My son and I were visiting LA to take in a couple baseball games and decided at the last minute to tour the LA Memorial Coliseum. The tour was truly extraordinary. Our tour "guide" was actually one of the organizational leaders, which allowed for an amazing experience. Tina first took us up the Scholarship Tower and to the 1923 Club level. The view of the city and the stadium was incredible. We visited the suites at several levels, the outdoor seating and walked about the Peristyle. No wording I provide here can capture how impressed we were with the experience. Thanks Tina for sharing all the history, the stories about lighting the torch and much more. I highly recommend any true sports fan visit this institution!

Do the tour. It’s amazingly informative plus you get the added bonus of fantastic views of the LA skyline and Hollywood sign (off in the distance) from the top level. Tours are only on Mondays and Tuesdays so plan accordingly.

I had the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum tour on my to do list when visiting LA because of the long history of the venue, and my tour with Leah did not disappoint.
The recent upgrades just add to the already spectacular venue, the tour is thorough and a decent length of time. Leah showed us all the ins and outs of the place and knows her stuff. My family with me walked away very impressed even though I dragged them along.
Do arrive early, we had the old arrival gate on the tickets instead of the new tour entrance but thankfully Leah was waiting for us there just in case. 10/10 would do again.

Not everyday you can walk into a two times Olympiad venue. But thanks to Richard, front gate opens and it was pretty much a private viewing of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The 1920's construction style is certainly imposing. The great entrance flanked with the stones from Coliseum Rome and Altis Olympia Greece. The placards of the Olympians of the 1932 and 1984 Games. It's all history. Don't forget this is also home of Super Bowl, NFL, MLB, USC and a memorial to Los Angeles veterans of World War I.
But it will become a 3 times venue in 2028 when the Games return.

The Coliseum is a huge and legendary venue, home to two Olympics, two Super Bowls, and a number of other historic sporting events. I hadn't been there in many years, so when I went to see the USC-Fresno State game this season, I was pleasantly surprised with the many recent renovations. It is still very much a classic stadium, but the seats, sound system, and jumbotrons are all new. Parking can be difficult and expensive, but you can easily take the Metro E Line to the Expo Park/USC station. From there it's a quick and safe walk to the Coliseum. Overall, a great place to see a football game.

Excellent concert venue. We recently visited LA to see Ramstein at this lovely open air facility. Lots of gates made getting in a breeze. The venue staff were friendly, and the facilities were clean. The historic feel was cool too.

Desafortunadamente cuando pasamos no habia ningún evento, así que estaba cerrado. De todas maneras siendo tan bonito tomamos fotos exteriores. Vale la pena pasar y si pueden entrar a un evento mucho mejor.

We attended a USC football game. We purchased on campus parking through a link on the USC website - a short walk to the stadium. The food concessions were limited. Although hot dogs were listed on the menu at two stands that I visited, neither had a hot dog.

Even though we lost the game and our QB, we really enjoyed the atmosphere. Fans, security, vendors and pretty much everybody was SUPER nice, both before and after the game. I was glad I got to go to a game there while it was still standing and before the new one opened!

It’s probably the last time I will see the Rams at their original home. At the end of 2020 they move to play at their brand new multi-billion dollar home in Inglewood. Where the sound of “Whose house is this...? RAMS HOUSE!!!” will be a chant that makes absolute sense. Built as a memorial to veterans of the First World War in 1921; it will get the opportunity to do what it was designed to one more time in 2028... to host a Summer Olympics. I went along on a beautiful LA Winter’s evening to see the Rams take on the Ravens. Not the result we hoped for. The Ravens looked unstoppable all evening and the Rams were effectively out of play off contention by the end of the evening. But the atmosphere was superb nevertheless and the $14 cans of beer were being washed down in healthy quantities before those cans are recycled and turned into RSJ joints for Inglewood’s new retractable root. Los Angeles Tycoonary at it’s beautiful, lovely, American Dream best. Everyone coming together with smiles on their faces to see a quality of show that only Americans know how to host. Aloe Blacc put on a superb half time show and despite the result already sliding away; the crowd were on the feet with premium beer in hand. The chilli dogs were superb and made out of pure premium 100% beef. They were half the price of the can of beer so I guess everything evened itself out... apart from Jared Goff still hasn’t married me. See you in Inglewood... shout it loud and proud: “RAMS HOUSE!!”... Howay the Lads and we are Geordies!! See you soon Los Angeles or should I say (Geordie Shore)...

Are clear Fanny packs allowed??? I see no Fanny packs but clear bags are okay. Did I find the one product that is a catch 22?

Going to Sunday night game at the Coliseum in December. We are staying down in Oceanside for a lacrosse tournament. What’s the best way to get in to LA and to the Coliseum from somewhere in that Oceanside / Carlsbad area? Drive and park somewhere? Drive to a train station and train in?

The Metro works perfect.
We parked at La Cienega /Jefferson station. Parking House next door, only $3,- for 24 hours.
Buy a TAP Card for $2 and add $3,5 to the card (round trip) and you are good 2 go.

I’m a mom taking my teen son to a 1pm Rams game wondering about parking. How about Pre-paying for the USC McCarthy or Figueroa St structures? How’s the walk to/from the structures to the Coliseum and is it safe for us (I imagine there’ll be lots of other game goers also walking to/from?). Or, should we ditch the car and try for the trains?

As far as I am aware of for sanctions rams events are available for purchase at 3031 S Vermont Ave. I hope it helps there should be plenty of game goers so you should be fine between them and event security. I hope any of that helps you and your son out. The trains are always an efficient route it could save you a lot of frustration during event traffic.

Sounds like a great time. There is entrance right at W 39th street and S Figueroa. It is a big parking structure with gate guides to help ease the path. At least that is what I have used in my experience. Can't recall the toll exactly. Hope that helps and your event is astounding!

ADA accessible parking is available in Expo Park. Marked ADA spaces may not be reserved in advance are are subject to availability based on arrival. Rams permit holders may park in ADA spaces, provided they have a valid ADA placard to do so. Due to an extremely high demand for accessible parking, Expo Park is unfortunately unable to accommodate all of our guests, so please arrive early to ensure that you have a space in a lot. Please arrive with your state issued placard and identification, and parking personnel will guide you to your parking area. Parking rates vary per event.
