Markedet LA County Fair ble etablert i 1920-årene i Pomona i California, og er like mye en feiring av Californias landbrukshistorie som det er god, gammeldags sommermoro. Karuseller, opptog og markedsdyr er vanlig her. Her finner du også alle typer fritert mat og grillede råvarer du kan tenke deg. Markedet har også inkorporert noen mer moderne elementer opp gjennom årene, som en lokal kunstutstilling, og en serie av sommerkonserter med artister som Patti Labelle og Lynyrd Skynyrd. I went to a concert at the LA fair for the first time last night. The concert was great. Finding the way to get to the concert there, if you have never been, is quite a challenge! What lot do you park at? How do you get from the lot to the concert? I wanted to post here to help someone in the future! The fair grounds are huge...we learned how to proceed and I wanted to share with all of you...
Park in the BLUE GATE! Once you park you can either walk towards the pop-ups where the tram will be or walk directly towards the fairgrounds. Once you walk towards the fairgrounds you go through a tunnel to enter the fairgrounds. You will have to have any bags you bring checked through security. Once on the other side of the tunnel walk down to the right. Look for signs that say grandstand. Go past the building and enter at the far end! I hopes this saves someone time in the future!

One of the biggest fairs around with lots of exhibits, plenty of rides for all ages and an overwhelming array of food and snack choices. If you have kids and enjoy nature, be sure to visit the great outdoors area presented in cooperation with the US Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management. It has live, small wild animals; forestry and firefighting displays; wild burros and horses; log sawing; magic shows; a supervised tree climbing experience with harness and ropes; and nature-oriented kids activities.

Prices are high for parking, entry, rides and food. A lot of things are no longer there. At least two vendor buildings were closed up. Part of the Millard Sheets building is closed up. Part of the Floral building is closed up. Being in May now after so many years of being in September seems to be a bad move. Its definitely not the same now.

They should just shut the Millard Sheets room down if this is all the interest they have in it. Fairgoers pay good money and this is now a joke each year it gets worst not one single thing on the floor entire room empty just some boring things on wall. I remember taking a picture of the beautiful 1950s furniture display they had there some 15- 20 years ago now its nothing in comparison. Every year was fantastic stuff not the last 5 or 6 years just worst every year. LA fair reps should be ashamed to show such a nothing display!

been going here for 69 yrs. it used to be great. but not anymore. way over priced food. and no more good selections on their food either.

Malé městečko Pomona. Velká pouť v areálu za městem. Obrovské přilehlé placené parkoviště, není problém se zaparkováním. Do areálu se platí vstupné, nemůžu si vzpomenout kolik, ale nebylo to hrozné. Pouť je obrovská. Spousta stánků, promo akcí, kulturních akcí, atrakcí,kolotočů aj. Zábava na celý večer. V halách různé výstavy - my zde byli v září, takže jedna výstava byla o haloweenu, o zemědělství aj.

I was invited to the LA county fair, and only ever having been to one before (Georgia) had to accept. We knew it was going to be a hot day, the weather forecast predicted something like 103 degrees.
When we got there my first impression was "Wow". It is huge, noisy, buzzing, and the smell from the different food vendors was something else. So park up, walk to the entrance, and then an assault on the senses. Wild West show, Country Dancing, more varieties of food thatn I can remember.
It was a long day, lots of walking and plenty to see and do. I liked the halls with different vendors in. Had a few freebies, bought a few things, plenty to eat and drink. I could have quite happily kept walking round for hours, as each time I turned a corner, there was something new to see.
It was a great day out, Thoroughly recommended.

Had not been to the LA County Fair in years, but wanted to go back and check it out. It turned out to be one of those 90+degree days, and the air conditioned pavilions were a great break from the weather. I enjoyed seeing all the artwork and collections presented by the school children. Great talent.
The cost of parking and admission was reasonable, but the food and drink cost was pricey. Luckily, I had done my research and knew that some of the food vendors offered a special value meal option. This was not well advertised, but was a perfect option. I don’t think many people were aware of this meal option.
If you like fair rides there were tons and the cost was reasonable. That being said, I could see how a family could easily drop a few hundred dollars when you total everything up.
It was a fun afternoon, and will go back.

My pictures show the best things about this years fair. Nowadays they don’t advertise much and it’s getting to be a chore even for the organizers to feign interest. Still a great place for fun and games; unfortunately, fairs like these seem out of touch with the changing times. I hope they improve for the years to come because I don’t want to see the LA County Fair go away.

I'm senior with special diet, due to a kidney transplant and Diabetes, are we allow to bring our own food and drink.

Please note this event ended at the end of summer. During its operation weekday admission prices were $14, $8 for kids & $10 for senior citizens (60+). Weekends were more expensive at $20, $12 for children & $15 the set rate for those aged at least 60. I visited on Labor Day; even though it was a Monday it was considered a premium price due to the holiday. Those under the age of 6 are admitted free of charge. Not included in these amounts is a $1.50 fee to the City of Ponoma.
