Tripadvisors tilnærming til anmeldelser

We parked in the lot across the road from the trail. Looked at the view from the top.
He was unable to get down to the main trail, knowing it would be hard for him to get back up.
At first it isn't bad, then the trail turns & it's rocky & rooty all the way down. It's still very short - about .1 miles.
We got there around noon & there were people swimming & enjoying themselves.
The falls are very pretty, even in August & were worth climbing back out to the road!

Fall is across from the parking lot. You do need to go down a very short incline, across a little wooden bridge and the to really see it you need to go down a steep rocky sloped area. I have a bad knee & made it down & up, but there’s no handrails after a certain point so I was using trees as support when I could. It’s really not far. Less than .01 mile. It’s a lovely fall and only took about 10-15 to see and be back at our car .. I like to take photos so could be quicker for others.

My family- husband and kids aged- 8,6,2 all went to explore. We parked in the nicely paced lot across the street from the falls. There were 2 Porto potties there on this trip date. Went across street and saw false from top down. Going down was ok. There are some rails and stairs but most is roots and rocks on a decent slope. We held the 2yr olds hand 90% of the time on this walk. The area below the falls can be reached by another entrance by car if you didn’t want to walk. But that was the easy walk. From the bottom the park has a flat area with Pinic tables and charcoal grills. This also where the covered bridge is a board with information & a scan me QRcode to access the map- I would have liked a printed one posted on the bulletin board as well. We hiked let me say it again we hiked the orange trail and the terrain is rugged with rocks and roots, boulders, downed trees that you must navigate. We a storm potential so we didn’t stop at the devils oven and it was strenuous as it is. The devils oven is off the orange path but still a bit of a juke then you turn around and come back to get the trail again. It was a lot of uphill for quite sone time. We also skipped the hike to the vista and back. The trails better at the top coming back down the loop. It did rain on us a 1/4 mile or less from the end to the bridge. Wished we had moved the car after looking at the falls. We did see people of all ages and dogs on the trail so it can be done but I’d say it’s a moderate level hike. We spent a few hours doing this trail

A wonderful and beautiful day trip but be careful at night. Went on the whitch hazel trail (where the devils oven is) and saw big dog prints heading in the direction we had just came from around sundown, which is to be expected. Of course, we spent the night without doing any research and heard someone speaking to us in the middle of the night. When morning came, we checked the ground around our campsite and found deer prints, large dog prints all around us, hopefully raccoon prints near our heads, and last but not least, a single set of footprints just outside our tent. None coming or going. Honestly loved the thrill but it is not for fait of heart. 10/10

The falls were amazing and right across from the parking lot. Just a short hike down to the bottom and you can even explore around the top of the falls. Definitely worth the drive.

Wish we had more time to explore. We love our waterfalls and this one was amazing. Wish there was handicap accessibility for trails

It is worth a trip to Devil's Hopyard State Park simply to see the lovely cascading Chapman Falls. After entering the park turn at the sign for Chapman Falls and park in the lot. Across the road and just a few steps down through the woods one will find the delightful falls.

Just park your car and cross the road to this beautiful waterfall(chapman Falls). We went here on a rainy day, so worth the drive.

Beautiful time of the year to see the falls. The trails are well marked and some easier than others, but worth the walk.

The park has plenty of trails for people of all levels. There are forest, hiking and view trails in addition to fishing, camping and picnicking...and seeing beautiful waterfalls. We liked the two mile Millington Trail Loop which I'm told is considered to be a moderate hike.

The park is open, but they are doing some work so you may need to enter in a different location. Check out their website - of which i can't post here.
