Tim Nuss at Eye on Wine tours is an awesome guide to a great personalized wine experience. As he grew up in Napa, he knows all the ins and outs of Napa and Sonoma with great relationships with numerous winery owners, wine makers and their staff. We developed a 5-day tour itinerary with Tim, including wineries and many of our meals. Tim also arranged for a phenomenal dinner at our AirBNB with an exceptional chef and fabulous wine pairings. Our group of eight was amazed at how much we learned, laughed and relaxed with great wines, remarkable people and breathtaking scenery. Most of the wineries we visited were off the beaten path and our hosts were eager to share their passion for making great wines and enjoy them with new friends. It was an exceptional experience enhanced in every regard by Tim’s engaging personality and genuine interest to make the tour special for each person. We found Gordy and his tour service through close friends that recommended him. There were a total of four of us and this will go down as one of my best vacation days ever! We hit three family wineries and loved them! At two of the three we were doing tastings with the owners. I will only look to do wine tours this way! I can't recommend enough. Just to compare we rented a limo the following day and went to more commercial wineries, which were good, but the tour with Gordy was easily 10 times better!

We spent two full days in Napa and this was our first time there. We were introduced to Gordy by a good friend of mine who had been to Napa numerous times. Of those two days, we decided (per Gordy's recommendation) to spend a day with big labeled wineries for the tour of their vineyard, production and process - educational tour (Mondavi, SilverOak, Inglenook, Grgich, etc). We spent an entire day with Gordy on our second day. He gave us a totally different flavor of Napa. We got to meet the highly private, smaller, family-run vineyards that produce the best quality wines that never left the region unless you know them personally. It was a unique experience that was different than the big winery. You get to visit their houses, their vineyards, their life, their family histories. We met the best people and drank the best Cabernet and Zin and Merlot. Gordy is so knowledgeable about the regions, families, stories and he made sure that we were well hydrated, well fed, etc. I highly recommend him if you never tour Napa before of if you have not seen these private winery before. His fee is extremely reasonable for what you are getting. He holds the key to the best wine in the area

We had fun with Gordon, who was very knowledgeable about Napa Valley, the history of the region, who's who, and the economy of wine-making. His insight was entertaining and interesting - you won't get this from a bus tour, trust me. We went to several boutique wineries, completely off the beaten path and only accessible with a private guide. We were hosted by family members and pets. Gordon is also a boutique wine maker, himself. We have been to Napa several times and Gordon's tour was a really nice contrast to the mainstream Napa experience. This is a really nice thing to do if you've already been to the big-name wineries.

Our party of 4 booked 2 days with Gordy. Alex drove us the first day and Gordy had us on the second day. He took care of all the planning and made the 2 days completely stress free. Booking the tours through him were easily the highlight of our trip and he's the first call I make on our return trip to Napa.

Gordy is simply the best! We spent 2 full days touring some of the most boutique and beautiful vineyards and wineries across the valley. In nearly every instance, we met the winemaker and/or owner, and every single one mentioned that they only allow tastings for a select few tour guides, but Gordy is always at the top of the list. As first timers in Napa, we were blown away with his knowledge, professionalism, and friendliness! An all around great guy, no doubt we will be returning ASAP to tour with Gordy!

Honestly I was a little nervous to start this trip off. First time to Napa and a huge wine enthusiast so much so that you might be shocked to know my age. I found out about Gordy online randomly when I found out about his estate, Witchery. Tell Gordy Greg told you about it and it will make his day. He is extremely passionate about the wine industry and took us to some of his family friends estates and they were phenomenal!
Gordy ended up taking to four different locations were we learned about the wine growing and making part of the business from the owners and winemakers. Additionally we were able to try is Witchery Proprietor Reserve (which I highly recommend!!!). Overall the experience was amazing, next time we come to Napa I will be doing multiple days with Gordy, it is worth it!
