Scheduled an appointment at spa less than 24 hours ago. Did not realize I booked for today meaning to book next month. Front desk called and said they understood the mistake and would re book for correct date. Manager called back and insisted on charging for full amount of service. Day was completely open less than 24 hours ago, but she insisted they were now on a waitlist. Understand a cancelation fee but charge for full amount seemed unreasonable. Canceled future appointment given her attitude.

Stayed at the Madeline for 5 nights. On my second last day i called to book an appointment for the last day. They confirmed it. Turns out they never actually put it in their system. Heather was very apologetic on the phone so that’s cool but that’s not cool. I was looking forward to a good massage after 4 heavy ski days and all i got was I’ll give u 20% off if u come tomorrow.
A friend told me the spa next door at Fairmont is much better. Will try that next time.

It’s not the largest of spas but the staff were very friendly and it’s nice to have a place for a massage in your hotel. There’s a steam room and a jacuzzi (which you can access even if you don’t use the spa).

Fue muy lindo quedarnos por casi una semana en el Hotel Madeline en Telluride. Es un hotel de montaña muy cálido, las habitaciones son grandes y súper confortables. Nos sentimos muy cómodos. Quizás los puntos más flojos que tiene el hotel es el sistema de climatización que es un poco antiguo y hace mucho ruido encendido. El otro punto flojo es el desayuno, que es demasiado sencillo para un hotel de su categoría. Para pedir opciones a la carta hay que salir del hotel y tomar el desayuno en un café al lado.
Lo mejor del hotel es el spa, gym y piscina. Les recomiendo regalarse un facial treatment con Meredith Muller. Meredith es una experta profesional en cosmetologia. Su servicio fue excelente! El spa es de vanguardia total. Los productos que utilizan son increíbles! Me gusto mucho vivir esta experiencia.
Lo mejor del hotel es el spa, gym y piscina. Les recomiendo regalarse un facial treatment con Meredith Muller. Meredith es una experta profesional en cosmetologia. Su servicio fue excelente! It was my first time in Telluride and, as a result, I was not familiar with the time involved in getting from one place to another. I had scheduled a hair appointment at The Madeline and discovered that I was not going to be able to make the appointment and arrive at the wedding I was attending on time. ( Very fun riding gondolas but need to allow a lot of extra time).
Bottom line is the spa has a 24 hour cancellation policy. My problem was that I was notified past the 24 hrs. that I was not going to have the time to make my hair appointment, dress and reach the gondola in time for the wedding. I called the spa salon to cancel and explain my issue and suddenly the nice demeanor changed to rude ‘oh too bad.’ I asked if I would be assured my appointment would not be delayed and maybe I could try and make it. Oh no we can’t do that. So, they can run late and that’s ok? Needless to say I’m out $85 which for a teacher is a lot.
This probably is petty to most and I should have known better. What upset me was the rudeness I encountered.

There are plenty of other 5 star spas in town that deserve your money more than these people. One of the most humiliating customer service experiences of my life.

I am not a stranger to spa treatments. I know when I have an esthetician who is experienced, and it appears they are just trained. I booked and paid for a service, only realized after I left that I was not given the full time paid for, and had to fight with the manager to be heard, and it was only sorted out by customer service.

I was staying in Telluride for my 50th birthday and after reviewing the various spa options chose to visit the Spa Linnae in Hotel Madeline.
I made a reservation for 3pm and was advised that we would be able to use the hotel pool after our treatments as we planned on staying at the hotel until early evening, when we would travel the short distance to Allred's restaurant.
As a treat I had opted for the Mountain Love Journey package for my husband and I to share, which involved exfoliation, mud (loved the mud!) a steam shower, a salt bath and a massage. This was not an inexpensive option at $650 plus tip.
The spa itself is beautiful and tranquil. Service was polite albeit slightly formal.
We enjoyed the treatments in the Couples Suite, as well as the champagne and chocolate strawberries that were part of the package.
However we had a couple of irritations and a major disappointment. The first irritant was that the jets in the spa bath in the Suite were out of order and the second was that the locker code pads were tempramental and on two separate occasions I had to find a member of staff to open my locker for me.
However my big bugbear is the fact that we were advised immediately following our treatment that we had to vacate the spa changing/locker rooms. As the swimming pool, which we had been looking forward to visiting had no changing facilities, this meant that there was no practical way for us to enjoy the pool as this would have meant going on to the restaurant in our bathing suits.
Naturally we wanted to shower and dress after our treatments. I needed to wash my hair as it was covered in mud. We were told we had five minutes to get changed before the facility was closed. Five minutes !!! Surely a more customer friendly approach, if it was indeed necessary to close the spa changing rooms, would have been to offer us use of a hotel bedroom so that we could get showered and dressed at a more appropriate pace. The hotel was half empty so this was a realistic option. But no, I left the spa with wet hair and no make-up. On what was supposed to be such a special day for me. I was rather upset.

My wife and I opted for the 90-minute deep tissue massage and were beyond pleased. The atmosphere is very calming, as soon as you walk into your respective lounge. Flavored water and a variety of teas are offered before being ushered to the massage room. After 10 days of hiking, biking, fishing, etc, we were ready for a little indulgence and this did the trick. We both left feeling like incredibly relaxed. It was actually hard to leave!
I also understand that plans to build an entirely new spa at the Madeline Hotel are currently in the works, which I'm sure will only add to the experience once finished. My only hang-up is there was a large soaking tub, sauna, and steam room that we were never offered. Even if it added to the cost, we would've been interested in having that experience as well. Overall, we were quite happy and would definitely recommend!

I had a manicure and pedicure with Tina at the Hotel Madeline. Both my mani and pedi were excellent. Tina is very professional and does a wonderful job. The spa facility was very relaxing and comfortable. I would definitely go there again.
