Tolle Organisation: Buchung am Schalter, Transfer Shuttle zur Strandstation, Einweisungs- und Sicherheitsvideo, Einweisung auf die schon bereitstehenden ATVs, jede Menge Spaß in den schönen, 10 km langen Sanddünen, Abgabe und Shuttle zum Ort. Richtig klasse!

Let me start by saying that, I had (not anymore) been a happy customer of Steve’s for the last 10 years, which is why I got my team here for a corporate event earlier this week. The experience was a complete opposite this time around, we felt scammed and I don’t think I’m coming back, or recommending anyone to go here. In fact, I’m going to ask people to stay away from this place and go to BJs. There were some serious red flags that we should have caught even before we got on the ATV:
1. One of my colleagues was looking to upgrade to a more powerful ATV, and we were okay to pay the additional charge; and he asked one of the instructors to explain the difference between the 2 ATVs. We were expecting him to talk about speed, control etc. Instead the response was that, the other one has more “expensive parts”. Who says that? Just speaks to the mindset of the people working here, who I dare say, are looking to extort people for money by eating up their deposit?
2. As we were looking to get on the ATVs, the instructor asks us to take the video of the ATV completely transferring the liability onto us. In the past (and in other rental car companies), you would usually have someone from the company walk with the customer around the car and inspect it ‘together.’ That wasn’t the case here and all of our ATVs were stacked so close to each other that it was impossible to do the videos of the front/back of any of the ATVs in its entirety.
We come back after the event, and one of their instructors tells us that the handle alignment for one of the ATVs if off by 0.5 inches and we need to pay for it. We asked him if he was certain that we did it, and his response was, “I can’t be certain, but if you don’t have the video to prove it; then you are going to have to pay.” We were EXTREMELY fortunate that one of the team members had read about their arm-twisting tactics to extort money and we had a close up video of the handle bar which showed that we received the vehicle in the ‘same’ condition as it was returned aka, the handle alignment was off from the start. As soon as we found the evidence, he just drove the ATV out and parked it in-line to give it to OTHER CUSTOMERS. If this was a genuine issue with the vehicle, we would have expected that he would take it out of service and get it fixed. We suspect that they would dupe other customers with the same BS antics.
I’m certain that we will find many customers (from the past) who have been in similar situations. We are considering filing a suit against Steve’s for -
1. My colleague who was on that ATV with a misaligned handle has been complaining of wrist pain right after the ride. He did share that with the instructor as well after the ride.
2. I’m certain that, similar tactics would have caught other unsuspecting customers off-guard.
We will let the investigation takes it course, but we are going to pursue that route.

Came here on a last minute trip. Was able to reserve 3 ATV'S for my wife, daughter and I. Reservation at office was super easy and person at front desk was very polite and professional. Next day we got to check in trailer and the Lady there was also extremely nice and helpful. The process was so easy. The instructor was awesome at explaining how everything worked. Had a blast! Came back check in was easy. When we were leaving my personal truck got stuck. I didn't even ask for help and an employee ran out and helped me get unstuck. The employees are the best. Came back the next day to buy t-shirts and sweaters and Jami was so helpful! Will come back again.

Great experience yesterday from start to finish. It was our first time riding ATVs and we absolutely loved it! Very patient, efficient, polite and knowledgable staff at the office provided answers to all of our first-timer questions, gave clear instructions on the shuttle, etc. We had no issues getting to the right place (although our driver picked up a couple of lost soles on the beach walking more than a mile in the heat to their rental by BJ's, they were not guided properly). Once arrived to the beach check in, it was also a quick process, very clear video instructions in the trailer, sizing for helmet, goggles (they use Lysol generously to clean helmets, gloves and goggles), you may want to bring your own helmet liner in case they are out. Instructor was clear, explained how to operate, demonstrated, gave us good advice, recommended to take a video of the ATV to avoid any concerns later and answered all of our questions patiently. It was a great weekend at the Oceano Dunes - we will be back soon!

I paid for the gloves rental and they didn't provide gloves due to some covid issue and have refused to give me a refund for the cost of the gloves rental for the 4 of us. Rip off!
-They also were vague about the bus pickup and the driver didn't pick us up the first trip. We were so lost about this step we had to call the store back and wait on hold a while of course
-They didn't bother telling us our reserved time wasn't what we reserved but whenever you leave the rental place which almost cost us a few hundred dollars

Jami was very helpful with the reservations! We had so many questions and she was so patient with us. So happy to be able to ride ATV’s on the beach gain!

Great experiences bringing the family down from Santa Cruz to Pismo to rent ATVs over the years. Friendly and helpful customer service, very fair pricing. ATVs are always in great shape and if one is not working properly they willingly swap out for one that is no issues. Highly recommend!

Together with my two best buddies, we used Steve’s Rentals for a two-hour ATV ride. It was great - in every way. The sign-in process was quick & easy. Considering the weekend crowds, they were prompt, efficient & very nice. The equipment is in great shape & the terrain wasn’t too difficult for us novices. We’ll definitely use them again!

We rented 3 ATV’s and had a really amazing morning. We arrived early and had the extra advantage of a relatively quiet beach despite the holiday (12/31/19). My 17 year old son had experience driving ATV’s so could help us when we got stuck and led the way. I noticed that Steve had trucks roaming that were also available if needed. Professionally run by friendly people.
