Get away from the crowds! Stunning walk up to Stepper point from Hawkers Cove. Beautiful views across to Rock & Polzeath. Full of wildlife. Be careful as uneaven ground, close to cliff edges. Visit National Coast Watch hut and Rest A While Cafe for a pit stop.

Spectacular views along this route and onwards towards Padstow. From the top of Stepper Point to the sandy beach on route to the harbour is a joy to behold. Very few moderately challenging bits. Proper walking shoes and windproof jacket is recommended.

Really disappointed with the parking. Nothing for disabled users. Parked at the top of the hill and walked DOWN. Being disabled with breathing problems, if we had been warned, we would never of visited. Even parking at the cafe, you could only drop off and go back up the hill. It was far too much. There are no toilets at all. Will not come again. Such a huge disappointment for part of cornwalls most beautiful but inaccessible places. Wish there was a warning about disabled access.

Padstow is always a brilliant place to visit.
Parking is not cheap especially close to the town. Advisable to use the park and ride.If the ride is not available it's only a short walk to the town.
The harbour area is always bustling with plenty of shops and eateries to tempt you.
There is a good choice of fish and chip shops near the harbour as well as the 'Cornish' pasty outlets.
The walk out of Padstow gives you excellent views of the estuary and Rock on the other side.
If you walk passed the war memorial along the path you will eventually be rewarded with a short descent to the sandy beach, but watch out for the tide.
Certainly well worth a visit !

beautiful walk with amazing views from steppers point, moderately challenging route with hills and lots of shrubbery to get through but worth it all for the glorious view of the ocean 🌊

This is a short section of the South West Coast Path which starts at Padstow and goes around to Trevone Bay. Stunning on a fine day which I was lucky enough to get on the Bank Holiday Weekend

Took a lovely walk along the coastal path as padstow was so busy, we then had a Cornish pasty on the beach which was a pastime thing we did with the kids and walk back through the sea which was stunning, worth the walk for the view .

Just another Cornish beauty spot totally wrecked by irresponsible dog owners throwing their bags of dog excrement in every corner. The bushes are like Christmas trees decorated with pretty little plastic bags full of dog turd.

Lovely peaceful walk from Padstow round to Stepper Point & then on to Trevone. Quite a few people at the Padstow end but on our own for most of the walk so we could enjoy the magnificent views in peace.
Most of the walk was quite gentle although in places the paths aren't wide and there are stiles. Plenty of people carrying babies in slings though.
The walk up to the Daymark at Stepper Point is quite steep but most of the walk is easy.
There wasn't much in Trevone - just one cafe with no loo. The loo is in the carpark & charges 50p!
There's a short walk back to Padstow over the top of the headland though. No views, but quite quick.

Hi can anyone please advise if this walk is suitable with a pushchair at all? How long does it take? We're a young family with 2 and 5yrs old boys, however would love to do the walk if possible! Thanks in advance for all suggestions!
Skrevet 14. august 2017
Great for dogs, but you may need them on a lead if they are not well controlled as the cliff drops are considerable.
But not with a pushchair.

Please could anyone tell me roughly how long this walk is and would it be safe with a baby in a sling? Thank you.
