A highlight of our trip to SA, we had a superb day with Greg. He has such a vast depth and breadth of knowledge and experience on all aspects of photography, Cape Town and environs. We learnt so much and we would highly recommend spending a day with Greg whatever your level of photography.

The tour provided by Greg was relaxed, safe and informative with great photography locations and opportunities. Greg is warm, friendly and immediately put us at ease. The tours were flexible and Greg knows all the best coffee shops! We enjoyed the Cape Point, V&A Evening, City and Township tours and would highly recommend them. As well as photography guidance and expertise, Greg also offered history and local interest along the way.

He hired Greg to take us to some locations around Cape Town and then to venture into the Cedarberg and Hantam Karoo. We were not disappointed. Greg also has an interesting photographic perspective which was great whilst enjoying the urban setting of Cape Town. He was also well versed in the local dialect and was helpful in navigating our way through the local towns in the greater western Cape area. We came back with some wonderful photographs of locations we would have missed. I highly recommend his services. Did I forget to mention he is a master in the art of braai?

Amazing tour, I spent the day with Greg has he showed me the amazing site of the Cape, told me the history and taught me more about photography!! 10/10 would recommend and do again!!

Cannot recommend enough!! The tour was amazing, Greg is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We visited some amazing spots and had some great conversations.

We wanted a Cape Town tour and some advice on photography. Other than insisting we meet at 5AM to see sunrise everything was excellent. He had an itinerary planned out so we would see the city with the light in the best location. He is easy going and very helpful. We ended up inviting him to dinner when our cruise returned in 2 weeks.

Right now as with the rest of the world, we have no work due to Coronavirus and Lock Down restrictions. We're all hoping everything resumes back to normal again soon.

Had a great time exploring Cape Town with Greg. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and easy to get along with. He is a very experienced photographer and a great teacher. He was also very flexible and accommodating, and we ended up covering a lot of ground in a day, allowing me to get to the most iconic spots on Cape Town. Thanks for a fantastic day! Was one of the highlights of my trip

My wife and I spent a day in and around Cape Town photographing (mostly) birds with Greg as our guide and we had a wonderful time. As well as being a great guide, Greg is also very knowledgeable about local Cape Town history and we enjoyed our conversations as much as the photography and bird watching.
The Kirstenbosch Gardens were especially enjoyable and we look forward to returning again in the future.
Highly recommended!

When you take the trip of a lifetime, you want the best. I chose Photography Tours because they are an award-winning company. I chose Greg because of his glowing reviews. People said he was a great tour guide, educator, photographer, and all-around good guy. They were right and It was a wonderful tour.
We chose the CAPE POINT & PENGUINS FULL DAY PHOTO TOUR because it covered so much of what we wanted to see, Cape Point, penguins, ostrich, a harbor with seals, & beautiful scenic drives. And remember, the is a private tour that Greg designs with you in mind.
After looking at Google images of Cape Town, I decided I wanted to schedule a second day that included a sunrise from Signal Hill for both of us, a tour of Kirstenbosch Gardens for my wife, and photo of Table Mountain from Table View Beach for me.
I suggest, if you can, do two days with Greg. The first, The Cape Point Penguins Tour. The second, things that you’d really like to photograph and see from reading TripAdvisor and looking at Trip Advisor Gallery and Google images. Be sure and tell Greg what interests you and what does not. For example, we are not wine drinkers so we chose the Gardens over a Winery.
Some surprise highlights were how much fun the tour was for both my wife and I. How Greg had suggestions for both me and my wife to improve our photos. I am a serious amateur and she is point and shoot for Facebook. Also, Greg had good alternative locations when the line for Table Mountain cable car was a 2 hour wait. And, we were a little worried about the food but the places Greg took us to eat were excellent. He let me use his tripod and he picked us up in a Jaguar! What fun!

We took an extra day out in Cape Town and thought we would hire a local photographer. As it was we were delighted with the outcome. Firstly we have to say that Greg was a sincere, likeable, patient and knowledgeable chap. We had been stuck in our ways with our AV camera setting and Greg's first action was to move us over Manual and to then experiment either side of the exposure to produce images that we would normally see with AV. It was a learning curve - I have to admit that the result was initially increased poor images but then some that were spectacular with both underexposed and over exposed backgrounds. That apart we wanted to see some places and Greg kindly drove around to viewpoints that stretched between Simonstown and the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
We came away with some interesting images that were gained in a short time. More than that it revived our interest in exploring our photography and the way we will proceed in the future. Would happily hire Greg again - he reall is the best.
