Several reviews I read here mentioned that the price of admission was $3 earlier in 2023. The price was double during our visit the day after Christmas - obviously still well worth the dollars spent. Admission includes a small booklet that describes each of the 250+ graves here in detail, including cause of death, unless the grave is marked Unknown. I was surprised at how many deaths were by hanging.

The cemetery is built on the side of a hill, and the winding paths are dirt and loose rock. Wear shoes with good traction to avoid sliding down the hill. Near the very bottom of the hill in Row 2 are the graves, side by side, of all three outlaws killed by the Earp brothers at the OK Corral gunfight October 26, 1881. Just down the row from them are the graves of the Halderman brothers, who were hanged in 1900.

Guns and ropes weren't the only cause of death for those buried here. One fell to his death in a mine shaft. Another died when a well that he was digging caved in. Little Eva Waters died of scarlet fever at the age of three months. Reading the grave markers brings wild west history back to life.

One of the primary reasons we came here was to see the Jewish Memorial. Turns out there isn't much to see. There aren't any graves or explanations. There's a lone monument, which you can't even find unless you walk 75 feet beyond the cemetery proper down a dirt road. The memorial is hidden behind some brush. A plaque reads "Dedicated to the Jewish Pioneers and Their Indian Friends." That's it. Nothing more. Disappointing.

The gift shop has a very clean restroom for visitor use. Prices of trinkets sold in the shop are reasonable. This was well worth an hour of our time.

This stop truly is stepping back in history. We enjoyed so much walking around the graves and reading about who was buried there, how they died, why they died, etc. The brochure that was distributed upon entry is incredibly helpful and a great way to truly FEEL the history walking through this graveyard. Many interesting stories.

We also walked down the hill a bit to the Jewish memorial, but there wasn't really anything there other than a fenced in area with some rocks. We wished there was more information about whether people are buried there or why this specific area was designated as a Jewish memorial.

At the top of the hill on the back row were some modern graves that I found equally interesting. There was a grave of a man who was born as a slave and lived until the 1900s. Two other modern grave markers were where people who put in a significant amount of their own time and effort to keep Boothill's history and memory alive. It was a fitting area for them to be buried and I am sure they are smiling down from Heaven knowing they are buried in an area that was so important to them during their life.

Another famous must do place while in Tombstone. Told my son at Knotts, we are going to see the real Bird Cage and Lester Moore. Graveyard is small but sits on a hillside over looking valley below. A few famous people in the graveyard, from that historical time period of 1879-1883. Was a nice day, lady in the gift shop was very nice. They have a local root beer soda, was pretty good. Worth the cover, probably the cheapest thing in Tombstone to do.

Boothill is one of the coolest places that I've been to. The history of the Wild West runs deep here! The guys killed during the Gunfight At The OK Corral are buried here as well as tons of other pioneers of old Tombstone. According to a fellow tourist I met in the graveyard. Boothill at one time was the 2nd biggest tourist destination in the whole state. only ranking behind the Grand Canyon. And if you're into it, I met a few people inside that said it's haunted, and I swear I heard a couple of kids giggling when no one else was around!

This experience was very underwhelming and a total waste of time. It is not worth the $6 entry fee. Save your money!

I got there 15 minutes before it closed...the cashier was kind enough to not charge me the admission fee.
The graveyard is smaller than I expected it to be, but is organized fairly well in multiple rows.
Most of the graves are marked "Unknown"; there aren't as many famous (or infamous) people laid to rest there.
The gift shop (that you have to pass through as you exit the graveyard) seemed well stocked with souvenirs.
Overall a worthwhile visit

Boothill Graveyard lies outside of Tombstone. There are 11 rows of gravestones, many marked unknown, but many with a very colorful history.

The lady at the ticket counter marked up the very important graves (like the clantons and Mclaury's) and the graves with money and ribbons on them because they were law enforcement, like Marshall White who was killed by Curly Bill.

Many are marked unknown but the back of the booklet lists a number of people that were buried there, but they arent sure which grave.

Once you are done in the graveyard you exit through the gift shop. Has a number of interesting books and other items, and the prices were reasonable. We stopped early in the day since this is all outside in full sun.

Wow it was hot... Santa Anna winds were whipping, and for that my wife and I were thankful, because if there was no wind, not sure we'd have taken the time to walk through each of the rows... Even so, it's still pretty facinating to see how many of the residence were killed...sheesh, the reasons for many are downright surprising!
