The grounds are absolutely stunning, even in the rain. there were placards at every vine that explained the grapes, and what they were best known for. Because of the weather, we ate inside, and it was still beautiful experience. The food was top-notch, five star and the wine pairing was even better. We met the chef one of us even got a recipe, so far was the highlight of our trip!

Gorgeous facility and gardens with a spectacular patio. The wine and small bites pairing were the highlight of our week long trip. The small plates were some of the best food we’ve ever had! Scott our wine host was very accommodating.

A great time at this winery! This was an add-on to our trip and it was one of the best! We did the wine tasting of 6 wines. Not too over whelming and not too slow! Roberto was our guide as we tasted our wine. He was phenomenal! We weren’t pressured to join their wine club but we enjoyed our experience so much we needed up joining. Great grounds to walk around too! If I ever came back to Sonoma, I would make sure this was on the list!

This is exactly the “estate winery” experience you think of when going to Wine Country. BEAUTIFUL gardens (absolutely must do!) and (6) pours for $35 (best bang for your buck that we did on this trip). They do side by side tastings of the same style of wine (which really helped me narrow down what I liked about the wine and it’s growing location), and they have a picturesque patio that just brings every sip to life. Even if the weather isn’t great, their main hall is majestic for tastings. Our host Erica was incredible and personable and really took into account what wines we did and didn’t care for. She also described everything perfectly and was such a joy to spent an hour with. Will absolutely be coming back next year!

I’ve been to several activities at Kendall Jackson over the years. This particulate event was a garden tour and wine tasting at a 1 pm tasting June 22nd.
There were 5 of us in our party. The other three ladies showed up about 25 minutes late. I recommend, like some restaurants, give them a 15 minute grace period the. Proceed without them and allow them to catch up. Also recommend you ask them to be there 15 minutes beforehand, like other events and tastings I’ve been to in the area
Mathew was excellent and knowledgeable. He got frustrated I know because the three ladies were only interested in selfies and photos of themselves, and one indicated she didn’t like wine. So I think our progress was a little slow and I’m not sure we got the full tour due to their tardiness and lack of interest
After the garden tour we were offered a beautiful shady table in the patio. I’m not sure if we offended the lady who helped us with the wine pouring in some way but she never smiled once and gave little if no explanation of the wines, gave us small pours, and basically was borderline rude. Of course the ladies in the other group were a little critical of the wine, but our group of 5 had no connection with them and were enjoying the experience. Maybe separate the parties in the future so that the person pouring wine doesn’t associate the bad actors in the same group, if that in fact was what it was. She did not tell us about wine club or ask if we wanted to purchase wine. One person in our party asked for an additional pour (as Mathew said we should to to finish wandering in the gardens) but she was told to “go inside”. I was going to giver her a tip but decided not to, as I had to go inside and purchase the wine I wanted.
We attended the wine and food pairing the week before at KJ and the team was professional, helpful, and seemed to enjoy their jobs. I’m not sure if I would pay 55 per person again for 5 people to be treated rudely.

We’re members of KJ’s wine club and always stop for the food and wine pairing when we’re in Sonoma County—which is a long way from Arkansas, where we live! We’re never disappointed. We’ll post photos of our food and the menu, which are great, but the show-stopper is the facility, including the beautiful flowers, gardens, and buildings. The outside seating area is gorgeous. This is a must visit!

During our eight day Sonoma County wine excursion, and our two week vacation to Napa, Sonoma, San Rafael, and San Francisco, we did a tasting at the Kendall-Jackson Estates & Gardens. It was very good. Our "host" was actually the manager of guest relations for Kendall-Jackson. Needless to say, he was totally involved in the community and the wineries...and was extremely knowledgeable of the wineries around him. My wife and I enjoyed our tasting there...and absolutely loved a pizza he recommended. It was delightful, and definitely paired nicely with the wines we tasted. We had a very good conversation about the Kendall-Jackson Company and the opportunities he was looking for, and his considering going to Australia to work at the wineries that Kendall-Jackson has there. During our excellent conversation, he asked what my favorite wine would be. To my answer, he said my perfect wine would be found at "La Crema Winery," which was about 15 minutes from their winery. My wife and I went there, and he was totally correct! People helping people is truly a good thing! I loved the wines at La Crema, and a big thank you to my friend at Kendall-Jackson!

My wife and I just returned from a short visit to Old Town Santa Rosa, Healdsburg, and Safari West. On our last day before flying back to Orange County we were undecided as how to spend our last hours when my wife suggested a lunch & tasting at the Kendall Jackson Winery_
Best move we ever made, as it was a gorgeous day and the seating was on their outdoor patio looking out over the vineyards and garden. Our server and host was Mitch Norton who gave us a brief description & history for both the wine selections and also the luncheon faire that really made it most enjoyable & personable_
We mentioned in passing to Mitch that we were a little tired from all our adventures that we had had over our stay and he suggested a walk in the vegetable gardens and
a seat to rest in one of their adirondack chairs under the shade of a giant oak tree, as he sincerely added, "take your time, we won't chase you out"
It wasn't five minutes and my wife was sound asleep with dreams of our fantastic adventure and it's lasting memories I'm sure!

We will be in Sonoma County on Nov 23 to 25th. Will the winery be open for a tour and wine tasting. Do we have to make an appointment?

If you want to do the food and wine pairings, you should have a reservation, but you wouldn't need one for wine tasting only. Be sure to walk around the gardens---the vegetables that the chef uses are organically grown there, and it is a pretty and interesting walk.
