While it is not easy to get down to, the waterfall is among the beautiful places we have ever seen. Definitely worth the difficult trek!

Absolutely stunning! Lots of high steps to get to it. Be sure to wear something on your feet when walking through the little stream to get to it!!!!

The Tukad Cepung Waterfall is a good place to cool off on a hot day. The nice pictures comes at a price as nobody tells you that you have to work for thise beautiful pictures. After a steep 15 minute walk down, it was very busy with a small pool and 3 small waterfalls at the bottom. It can be very tiring walking up and down. Foot traffic would also be busy during the walks up and down the place. Sandles and an umbrella is a must for the rainy season, as you are walking barefoot on rocks to the fall. They do however sell sandles and towels at the premises prior to descending the steps and small outlets along the descent for souvenirs and sandles and towels and restaurants. There were toilets available at the top of the entrance with monetary donation for use. They were however not of the best hygiene.

What is beautiful, more beautiful and... most beautiful? That is very personal and depends enormously on what you have seen before on this globe. On photos this waterfall seems quite imposing but in reality it is a waterfall about 12 meters high. Now, the road to it leads along fairly large stairs and is quite intensive. You definitely have to have water shoes / sandals with you, you have to wade a few tens of meters through the running water to discover the waterfall yourself, in the middle of the rock and caves. I think it's quite rewarding, not least because of the tropical greenery in which the scene takes place. Ticket fee=30k.

Beautiful waterfall.
Once u get at bottom there is a stream of water from which u have to walk.
The pathway to the bottom is steep but has railing to catch.
Carry extra clothes and shoes. Changing place is there in between.
The stream of water like a river is very interesting to walk.
There is a very small waterfall in a cave in the opposite direction of tukad cepung once u are at the bottom

I wonder...did any of the people including the woman in scanty bikini with fringe and full face of makeup pout and posing and doing photo shoot actually SEE or feel the beauty of this place? A stunning waterfall ruined by queues of people glued to their phones taking pictures of the experience instead of HAVING the experience. Once we went in the other direction to the less INSTAGRAMMABLE area of the falls it was so peaceful and lovely...got to see gorgeous local Bali teens frolicking in the pool. So natural and alive. No posing or selfies just having fun. This is a lovely place (minus the self obsessed tourists) Go early in the morning or at a quiet time of year and you will have an amazing experience.

Lots of stairs, muddy paths and climbing along rocks in the river to see a small waterfall.
Then Aling Aling, Kabto Lampo and Tegenungan are definitely much more worthwhile and much more accessible!

on our tour of Bali we visited some waterfalls.
This was one of our favorites as it was different from the others due to the location in a cave/ravine.
When the sun shines, the reflections of light are beautiful.
The path to the waterfall leads down steps, in between a short distance along a straight path and finally a short distance through the gorge. So be sure to take waterproof footwear or walk barefoot. The descent was not really exhausting for us with moderate fitness levels

Very easy to access with children, only about 200 steps down and up. Downstairs provide special anti-slip swimming shoes (found in sports shops), because the ground is wet and you walk in the river (Tukad) or on wet rocks. Very nice waterfalls (there are two).

Nothing special. A physically very demanding descent down the steep stairs (forget it if you have knee problems) for a very modest experience of a little rain.

is it possible to arrange a commitment ceremony here for a newlywed couple on honeymoon ??
Skrevet 27. september 2020
Hi! I am not in the best physical fitness shape and was wondering how many stairs there are to the waterfall? Is it quite hard to climb back out?
Skrevet 11. januar 2020
With knee problems I managed to get down to the cafe area and the rest of the family descended further to the waterfalls and pools. But even though they are very fit, they were exhausted when they returned back up.

Hi, can we get to this waterfall with a 5 month old on my husband in a baby carrier? Please let us know.. the place looks magical but I am not sure if the hike is possible with baby. Thanks!
Skrevet 19. oktober 2019
Yes it is possible, the stairs are steep sometimes, but if you are able to do it by yourself, then it should not be a problem to do it with a 5 month old in a baby carrier.

Hello, I was thinking to go first thing in the morning to beat the crowd# but some lighting is fine, or go late in the afternoon around 4pm
Which times do you think is better in terms of lighting/crowd?
Skrevet 13. oktober 2019
Hello... The best time to go there by avoiding the crowd is in the morning. We should be there at 06:30 am is perfect time. Where are you stay in bali??
If you need some help to drive there and visiting some nice places, you can contact me via whatsapp: +6282147559994.
Thank you
Agung

We are planning our trip and I was wondering if 1and half hours enough time to spend here?
Skrevet 25. mai 2019
Hi there. My partner and I will be in bali in 2 weeks and we're interested in going to this waterfall. We are not interested in packages that includes other places to visit, we only want to visit this very waterfall only. How do we go about this ?
Skrevet 5. mars 2019
It is not a difficult drive to get there, comparatively speaking (Nusa Penida is another story) but you can also contact any of the tours and simply tell them you only want that part of the package. That's what I did. It wasn't a big deal and Bali is one of those places that it might be prudent to have a local driver when possible.
Skrevet 6. mars 2019
Was this waterfall difficult to get to? Approximately how long was the hike to the waterfall? Do you suggest a guide? Thank you for your time.
Skrevet 5. oktober 2018
No guide require. Prefer wearing comfortable footwear. It will take 15 minutes to reach there.
Skrevet 7. oktober 2018
Its a remote area... you will find local people staying there...i dont think there will be any villa near by
