Was here last weekend for a concert. We had tickets at section 106, row 5 which was lower in the stadium. The view was great - when I could see through all of the people! The seats (bench with numbers on them) were really tightly packed. Everyone stood and was able to rock back and forth, but no dancing room. They wouldn't allow us in the aisles. It was incredibly humid and hot, which made it feel rather claustrophobic. Out of the three nights I went, I left my seat and found another area with more breathing room. Other than that; the stadium is really nice and I would imagine pretty great views from most places. Lovely that it is outside so that the clouds (and a bit of rain) could come in, as well as the Lunar moon. Getting in and out of the stadium was a huge challenge. Several hours to get from the stadium to our hotel (20 minutes away) due to traffic jams. Food and drink offerings were good. Staff was nice. Cool buildings.

THE best college football venue. No one else in the world like Folsom Field. Climb up to section 217 and look at the Flatirons sitting over campus. Go in to the historic landmark of Balch Fieldhouse to pick up a beer in a sustainable cup you can take home. Stand in the student section before the game for the deafening chant of "WE WANT RALPHIE". Walk around the beautiful Fall campus afterwards as everyone pours out. Folsom Field should be on every college fan's bucket list

I've been to many games at Folsom Field. CU plays in one of the most beautiful settings in all of college football and it's a must if you're a college football fan. The stadium seats maybe 50-ish thousand people so it's not a big stadium. The views from all seats are good but the view from the east side, watching the game with the mountains as your backdrop, is pretty spectacular.

We are CU supporters as both daughter and son-in-law are graduates of this fantastic university. But we recently attended the CU-USC game and were very disappointed (read upset) about the low level of sportsmanship. The Old Fieldhouse on the west side is a huge fire trap, this needs to get on a capital improvements project. The visitors are relegated to small corner in the NW side of the field, where the bleacher seats are so narrow, a normal person (do not even consider a large to XL size person) could never fit. We witnessed ROW 7 get to the point where there was not even 1/8 inch left. We were lucky to book 6 seats for 5 people, rented the stadium chairs (which help greatly in establishing your space), and barely had room. So that means the seat spacing should be increased by a minimum of 1/6 (read 16.67%). The level of sportsmanship was so low, there were several CU fans with Triple X rated speech in front of the family crowd. Come on Buffs, you can do much better.

I had high hopes for Folsom Field and I felt kind of let down. Maybe I went to CU on a bad night. It started badly when I was served some awful pizza. The chicken tenders I had weren’t much better. Then Ralphie didn’t run before kickoff. The facility has seen some improvements lately but it seems like you need to be a rich booster to use them. I paid $25 to have access to a rooftop and that was nice. I wish I would have stayed there. Plus, they need a way to slow down beer sales a touch. Lots of drunk people tend to ruin football games.

I have been to CU Football games here and wow! It is a beautiful sight. If in Boulder stop in and see it. The entire campus is gorgeous.

The concert was excellent. The venue, outside was great! Beautiful scenery, shakedown street was perfect. Getting in and out of the venue with that amount of people was a hot mess. And yes it was scorching hot in the sun. We paid $30 to parki in one of the lots. We tailgated by the car and went in and out of the AC because of the heat. We waited until the lines dwindled down to go into the concert which means we missed the first song and a half walking to find our seats. The seats are all bleachers, I didn't like at all but hey it's a college stadium. We left before the concert was over because I do not like being shoved in big crowds. Good thing we did they people at our hotel told us it took 45 minutes to get out of the stadium, and 45 minutes to pull out of the parking lot. We missed all of that chaos.

I officiated football in the Big 8 Conference for 15 years before Colorado left when the Big XII was formed. Always my favorite place to be a part of the "college football environment."

Watched CU beat New Hampshire 45-14 on 9/15/18 from 3PM - 7PM; At 2:30 go into the field house on the west side next to the Stadium to hear the CU band play school fight songs before the game. Lots of fun. Was a very hot day; high was 91 degrees and inside the fieldhouse probably 100 degrees with no a/c; we had seats on the 50 yard line on the shady at 3PM west (visitor) side: section 106, row 32, seats 7 & 8; $150 each. There are no water bottle filling stations...just old fashioned drinking fountains. Stadium is hard metal bench seats with no seat back; you can rent attachable cushioned seats with back for $8 before you go inside the stadium. Can't bring in seat cushions that have zippers or compartments; security very strict. East side was in full baking sun, probably 100 degrees. Team mascot, Ralphie, a 1000 pound female buffalo, runs onto the field leading the football team at the start of the game and start of the second half. She stays in an air conditioned travel trailer at the north end of the field. Overall was a fun game. Just pick your seats carefully.

We're Coming this July'23 to Folsom Field from Chicago to see the final tour of DEAD & CO! It's my first concert since the pandemic started. I guess I'm cracking the seal wIdE open!
My bf surprised me with tix.I'm excited and nervous at the same time. Never been there and I have no idea what to expect or even what to wear🤪. I know i have to bring a clear bag/purse, but any other suggestions or tips for this venue?

Hi, Where outside were the seat cushion rentals?
Were they available in many places or just one?
Was there a long line or was it easy to get?
Once inside, did you have an assigned spot on the bleacher bench to put your rented cushion?
Were you able to leave the cushion on the bench and go to the restroom, or did you have to keep it with you at all times?
We will be there for the Dead & Co concerts this summer and hope to rent cushions with backs.

I went for Dead & Co last year. I came from California and had never been there before. It seems disorganized and confusing to me. I went in a handicapped entrance where there was no line, but, I had to walk around the whole stadium to get to my seats. The other part of our group, who live in Boulder came in through a different entrance. They didn't make it to the seats until about 4 songs into the show. Security was so long, but I was told that screening was minimal. The bench seat has an assigned number. I never saw cushion rentals, but those metal benches were very uncomfortable. Being a Dead show, people are standing up most of the time (but I had my leg in a splint) and I don't think anyone would mess with a cushion if you leave it at your seat

Yes they rent seats that fit onto the hard benches. These have a back as well as cushion.
Worth getting as benches are uncomfortable when sitting for long time.

Sit on the east side of stadium for views of western mts. views are great all over town... you'll see alot of views everywhere you go.

Greetings,
I recently purchased 3 ADA tickets from someone who purchased them as his daughter is handicapped.
He said he called Folsom and asked if he could sell the tickets as he has to cancel. He said the box office person said as long as ticket is purchased it may be sold. He sent his receipt for the tickets as well
I am checking to see if this is correct before we head out to see the DSO show on 7/3/316

I think each venue is distinct in how they handle this type of situation, but we recently had a similar experience at Red Rocks and they came up the same answer.

My wife is on oxygen and can walk short distances. Is there anywhere close to the stadium that she can be dropped off. Will she be able to bring in her oxygen equipment? How about a walker, can she bring it in and store it anywhere?

Yes, there is ADA accessibility even with the construction. If you have a car tag security will let you through and direct you where to go.
