I can’t fault Ski Mania and in particular George who dealt personally with a last minute impromptu request for a ski lesson. My instructor was Sylvie (apologies if spelling incorrect !) who was an incredibly knowledgeable, patient, skilful and kind young lady who has helped me take my skiing ability and confidence to another level. I can’t recommend her, George and Skimania highly enough. Thank you so much !

Helpful and patient staff. Thanks to George for changing boots for a couple of guests as needed! Ski mania has fair prices and the ski instructors we had were really excellent (Nik, Roman, Wassel, Vasily).

They saved my vacation as they did manage to fix my skis, and also had perfect rent eqq, they were in a perfect condition, maintained well, clean and warm

We were three families with 8 kids aged from 9 to 5 years, all first time skiers and the instructors really looked after them and made the lessons great fun. They were responsive to the different abilities and ages and we were impressed with how they all came on. Some of the kids were speeding down the red runs by the end of the week and they all now have the skiing bug!

Had a great first time experience on skies with Ski Mania! We booked group lessons and were fortunate to have Nicky as our sky monitor. He was extremely diligent, attentive, supportive and patient. After 3 lessons we went on blue slopes by ourselves and made it to the end in one piece! 😂

I can't praise George and team here enough. Amazing service where the team will do anything to help. Open early 8am and close late 7pm so you can always access your shoes or drop off/collect equipment. They will also manage the booking of ski lesson which takes alot of the stress away so you just meet your instructor at the top of the gondola.

We reserved from an application from a well known blogger in Bansko.
First day we arrived we went to confirm the lessons and when we wanted to pay they said the usual thing that everyone says in Bansko now. They don't accept credit cards because their system broke.
We refused to give cash and wanted to pay only with card.
They said ok and after all we had the 3 day lessons and all was good.

Fantastic service. Left our equipment every afternoon at the shop, which is by gondela. As soo. As we walked in the staff took our equipment. And when we entered our equipment was bought straight over every morning.

I had two amazing instructors who helped me get from zero experience to running the difficult blues quite comfortably. I was with Roman for the beginners lessons and he was so lovely and patient. Explained everything very well in terms that were easy to understand and execute. He got the group to do the blue 10 on my fourth day which looked terrifying (I am a complete newbie), but with his guidance we managed to get through and that really gave me the confidence to push myself. Then on my fourth and fifth day I was placed in the intermediate class with Nikki and he really helped me improve my body positioning, spatial awareness, and getting into the rhythm that he keeps talking about. I was still pretty nervous doing the difficult blues but with Nikki’s guidance, I did the 3, 11 and 5 with relative ease.
What I like about their instructors is that they assess the students’ levels at the start of the lessons and sometimes move someone to another class if they think the student is either not quite up to the level or if they’re too advanced for that level. In that way, the students can really get the most of the classes. Also, they only keep a maximum of 8 students per class at a time and sometimes there were just two or three of us even!
Overall, I had an amazing time in Bansko and I have Ski Mania to thank for it. Because of their instructors, my progression from zero to decent skiing and confidence level was pretty quick and I really got to enjoy the slopes by the end of our trip. Thank you!!!

Misho was so helpful to our very large group of skiers. Always had our skis boots and poles ready for us in the morning and always service with a smile

How old do children need to be to get lessons here? My youngest child will be almost 4 for our planned visit but not sure if that is too young?

My only advise would be to check when Bulgaria or bansko has local holidays and avoid this time.
Lift systems to get up mountain are not like in French Austria etc there are massive queues, however once up the mountain it’s fine. To avoid the main gondola queue every day we just jumped in a taxi which they charge 10 lev per person which is quickest way.
If any of you group are needing ski school ski mania will sort it all for you.
