If you are walking along the (nice) Santa Clara Creek walk, or visiting the Luther Burbank Home & gardens, it would be worth detouring over to this. Appears to only be open when rented for events

It is kinda cool to see this place, since the entire church was built out of one tree. It is also a great place for a rental

The Church is located at Julliard Park which is a nice, medium sized park in southern Santa Rosa. The building itself is very cool, very creative. The park itself is good for kids with plenty of room for frisbee, picnics, etc.

The building is an awesome testament to one person's vision. Although small, it's still hard to comprehend that it was built using only 1 redwood tree. It's certainly worth a visit to take in some history of our beautiful county.

Built as the local Baptist church in 1873, this building is no longer a church and instead is owned and operated by the city, used for events and leased out to anyone who wants to use it for weddings, parties, or anything else. Unfortunately, it is rather poorly utilised by the city and not ordinarily open to the public unless it is open for a rare public event or one hires it for an event. However, it is beautifully restored and maintained inside and out, the interior lovely and the original stained-glass windows still intact.
More than its architectural qualities or age, the church is notable for famously being, as the name suggests, made out of one single enormous redwood tree felled in the area of nearby Guerneville, then a major logging town. Robert Ripley, creator of Ripley's Believe it or Not!, was a native of Santa Rosa (and he's buried here with his parents), his family used to go to church in this building, and it figured as one of his earliest Believe it or Not! stories when he was just starting it. For some years, it used to house a Robert Ripley museum but that is no more.
The building is now attached to the large and beautiful Juilliard Park, the entrance facing the park. It used to be at the corner of Ross St and B St downtown but in about 1959 it was saved and rolled down here. It thus is a short walk from the core of downtown and also good to visit along with Juilliard Park, the SOFA neighborhood right next to the park, and the nearby Prince Memorial Greenway, Gateway Park, city hall, and Luther Burbank Home and Gardens, all within a block of this building.
