We had a wonderful tasting here. The tasting room is full of barrels and that wonderful aroma from a barrel room. The wines are excellent and the barrel sample definitely made us want to return to buy some of when it is released. Steve was fun to talk to and informative about his wines and the history of his winery. The whole tasting room staff is pleasant and knowledgeable.

Always wonderful! Visited many times and their reds are the best. Small family run tasting room with friendly personal service without pomposity. Ensemble, my favorite, is their Meritage style wine. Reserve Cabernets are long lasting and I always like the surprise of their Improv. They are a great value for premium wines in Paso Robles.

One who is fond of certain winery might be inclined to hold back an earned mention to keep their favorites out of the limelight, and that is understandable. Here again I call out Steve & Pam's excellent wine and winery because they deserve it.
About their wines: Silky and refined selections. There's nothing queer here as the wins speak for themselves. Though the typical Paso fruit is evident the making of each tames the grape to bring out its elegance. Consistently top award winners across a number of offerings year to year. Winery: Whether you're assisted by Martha or the other very knowledgeable and welcoming gals the experience is down to earth Paso, much like I recall in my earliest days of tasting in Paso in the 1980s. My suggestio[n is to visit the winery, which happily is located just 7 minutes drive west of Spring Street in lower Paso Robles. Also they have built a terrace overlooking the valley for a relaxing view.

We visited Ècluse May 20, 2023. This was our second time. When we visited one year ago we joined the club. The winery is small and you taste in the barrel room. It was a great experience. The wines are excellent. Steve, the owner, is a very nice man who speaks with all the folks in the tasting room. He also gives a taste out of a barrel. It was excellentThe ladies who work there are excellent. Many of the wines are award winers. I would encourage visiting this winery if you go to Paso Robles.

Enjoyed our tasting! Small tasting room with friendly servers. Staff was very attentive. Small family winery. Enjoyable everyday wines!

First, how can you not like a winery that promotes and donates to the local shelters, and has named some of their wines after service dogs? Steve, the proprietor and still hands-on vintner, was so open to all our questions. The wines were very good, and you have a perfect spot to have a picnic with and incredible view. Steve even gave us the names of other local wineries, which we did visit, and they were good suggestions. Nothing stuffy about this place.

We visited Ecluse over the Christmas/New Year holiday & we LOVED it! The wines are all VERY good & reasonably priced. The staff was really friendly. Morgan, who helped us was GREAT!!! The tastings are free & they are dog friendly. I highly recommend stopping at Ecluse.

Ecluse Vineyards has been a favorite wine destination of our group of dear friends for over eight years.
The owners, Steve and Pam Locke,are truly dedicated to their vineyards and their wine.
We visited, tasted new releases with hostess Martha, then picnicked on the patio overlooking the vineyards and hillsides of one of the most amazing wine producing areas in California.
As residents of NORCAL, we are very familiar with all of the central and northernmost wine areas,but as Rhone centric imbibers have found Paso and ECLUSE AS OUR FAVORITES!
We are long standing members of both the new release and library wine clubs. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND ECLUSE FOR WONDERFUL WINE AND MARVELOUS PEOPLE,

Anthony, the winemaker is incredible. We love the private barrel tasting with him. He is so knowledgeable and is making some impressive wines! The winery views from the terrace are spectacular.

We stopped at Ecluse as part of a tour with Wine Wrangler. This is a smaller winery and we got to meet the owner Steve Lock. Steve walked us through the production areas of the winery and explained their wine making process to us. He stayed through the tasting and explained the wines and the winery in general. We really enjoyed the wines, especially the Blind Dog and Improv.
