sent to a seminar on improving people skills. Won't be golfing here again any time soon.

Being new to the area and not having picked up a club in over seven years, I knew that I’d need to find a course that was very forgiving. I asked one of my new neighbors which course that he would recommend that would be a little more forgiving and he told me about Torres Blancas and I’m glad that he did. Everyone at Torres Blancas was incredibly nice and they were super helpful in the pro shop. Once I got out on the course, I really liked the course layout and the course was in great condition. From the fairways to the greens, all the grass was super nice and lush. I didn’t see any bad conditions and as long as you stay in the fairway or close to it in my case, you’re going to be in pretty good shape. There are a couple of tighter holes, but for the most part at errant shot won’t be OB and that’s exactly what I was looking for! From a scenery standpoint, you can see the Santa Rita mountains from almost every hole and “Toto, we’re not in Kansas anymore!” I can really see coming back here for years to come with the great golf and also the Abrego Grill for a little 19th hole beverage when the round is done!

We played this on a cool Friday morning and were so impressed with the condition of the course--clean, groomed, friendly staff. We got a break, likely because of the cool weather, and had a fantastic time. The tee boxes didn't look like anyone had ever hit from them--the grass was perfect. The traps were freshly raked, there were no tees anywhere littering the tee boxes and the greens were beautiful. We saw more people who appeared to be performing maintenance (although nothing was disturbed that we could tell) than other golfers and it was a quiet calm morning.
Instead of going elsewhere, we decided to return on Saturday. It was a different experience--a tournament had delayed tee times and walkers were ahead of us, so we waited 10-15 minutes at every hole for the groups in front of us to clear. The starter assured us it would only be for the first 4 holes, but that didn't end up being the case. While we had finished 18 in about 3.5 hours on Friday, we abandoned at hole 11 on Saturday because the tournament players were still dilly-dallying, it was painfully slow and we'd lost interest in our game after 3.5 hours. Still, the course was beautiful and I look forward to playing there again.

Played on August 4th @ 6:15 tee time, friendly staff, teed off on time,pace of play was outstanding and I cannot say enough about the course conditions!! When in the fairway there was not a single bare lie!! Kudos to the maintenance staff and all of you who helped make this a great golf outing!!! See you Saturday for another great experience!

While the weather was a factor in my round, the course conditions, particularly the greens, need some loving attention. They need to be rolled. They are very bumpy, as a result don't expect to putt very well. The fairways were fine, and the bunkers are what you expect for the most part in Southern Arizona, hard, not fluffy.

My wife and I played Torres Blancas Golf Club with a late morning tee time during the week. The course and restaurant staff were nice but a bit disorganized. The course was jammed with senior players who played very slow. We had to wait at every tee box and in the fairway to hit our shots. The fairways and greens are in VERY poor condition. We would NOT choose to return to this course.

Torres Blancas was a nice little course. Not very daunting, but it was in very good shape and great for the novice and/or laid back golfer. As you can see from my scorecard, I had an 82. I am usually in the low 90's. Remember that you are at a higher elevation and in a dry environment, so golf ball will go further than at lower elevations. Staff was very friendly and the weekday rate of $25 + tax for 18 holes made it very affordable.
