Garden valley ranch is filled with such beautiful and fragrant roses. Jessica gave us a very informative tour of the grounds which included a rustic carriage house and cottage. We attended a private evening event that included strung lights, fire pits, photo booth, oyster bar, and an amazing guitarist. The first floor of the carriage house had a wine bar and appetizers and the guest moved to the 2nd floor for a quaint and intimate dinner. This place has so much to offer for any kind of event: wedding, birthdays, anniversaries and holiday parties. I highly recommend coming out for a tour if you are looking for a special venue....they are also very dog friendly!
I can't wait for the new seasons of roses!
And they also provide different flower workshops which include wreath making, flower crowns, and wearable flower jewelry. Check out their website!

Beautifully manicured gardens, blossoming roses, cosy lodging, delicious fresh food and friendly staff make this a magical place for a weekend romantic getaway. I gathered that the owners bought the property only recently, and are noticeably spending a great deal of attention and effort improving the place. This ranch is a short drive away from the town of Petaluma, which offers a superb selection of restaurant and shops. The staff are super friendly and treated us like their guests at home. The experience was way beyond what we had expected........truly fantastic!

Garden Valley Ranch has been under new ownership since May 2017 and so far it seems they are doing an incredible job. The gardens are incredible, the cottages are ultra charming and Petaluma is in a great spot within greater Sonoma County. The town of Petaluma has lots of wonderful restaurants, antique stores and local gems. Petaluma is also nestled in an ideal location within Sonoma County and a short drive to Sebastapol, Bodega Bay, Napa, Sonoma, Santa Rosa, and too many other Nor Cal treasures to name. Don't miss the opportunity to stay at Garden Valley Ranch if you can book it. It is truly MAGICAL!

This is a wonderful location and they also are available as a wedding venue. I took a couple of tours and also attended a special event at Green Valley Garden Ranch. They used to have a nursery where you could also purchase roses but I think it closed down.

This place is very beautiful, but way too expensive for what you recieve! You'd think if you rent the property, you would get the cabin so there would not be a couple not part of the party at your party, but no that's an extra $400 on top of a $6,500 fee! And if you go over guest count by 1 person you get charged your $1000 deposit! The owner (Mark) lives on the property so don't pass the 9:59 cut off or you will pay!! If you are paying that much $ what's a half hour?? Obviously $1000! NOT WORTH IT!!

What a beautiful surprise. I almost didn't visit this place. I was here near the end of rose season, but there were still myriads of beautiful blooms. The ranch also has a garden of scented shrubs, a goldfish pond with a pretty bridge over it, and statues and benches throughout. It's a beautiful wedding venue. The bride enters under a colonnade, walks up a grassy aisle surrounded by roses, and up to a beautiful pergola. There's no picnicking, and no food for sale, so eat before or after your $5 tour.

This place was an unexpected by recommended stop for us as we were driving out to Napa. We we SO happy we stopped at the Garden Valley Ranch, this place is breathtaking with some of the most beautiful specimen of roses you will ever see. We were the only ones there on a Wednesday morning and roamed the grounds at will for $5 each. We honestly could have stayed there all day long walking the grounds and smelling the roses- so special and memorable! I recommend this stop to ANYONE. We went the second week of May and the roses were insanely gorgeous and all in bloom!

This beautiful old ranch features with charming Victorian buildings is the site for " true, natural and chemical free cut garden roses with over 60 varieties including very fragrant English style, extrordinary Hybrid Tea and special Spray roses. " It is a popular site for weddings and special events with charming background of rose trellis and raised beds for photos. The focus is decidedly English and they feature many antique style roses that are hard to find elsewhere.
Self guided tour is $5.00, guided tours are $10.00. Prices may change, please check. I recommend the guided tour as it takes you into restricted areas such as the Koi pond.

The best time to visit is Mother's day or shortly thereafter when the roses are blooming. But it is an excellent source for rose lovers anytime of the year. They offer classes in floral arranging and other topics during the year. Check the website!
